I would call the shop "whimsical." Many of the soaps looked like a glitter-happy five-year-old had made them. I was more interested in the bath bombs, although I usually hate baths (now who's the five-year-old?), just because they smelled so good (and because it was a tiny store and I felt pressured to purchase SOMEthing). Each were about $5 apiece, except for the malformed leftovers, which were $1 each. Bath bombs just disintegrate in water anyway, so I didn't really care what my bombs looked like. I picked up a lavender leftover and a normal lemongrass/coconut. There were some less obvious scents as well, like "Mystery." The woman who ran the shop (who I assumed to be the owner since there were pictures of her and her goats all over) chatted merrily at me as I shopped. I prefer to be left alone when I browse, but this shop is basically a closet so it was impossible to escape and I was forced to make small talk. The small talk was about goats, though, so it was better than most. However, when I checked out, she abruptly asked whether I had cash. I didn't. She sighed loudly and said, "It costs a fortune," as she ran my card. Gee, I'm sorry I spent money in your store. If someone wants a minimum amount spent to run a card, she should post a sign saying as much.

Dr. Morgan did extremely well handling an ear problem I have had for several years. After going to…read moreseveral family practice doctors and getting misdiagnosed with ear infections every time (one even gave me an irrigation), Dr. Morgan diagnosed me correctly within a minute of walking into his exam room. I had a tumor called a cholesteatoma growing in my ear, and it had punctured the eardrum. After being diagnosed, I scheduled to remove it with Dr. Morgan, who performed a two-hour surgery to remove the tumor and replace my eardrum. Six months down the road my hearing is back to 90%, I have a functional eardrum (made out of jaw muscle), and I haven't had any infection-like symptoms since the surgery. Great doctor! On top of being competent he is also very kind and personable. I'm thankful Walla Walla valley has this calibre of doctor.

Patient care, knowledge and great energy are what stands out the most but being made to feel comfortable and safe, in an otherwise challenging treatment, goes a long way. I have an aversion to dentists from poor treatment as a child but I never worry when I go to Dr. Rietz' office. They are patient first and it shows. They communicate throughout treatment so there is no mystery what's going on. Some of my dental care has been a challenge but they always have an answer. I'm a patient for life.

My nails were completely chipped off within 2 days of getting my nails done. It was really disappointing.
