I was pleasantly surprised the first time I walked in to Liberty Square Pharmacy. Liberty Square Pharmacy made changing pharmacy easy. They made all the phone calls needed to transfer prescriptions from my former pharmacy in another state. I felt like I was walking back in time. Clint Meeks; the pharmacist has great old pharmacy crucibles and vases on display in the store. I saw old time name brands that are tried and true products. Mr. Clint Meeks and his staff; Jamie and Theresa are real professionals always quick with a greeting. Not just a standard "can I help you?"...they greet you by name and have a conversation with you. They ask about your family and remember to ask about things mentioned in past conversations. They take the time to address any of your concerns about a prescription. They get your prescriptions filled in a timely manner and guild you to just the right product when you need over the counter medicines or durable medical supplies. I could tell it offered more. But I certainly did not expect to find the most incredible array of gifts, decor, novelties, penny candy, toys, men and women spa specialties and cocktail/bar items. There is even a gift wrap area and a UPS shipping counter. As I wandered around we started talking to this handsome man in scrubs. At first I thought he was a customer but learned he was the Pharmacist and Owner of this business. He was very personable and chatted about vision for his store. In my mind, I pictured a Hallmark movie where this young Pharmacist relocated to this small town and a happy story ensues. The actual pharmacy counter was very busy. It looked to be running very smoothly, given the fast moving crowd. The locals were all very friendly as I wandered around. I am seriously impressed with the very cosmopolitan feel to this store on Main Street in this tiny town.

I had to confirm that she was referring to me. When I addressed the issue, she attempted to justify calling me "whoever." That is dismissive and unprofessional, especially in a healthcare setting. New systems do not replace basic customer service, courtesy, or respect. Staff should properly address patients and wear identification. Please do better.

Go to any other pharmacy unless you want the poorest customer service and treatment in Columbia…read more Had doctor send a prescription to this location because I was staying there during the day with a hospital patient. They did not see the prescription in their system, went back just before closing and they still did not see it and seemed not to care. The prescription was for a common antibiotic and I showed them in MyChart that the doctor had input it as well as the doctor's name. No concern they would not do anything. I asked for one pill for the evening as prescribed and the problem could be resolved in the morning. No to doing that. Had it been a narcotic they certainly should not do it but no excuse for not doing it with all the information available. CVS culture is not what it use to be.
