For real: Ulta and I are good. And especially this location near the Keystone Mall. I got greeted by no fewer than four people within the first five minutes of entering Ulta. Some people think that should be standard, but to me, that seems excessive. I like to be ignored at any shop that I visit. If you don't say a dang word to me the entire time I'm in your store, I will leave completely happy. But other people like to be acknowledged and greeted and asked if they need help finding things. And to those people I say: Visit this Ulta! They will greet you and help you find things. I told all of the people who greeted me that I was just there to look around, and they kindly let me be. I found what I came for (a Laura Mercier eyeshadow stick). Then I remembered that I needed a Dermalogica oil cleanser, and then I remembered that I wanted to get a special nail polish for my toes. (I found a cool metallic dark purple polish.) And then I just got lost looking at all of the nice things that promised to make me prettier and glossier and younger and happier. There are lots of things at Ulta! But they're all organized nicely and displayed prettily.

Everyone was so friendly and nice and chitchatting and checking out the new hairstyles. I was very excited about my bangs. I haven't had in many many years and Emily did a great job. When I saw her, I was like that's what I want your bangs just a little longer and she totally gave me a blowout and you can't see in the picture but it is beautiful. And when I got home, I tried styling it myself and it was still looking good so I'm very impressed. I think sometimes they have coupons in their little flyers for haircuts, etc.. just so you know...

The front desk staff was so friendly, and my stylist really took time to listen and explain options before we got started. I left feeling pampered and confident--the color and cut turned out exactly how I hoped. What I especially appreciated was how professional and knowledgeable everyone was. They made the whole experience feel personal, not rushed.

Left crying... I wanted to say I have been a client at this…read moresalon for years. And always had a decent experience. I have very long natural hair and I wanted a simple trim and framing long layers. And I left with a botched bang instead. I cannot even put in words how heartbroken I am. Zoe cut my hair. I grew my hair for 3 years now from a bob and have it so messed it is breaking my heart. I cannot even blend it to make it less visible. I feel very self conscious now and I feel ashamed of my hair. I wish I never came that day. Because now it will take months to regrow and the emotional toll it takes on me is immense, and my self esteem is at bottom low. I encourage stylist who cannot cut hair to get more training and experience. Please for the love of GOD if you cannot cut hair or cannot do a certain haircut just DONT DO IT. I rather you say "hey I don't feel comfortable with this haircut" rather than you messing my hair up and I have to be stuck with this horror for months on my face. Unfortunately this was my favorite place for me and my girls to go for years get our hair done but i won't be back. This has been very traumatic and emotionally devastating for me.

What a unique experience in Carmel, where things can feel so cookie cutter sometimes. Located in…read morethe town center in a deceivingly small area, there is a huge selection of scents to choose from and combine. My girlfriend got this experience for me as a birthday gift and I was initially overwhelmed the array of options available. There is a list of suggested combinations available based on your interests and the scents are categorized by their smells, such as fruits, spices, and musks. Even further, Melissa, the owner, was there when we went and was able to blend scents based on our interests. They have a variety of items to apply the scents to, including scrubs, body washes, and aftershaves. While a little expensive, the ability to choose your own fragrances in quality products is definitely worth it and worth coming back to.

However, when I used the product for the first time, I experienced a skin reaction. My neck and chest became red and irritated, with a stinging sensation that lasted for several hours. I reached out to Bath Junkie to report the issue and share a photo, and I will say that their customer service team responded promptly. The representative I corresponded with apologized for the situation and advised me to stop using the product immediately. She said their product packaging was accurate. There was no offer to make things right, such as a refund or replacement, nor any apparent takeaway on their end to dispose of (or further test) the cherry or almond scents in my product, or change their labeling. I do have sensitive skin, but I've used a variety of customizable products from other brands (e.g. Buff City Soaps) without issue, and shop at stores like Lush, so this reaction was unexpected. Ultimately, I have to caution others with sensitive skin to be mindful when trying Bath Junkie's products, and do a test patch prior to applying more widely to the skin.
