Walgreens has always been my go to drugstore. This particular Walgreens, product wise, is fantastic. But, the pharmacy takes FOREVER, whether you go inside or go to the drive thru. They always seem to be understaffed. read more

Quite possibly one of the worst experiences that I have had at a Walgreen's for quite some time. We were running late. I forgot to buy a Birthday card. I hate buying those things because they cost too much these days, and either you're cold hearted and pitch them after receiving them or you end up like me, feeling guilty and obliged to save them. I don't need more junk! So anyways...I ran in thinking that it would be a painless experience. Wowsa. I find a card, stand in line, we're 10 minutes away from our destination and I am very close to being late. There are 2 people ahead of me. The people ahead of me were two "hardly speaking English" women who decided to do their Christmas shopping at Walgreen's. Their cart was filled to the brim with Christmas knick knacks, toaster ovens, candles, etc. For whatever reason, they needed to ring each item separately. (And of course this happens when I need to be somewhere.) The line started to get 10 deep. The clerk starts to fidget and tells all of us that cosmetics is open over the loudspeaker. All of us don't want to wait, so we make a beeline for the cosmetic counter. No one is there of course, and since it was over the loudspeaker, there was already a huge line forming. I run back to the checkout lane where I find myself now 5th in line. The women are still not any closer to finishing their transaction, and proceed to try and use expired coupons. They don't understand why they can't use them, and then they proceed to pay for each single purchase with SINGLES AND COINS!!! Then to make it even worse, her whole coin purse emptied all over the floor! I hate waiting in line anywhere, and I was ready to lose my mind. Altogether I wasted half an hour standing in the checkout line, and had to deal with getting reamed by my family for always being late. There were plenty of employees. I have no idea why they couldn't have opened more checkout lines. read more

Very poor service in regards to routine medication refills. My medications are delivered to where I live in a local retirement community. I called in refills for 5 medications on a Monday and by Saturday only 2 had been delivered; the other 3 were not scheduled to be delivered until the following Monday. When I called to ask about this the pharmacy staff said they were sorry but offered no other explanation and had no way of delivering the meds until Monday. This is not the first time they have been late with my medications. Very poor organization. Perhaps understaffed. I'm planning on changing pharmacies. read more

The worst service at a Walgreens. This store is a perfect example to the reason I no longer use the pharmacy. Sat at drive through for 15 minutes Julia the pharmacy tech saw us however gave us no recognition, the proper behavior would of been Julia telling us that they were busy. Always seems to be a long wait for the pharmacy and drive thru. I once called I ask a question and was put on hold. Decided to stay on hold and drive to the location from my home and got there before they picked up the phone. I am now at this moment sitting in the drive thru for 5 minutes without any acknowledgement, rang call button twice. If they can't staff the drive thru then they should just eliminate it. read more

Overcharged me for a 12 pack of Coors light & the cashier was too lazy to accommodate me in double checking the price. I had to do it myself & then when I found I was in fact overcharged I got an attitude from the store supervisor. Nothing but inconvenienced me when this could have been avoided. It's a shame that a store like this probably scams people every single day that doesn't double check their receipts. ZERO stars for customer service at this Walgreens. read more

Unfortunately picked this place to change my prescriptions to because it was close to my work and I thought it would be convenient. I'm diabetic so I tend to have a lot of medications every month. The first time I went in every person there looked like they would rather be some working somewhere else. I have been trying to call them for the past four hours, spending 40 minutes on the phone each time and then getting disconnected. Absolutely no way to reach anyone else in the store to see if anyone is actually working.If this was the first time I would think it was that a big deal but this is happened multiple times. read more

Why oh why is there not an option for ZERO STARS! I loathe Walgreens, especially Wheeling [Milwaukee/Dundee] & BG [Lake Cook/BG Road]! Just bare with me & I'll share some of the issues. I only use Walgreens in emergency situations: if I'm too sick to go out since they do deliver (be aware this method is far from perfect), need an acute script close to closing time (I drive pretty far, considering, to another chain to AVOID this cr*p hole chain or if "my store" is completely out of the medication & I can't wait an extra day to start! PLEASE DO YOUR HOMEWORK!!!!!!! Whether or not you have RX prescription coverage or not!!!!!! Recently, I needed an acute antibiotic script, it was a Sunday, my DDS called it in right away but it was already 4:30 pm (store closed @ 5:00) & therefore, I didn't have time to get to my regular pharmacy! Once I got my script home I wondered why my insurance charged me more this time than a few weeks earlier for the same antibiotic (strength & quantity)! ALWAYS PRICE CHECK! The lower the cash price, (USUALLY) the lower your copay (unless you have set RX tiers)! Case in point (the antibiotic I mentioned above), the last time I picked up the script I'm speaking of my copay was MUCH less (Osco truly is the place to go) than today????? I was perplexed so I called both stores to verify the info & discovered the cash price of "said" script was $25 less expensive @ Osco than Walgreens (lower cash price often equals lower copay)! I did contact Walgreens & it was NO surprise that they were unable to assist me. One last tip; if you have to use Walgreens DO NOT speak to anyone from the Customer Care Center! Always make sure you're speaking to someone from the store in which you plan to pick up your script. In 2.5 years I've used Walgreens 6-7 times (see reasons above) & three of those times (after the 2nd error [pure incompetence] I now refuse to speak too them & request a member of the in-store pharmacy staff; TWO STRIKES YOUR OUT! On two occasions said Customer Care Center told me both of my scripts were ready & waiting for me @ the store! Both times we all packed into the car only too arrive & be told that they (Customer Care Center) had made an error and not only were they NOT ready, the meds were NOT EVEN IN THE STORE (not even a partial fill)!! ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE! Please do your research before filing a script @ Walgreens! read more

This is a larger store than I'm used to, but it isn't laid out in a way I'm familiar with. It took me about 20 minutes to find the four items I was shopping for. Obviously every store is laid out differently, so I should've asked for directions. The staff is friendly and handle the constant long lines very well. Not awful, not good. Waited five minutes (pushing the call button twice--I know how annoying it can be when you're busy) before being acknowledged in the drive-thru. There is a lot of turnover in the pharmacy, although they have always been courteous. If you are expecting privacy, this is not the setting to expect it. I went into the store to print out pics i cropped some pics because they were to big! After I did the whole process to check out i waited to get my pics and when they were done i noticed 4 of the pics i cropped did not come out right the head of the other person was cut off! I went to pay and told him that they didn't come out the right way and that i was not going to pay for the not good quality in my pics, he yelled at me saying i don't know what I was doing that i did it wrong that if i were to ask him to help me the pics would come out the right way and i said he saw me trying and he never asked if i needed help! He said he was going to show me the right way and he kept talking rudely to me and mumbling things, once we got to the register again he raised his voice loudly and banged the scanner on the counter and told me i don't know what im doing when I did everything the right way, what upset me very much was the bad costumer service i was given! An employee should never be this rude and yell at a customer the way he did! At one point i felt scared because he looked like he was trying to start a fight with me! This was an older man with glasses, i did not get his name, but i do not recommend this walgreens! I was a loyal customer in this store and always felt respected till now i don't after this one argument with a disrespectful employee! read more

This clinic was awful and I will never return. Please do yourself a favor by going to a different location. For me, I will go to the services at NorthShore-Lincolnshire. I admire and respect several physicians from Advocate, but I will tell you that Advocate missed the mark on this walk in clinic idea. They are not ready to provide convenient medical care. I used this clinic prior to the change and it is no where as good. read more

This is one of the nicest, biggest Walgreens I have been to. They have a Redbox, photo center, and pharmacy just like all the rest. They have some good deals on some items, and carry certain items that other places don't. However, some items are more expensive that other places you would find it. You just have to pick and choose what you get here. read more

Horribly rude clinic person! The systems were still up and running, yet she wanted people to see a paper brochure that says they weren't taking any more appts. Amazing how people who are in the health industry can have such poor bedside manner. read more

This is for the clinic. Waited near 50 minutes with one person ahead of me. Med Assistant seemed less than enthusiastic to be there (watching YouTube videos) while I sit and wait. Terrible customer service and eventually left without being seen! Strange this happened so close to closing time. I'll stick with Northwestern in the future. read more

I needed quickly to get something and this place was perfect. I found everything fast and easy. This wallgreens is pretty much organized and easy accessable. I did not have to ask for assistance. Very well organized and planned. Signs are visible and each aisle is marked. Manager does good job in this store read more

Why is it they tell you meds are ready over the phone and you sit for 15 min waiting for them to get it together

Took me 2 trips to get my prescription and lots of aggravation. My generic med was switched to brand name without them telling me, huge difference in price, went from under $20 to over $500. Pharmacy tech seemed very confused. I left because I was so aggravated .When I got home I called the pharmacist, as I was speaking she talked over me asking my name. I immediately stopped her and told her I was speaking! I told her the problem and she told me there were a few new people there. When I went back last night to pick up my med the pharmacist helping me was interrupted 6 time!!! One needed a swipe of her badge the other one couldn't find a medication, another was a phone call and so on. She wanted me to add the last 4 digits of my phone#, the first 3 #'s were there and I told her this was about 15 years old and it was an invalid #, she told me if I didn't add the last 4 digits she would not give me my prescription. Luckily I remembered. The tech taking care of the drive thru looked to see cars in line and made a comment as too how many cars were waiting and to stop already!!!! absolute garbage costumer service at the pharmacy. we were waiting to be helped for more than 15 minutes, and during our wait the pharmacist walked past numerous times without ever acknowledging us or letting us know it would be a few minutes. when the pharmacist FINALLY came over, again she completely ignored us & went to help someone who had literally just arrived. 5-10 minutes later (at least 20-25 min in total of being here without receiving any help), she finally comes to help us & we comment on her actions and she has the audacity to roll her eyes at us and give us attitude. unless management or the higher ups retrain this horrid woman on how to do her job & how to be respectful & have common courtesy, i will not be returning to this location & i will make sure to let my family & friends know how terrible this experience was read more
