This is a nice Walgreens, very well laid out and easy to find what you need. Lots of greeting card choices and snacks and makeup, OTC drugs. Sometimes a staff member walks by and offers help. There's always a line to pick up prescriptions but it goes fast, the staff is quick and efficient. I've encountered one particular staff that was condescending, acts like he doesn't want to be there. Otherwise, staff is friendly and helpful especially the pharmacy manager, Mary. I've been coming here for years and she already knows me! read more

This is the worst pharmacy in Scottsdale. I stopped using them years ago but my wife had an injury and needed a quick prescription. Two days later and we still have nothing. No one answers the phone. They pick it up and put you back on hold or hang up. So I went into the store and they left for lunch in the middle of helping me. I have now moved all prescriptions to another pharmacy. absolutely terrible this pharmacy literally sucks. I get a prescription filled once a month and every single time I would go in to pick it up and it wouldn't be ready. I would try calling days prior and if i was lucky they might answer only to put me on hold for 30+ minutes. I genuinely think every pharmacist who works there has no idea what they're doing. They can never answer my questions or help me figure anything out. They have no sense of urgency and are low-key super mean. Actually, there's one nice lady, her name is like chiram or something. This is the worst pharmacy I have ever dealt with. They are rude and unhelpful. Don't both trying to call.. they won't answer. They will pick up the call and immediately put you on hold, repeatedly with no acknowledgment you're on the phone. I was on hold for 50 minutes the other day, they picked up the call and hung up on me. I understand everyone seems to be short staffed in our post Covid world, but kindness goes a long way. No stars. This place use to be awesome maybe 15yrs ago but has gone downhill over time with no hope in sight. The pharmacy is probably among the worst on the planet, they seem to not even start filling prescriptions until you show up in person and ask about it. Then, it used to be "30min" but overtime grew to 1hr, to hours, to "we'll let you know when its ready" which is days. That's very bad if you are sick or have a bad condition that requires medicine on a regular basis. Who can risk waiting days? They also made an error refencing someone else's insurance and/or account when supposed to be talking with me about mine, then tried to deny it. How does one make a mistake like that? Also, if you try to call them, they'll pick up for half a second and put you on hold. This happens repeatedly. This is outright rude behavior toward customers. What if there is an issue? Walgreens doesn't seem to care or take their pharmacy department seriously. Are they understaffed and overworked? If Walgreens made it into boiler-room conditions, can anyone imagine the safety risk to the public that creates? Or are they just bitter and toxic? That's still dangerous to the public, isn't it? What's going on here with your store Walgreens? It's confusing how they are even still in business and hasn't been torn down and made into a gas station yet. This Walgreens has deteriorated in all their departments. Prescriptions are a joke to attempt to be filled on time...or anywhere near a couple of hours on time. Switched to CVS for prescriptions and am much happier. Then there is the photo department. WHAT A JOKE! I ordered a gift in the form of a photo mouse pad. Walgreens called me and notified me (on a Tuesday) that they were out of stock and MIGHT get some more on Friday. The woman suggested I cancel my order and purchase from elsewhere since it was a gift. So I took her advice...went on line and cancelled my order...and ordered from Snapfish. On Saturday Walgreens sent me an email that my order was processed and shipped! I called and said I had cancelled that order. They said once the order ships it cannot be cancelled! I explained about the phone call I received and was getting no where with this woman so decided to continue with the chat option on line. This was handled very well and I was told I would be receiving a refund onto the same card I used...and the recipient of the mouse pad could keep it. I was happy with this conclusion. Then I decided to go back to the chat on Wednesday to verify that they had the right card to use...and a very rude customer service woman told me that the communication I had on Monday was wrong and that I could not get a refund as I did not cancel in time!!! What????? So I kept a firm stand and she finally switched to her supervisors who now said the refund would be sent to me in the mail and not back onto the card! I'll wait for a week and see if this happens! What a joke! I will never take any business to Walgreens again! read more

I have been to a number of Walgreens pharmacies and this one is alarmingly disorganized. I am not sure if it laziness or incompetence but my experiences there tell me it's a combo of both. When you call, they rarely pick up, and when they do, they put you on hold and then disconnect the call. They struggle with coherent communication and push their responsibilities on to you as the customer. Very poor service. read more

If you need to fill a prescription, don't fill it here. The Walgreens store itself is fine, but my issue lies with the pharmacy. I had my doctor send over a prescription early this week (with the pharmacy addressed confirmed prior). When it didn't get filled, I called the pharmacy for an update. I had to make several phone calls before I could get anyone to answer. When someone did answer the phone, I found that my prescription was misplaced. I called my doctor who then called the prescription in the following day. I called for a follow up several hours later and they said they didn't get a call and had no prescriptions for me. I had to make three calls before I could get someone to answer. The phone would be hung up after about 10 mins wait each time and not on my end. It's now been 3 days since this started and I still can't get my medication or an answer from the pharmacy. read more

I've now been on hold 49 min they won't even come on and say anything they just keep picking up the phone and placing it back on hold. Yikes. Placed an online photo order, got an email it was ready. Went to pick it up, it was nowhere to be found. Had to pick up my prescription today and I had to wait a while so looking around the store I noticed there is a lot of sales on there makeup and hair products and nail polishes because you can never have to much of that ..right? I also noticed they had a make up station so you can try some of their products which is nice.I picked up some vitamins today , a lot were buy one get one free, also airborne and Vitamin C emergency packets i use a lot of during cold and flu season so today was a good day to stock up and don't forget the flu shot because If it protects you at only 30% it's better than nothing and I was told by the pharmacist there were nine new viruses added to the influenza , I know there are a lot of people who are against the flu shot but I am not one of them I really feel that it is necessary to protect yourself even at 30% read more

This Walgreens pharmacy is very busy - particularly during the "winter visitor" season when I feel like their traffic triples. Given the location and amount of traffic they get, you do need to plan ahead - there is no such thing as a 15 minute prescription- and they will tell you this. I have seen many negative reviews for this store because of this - I give them the opposite review, because I want to know - realistically - if I should go somewhere else to fill an urgent prescription, and they will tell me. I pick up 4 regular press each month, as well as anywhere from 1-4 "extra" ones. I'm 44 years old. The team in the pharmacy has always been courteous, friendly, and accommodating when I have truly needed help, and I have done the same for them when I have been able to be flexible. If you need a tight turnaround, this is not the pharmacy for you. But - if you want friendly service, realistic expectations on timing, and quick corrections on (very rare) mistakes, this is where you should be. read more

So, the woman I dealt with in the pharmacy seems to believe her main purpose is to find a way NOT to refill a prescription. My script was supposed to be on auto fill. Somehow, not by me, auto fill was cancelled. Go to the store. Even though I had a refill left (maybe two) she refused to refill the prescription. She sent a request to my doctor who sent another refill authorization. Was advised by text that the prescription was ready for pick up. Showed up to get it (btw, it's NOT a narcotic or addictive drug) and she wouldn't give me the medication until I answered an irrelevant medical question that was none of her business. After walking away from the drive thru window several times and disappearing, she finally came back and gave me the prescription. Was not given a choice of how to pay. Was given a $5 coupon for my next purchase of $20 or more. I wouldn't spend $1 at their store. I will probably keep my prescription at this store. A reduced workload would only be doing them a favor. read more

The pharmacy lacks customer service. They are unfriendly and not helpful. As mentioned in other reviews, you'll often get the run around without anyone actually willing to help. What an absolute nightmare. I'm finally writing this review as this is my final straw. If anyone from corporate read this, please go in and start coaching these employees. I'm glad Walgreens provides employment and is a big corporation to do so, but I'm fed up with the run around. First off, the store is always in a cluster and never looks clean at all. No one smiles at you or greets you when you come in. Don't just stare at me wth!!!! Ask if I need any help or something, not walk or stand around with your finger in your ass. The pharmacy is an absolute disaster. They are just order takers. I get it a lot of people in this country are on pills/meds because that's where all the money is. So they are always busy getting stuff wrong and if you want over the counter they tell you what aisle it's on and point you on your way. I called today and talked directly to the pharmacy and asked If they had Tamiflu which I had a prescription for. I am sick and in desperate need to get better so I can work, not visit Walgreens. I made a SPECIAL trip and go out of my way. When I say I need this filled they say we are out. WTF do you mean you are out, I just called 10 min ago and you said you had it. Well they didn't. It was a halfass apology and the kid behind the pharmacy county could give two sh*ts about anything. Order taking. No wonder other reviews are the same. As close as this Walgreens is to our house, I rarely come here. Don't ask my why, it's just never on my radar. It's a standard Walgreens and offers the same layout and products that others have. My most recent visit was just after Easter. We dropped by here on the way home from Church to pick up some Easter Candies that were on sale. Just go to Walgreens for deals. Pharmacy is o.k. - could be better, especially when your husband has diabetes and you NEED supplies. Front cashier, older lady, was AWFUL!
