Left crying... I wanted to say I have been a client at this…read moresalon for years. And always had a decent experience. I have very long natural hair and I wanted a simple trim and framing long layers. And I left with a botched bang instead. I cannot even put in words how heartbroken I am. Zoe cut my hair. I grew my hair for 3 years now from a bob and have it so messed it is breaking my heart. I cannot even blend it to make it less visible. I feel very self conscious now and I feel ashamed of my hair. I wish I never came that day. Because now it will take months to regrow and the emotional toll it takes on me is immense, and my self esteem is at bottom low. I encourage stylist who cannot cut hair to get more training and experience. Please for the love of GOD if you cannot cut hair or cannot do a certain haircut just DONT DO IT. I rather you say "hey I don't feel comfortable with this haircut" rather than you messing my hair up and I have to be stuck with this horror for months on my face. Unfortunately this was my favorite place for me and my girls to go for years get our hair done but i won't be back. This has been very traumatic and emotionally devastating for me.

My friend recommended going to Method Salon for a haircut and I could not have been more pleased…read morewith my experience! My hairdresser was Tim and he did a fantastic job! I have always had nice, thick, and generally long hair. However during quarantine I did some diy hair dye and hair cuts. Constantly trying to dye my own hair and lifting color myself damaged the lower half of my hair to where it was constantly frizzy, tangled, and there was a lot of breakage. I tried to do hair masks every two days to try to get my hair back to its normal healthy state, but no luck. So I went in to Method Salon to chop off all of the damaged hair. I told Tim, as I have told all of my past hairdressers, to do whatever he thought would look best and to cut off what was needed to make my hair look healthy! Tim did a fantastic job of working with me to find a style that would flatter my face shape and making sure that I was ok with the length! I ended up buying two of the products that Tim used on my hair too-- the Oribe Dry Shampoo and the Oribe Split End Seal. They smell heavenly and make my hair look like I just stepped out of a salon. I am so glad to be back to getting compliments on my hair!

She doesn't weigh it down with heavy product and is able to get a curl to stick when styling! Not to mention she gives the best scalp massages, this is really why I get haircuts! ‍ Another thing I really appreciate is that they have a front desk person. They notify the stylist you've arrived so you don't have to wait long and they help with payments and appointment scheduling. I get text reminders when I have an appointment coming up. I've bought product here and been happy with it too. Probably most important and what you're interested in--the price feels reasonable. I can come and walk out with both a cut and a tip for around $50. This, aside from my relationship with my stylist, is one of the main reasons I've consistently returned. If you're new to the area, The Beauty Bar is a great hairdresser to try out. See if Ella has a free spot for you!

Location…read moreis far from convenient given that I live downtown, but I followed the strong reviews and it didn't disappoint. I'm not one to enjoy getting haircuts as I often feel they take too much time, and the price somehow magically grows without me knowing. However, that wasn't the case at Kiss Kiss Bang Bang Salon. From the minute I walked in the door, the energy was high and it really felt like the staff enjoyed one another. There was good energy buzzing throughout the space. I was quickly greeted and offered and snack and drink and I was ushered back on time. The cut was thorough and down to business - cherry on top? A scalp and neck massage. I was lucky enough to be paired with Lianna who unbeknownst to me, is a curl expert and nailed my haircut. I'll definitely be booking with her for my next hair cut. It was such a joy to see my hair "alive" again. Thank you so much!

I expressed my frustration politely to Kathryn and instead of rectifying the issue Kathryn Brash then proceeded to block me.

Told her I had no idea, other than I wanted a little zing of color - maybe something underneath? And she helped me pick a color and a gameplan. We did just a hint of this gorgeous red/purple/cherry cola-ish color underneath, and a medium brown to cover up a few of my grays (I mean, a few of my strands of glitter, lol) And then she put a couple long soft layers in (havent had layers like , ever, and was very apprehensive). I think it turned out great. I'm already thinking about how we might up the game next time I go back. :) Pricewise, we came out to $155 (before tip) for the cut & color, which included a $40 conditioning treatment. Not sure if that treatment its somehtign I'll need every time, but it was worth doing this time. Also, Cianna recommend some hair care and products but did not push a hard sell (which was very nice). The salon was pretty busy when I was there (a Friday afternoon) and all the other clients looked like they were getting great cuts/colors as well. Since it was my first time there, I have nothing to compare but I *think* maybe some of the salon was a little under construction - maybe a bit of a remodel, becuase the seating area under the dyers and some of the area area around the washing station was a little cramped (not "spa" feeling) - but based on other reviews about hte atmosphere, I'm guessing this might be temporary. Very pleased with Cianna (and also Sierra at the desk) and already have my next appt set in 8 weeks! #ReviewsByRL

I have come here multiple times, never choosing anyone specifically to have more availability since…read moreI've always had a good experience and cut no matter who it was. Unfortunately, this is likely to have been my last time here. I clearly explained I wanted the sides trimmed to the same length with no guard and the lever/clippers lowered, with the top losing an inch or two to where I indicated it should end. The stylist (maybe Erica, I'm not sure exactly--sorry if that's the wrong name) completely misunderstood what I asked for and did not confirm it for herself to make sure she understood right. She also cut my hair in a way I've never had it cut before because it's not the way an undercut should be done. My hair is about 1 1/2 to 2 inches too short in the back where it lays, and the hair is layered so that the front isn't the longest part as it should be. My first impression was off-putting, but I did not want to be rude and gave her the benefit of the doubt. That turned out to be a mistake, as it went as poorly as I hoped it wouldn't. She did go to tell the receptionist, resulting in comping the bill, but the receptionist still had the audacity to ask if I wanted to leave anything else for the stylist. It seems now I'll need to double-confirm that any stylist knows what I'm asking for to avoid this situation again. If you're looking to get anything that requires something beyond clippers with a guard, I'd look eslewhere. It is just hair at the end of the day; however, I will be looking for a new place/person and highly doubt I will be returning.
