I went to CVS pharmacy for years as that's the only pharmacy my company's insurance would use. I switched insurance companies this year and switched to Walgreens as I had issues every time I would try and get a prescription filled at CVS. I've been going to this Walgreens for almost a year now without a single issue. I am so glad that I was able to make the switch. read more

Located in Sun Lakes. Very poor selection of greeting cards as I was looking for a simple birthday card and couldn't find one that was suitable. Purchased several items and one was in sale and in their coupon book, the older cashier got upset with me, and said, you need to tell me before I ring it up. Ouch! As I was looking at the register of my order I was scrolling in the keypad to verify sale item prices and was reprimanded again not to touch it till she completed my order. Dang, I was scolded. It really depends on who you deal with at this location. Today was not a good day there . The pharmacist ,Madeline , was extremely condescending. The tech I dealt with just did not want to listen. She wanted to parrot . I don't think that doing your job as you should necessarily makes you a martyr. While I'm very aware that they are very busy , so am I. The staff is always friendly and helpful here. They literally will walk me to the location of a product if I can't find it and give me advice as to which one is best. I also get my prescriptions filled here and they are usually very quick. The store is clean and well stocked read more

I got in line and had 2 cars in front of me with one behind me. So I backed up a little and got into the other lane. I waited until he helped the 2 cars and then the lady behind me pulled up and he started to help her. I called him on the intercom and told him I was next in which he started to argue with me. Finally I said ask her who was next and she told him to go ahead and help me. I was picking up an antibiotic for my husband and he said he couldn't release it to me, the pharmacist had to in which 2 more cars went through before he called the pharmacist over. The Pharmacy staff is friendly, I'll give them that. I've had numerous occasions where they tell me my prescription is ready, I get in there to pick it up. They say they are filling it, I wait 15 minutes, then they tell me there is a delay with insurance. I go home with no prescription. I've gone round and round with them on filling a prescription. My doctor's office tells me they called it in and even spoke with someone, yet I get there, no prescription filled. I was told my prescription had expired, yet I was supposed to have 1 more refill on it. The pharmacist tells me they filled it last month "by accident". That they shouldn't have as it was expired. WHAT?? Now I have to start this whole process over again with calling them, calling the doctor, etc., etc. I've gone without medicine all holiday weekend due to their errors. I don't know who is the "MANAGER" of the pharmacy, but they have got to get it together!This customer service is unacceptable. read more

I require a special order prescription, last month a young gentleman assured me that it was taken care of and that a bottle was there especially for me for my next refills. So today I was told my bottle was used to fill other prescriptions and we do not have access to any at this time, I stopped there and was rudely addressed from Theresa,the pharmacy manager,she stated that I need to go to gilbert and Riggs, that wasn't a problem,I asked will you reorder the medication....she said No,in a very condescending, dismissive tone...mind you never getting out of her chair "this is a teaching pharmacy with high turn over and we Do Not have special requests her by customers!" This is the worst pharmacy in the city. I don't recommend this place to anyone. The people are slow and don't care. I have been sitting in the drive-thru for 10 minuets and not a single person as cane to the window. He did see me and looked right at me but does not want to help. Now there is a line. Husband bought Cerave Moisturizing Cream. It was advertised buy one get one at half off. He had his card scanned, as the ad indicated it was needed. He did everything right and he trusted that they would ring it up properly. They did not. He was ripped off, charged full price for two. He came home and I checked the receipt. He WAS charged full price twice. I went back and gave the manager a piece of mind. It's a wonder that I was able to talk to her at all. The front cashier did not want to call her. She complained twice and refused. I started to get annoyed. Then she told me the manager is female. Who the f* cares if it is a man or a woman, which I told her nicely without the f*. I told her I didn't appreciate the store taking advantage of seniors. The manager said the one on sale is a different shade of blue. I told her there is no other shade of blue and they are exactly as the ad shows - I slapped the ad down right in front of her face. She reluctantly refunded us with a look on her face that told me she knew they deliberately tried to rip us off. This is not the first time that they failed to input the sale price of something in their computer and an item is scanned wrong. It happens far too often with Walgreens. I think they do it deliberately. I do not like shopping here. Unfortunately, the CVS nearest us is like a gas station mart - so small that I won't even waste my time there. Guess I should start traveling 10 miles to find a decent drug store. Unfortunately, there's no competition. It's one of those two but, I just don't like this one on Riggs Rd. There are bigger and better ones some miles north or east. read more
