Stopped by and ordered a Beefstrami, very delicious. Favorite part of the sandwich was the bread, thin roll, fresh, crispy and chewy all in one. Staff was very friendly, great neighborhood spot!

    Beefstrami

After ten years away from the neighborhood I moved back and the first thing I did was visit Grocery Station! I was very happy to see Marty still owned the store and the amazing job he's done with the place. The floors were recently done and they look a million times better than that old tile. They have new shelves, the wine and beer selection has grown immensely, also the soft drinks selections had a big improvement. My main reason for coming was of course the great deli and in particular the Beefstrami! This sandwich is simple but bursting with flavor. Creamy mayo tangy mustard the pickles add the perfect crunch and saltiness. I saw a review from Marky M. saying negative things about the sandwich and the store. Based off his picture it looked like he modified the Beefstrami to fulfill his basic child taste buds. Looking at his profile the guy seems miserable and only leaves negative reviews at all the places he visits.

Marty's the man, The Reuben is insane work and you all should give this place a shot! Great food made by great people in an even greater environment. Don't pass this place up

    Beefstrami. This for $10?

Based on the pictures and reviews, I was expecting a lot more than this sad looking beefstrami. Very little meat, one single slice of tomato and little onions, compressed and flaky bread, and cheese that I didn't even realize was there but was melted between the meat. Compare mine to the other pics on here and something is quite wrong. It's obviously not the same sandwich place it used to be. Higher prices, lower quality and smaller portions. What a shocker these days. As for taste, it was one-dimensional. No flavor aside from the meat which tasted strange. Definitely no cheddar or mayo flavor despite being on there. The teen who helped me was nice, but based on the worker conversations and who was loitering around, I have a feeling it's stoner feed made by stoners. Sorry, but unlike what I was told by the guy helping me, I most certainly was not 'missing out' by not trying them before. Especially not for over $10 before tax! If anyone with taste buds is reading this, please save your money and go somewhere good for a sandwich, like a certain place off Raintree with a well-warranted five star rating. As for here, it barely gets two.

I ordered two sandwiches through GrubHub, the Philly cheesesteak sandwich with onion, Swiss cheese, green peppers and mayonnaise. I wish that is what I got, but I didn't, there was a sprinkling of mayonnaise no onion, one piece of green pepper that looked like a green M&M that somehow made its way onto the sandwich. The bun was so dry I nearly choked on the sandwich. I also tried the potato salad, which was very good tasted similar to what you would get at Costco or the grocery store. The Italian sandwich made up for how bad the Philly cheesesteak was. I think someone was having a bad day when they made the Philly cheesesteak similar to the day the Philadelphia eagles had against the Kansas City Chiefs. That being said the Italian sandwich was absolutely delicious and the only reason I'm giving four stars to this restaurant/grocery store. I really wanted to get five stars but I could not excuse the absolute poor quality of the Philly. It was pathetic. I will def. eat at this place again, simply for the Italian sandwich, wish I could've said the same for the Philly cheesesteak. The bread on the Italian was fantastic as well!!!

Their newest menu, just picked up today. Side one.

Still the best subs in town. Call ahead and they will have them ready for you when you get there. And man, that homemade bread they use is to die for!

I am not a fan of the gas price setting Circle K's market share of gas stations in the Valley. However, this specific location is their new large format gas station and as the result is clean inside and around the property. They usually have squeegees at the pumps, but the windshield washing solution reservoir is usually almost empty. They have a fairly large beer/seltzer selection in their walk in cooler. They have a mix of Circle K branded products ranging from candy to beef jerky I enjoy their Mountain Mix of nuts and chocolate. Their coffee is ok. I usually only get a fountain soda. If you have the Circle K app, there are frequent deals, like buy 10 foundation drinks and get one free or $2 credit on select holidays (most recent was tax day 4/15) and your birthday. Employees are friendly, but there is usually a short line at the checkout due to the popular location in Old Town Scottsdale.

Told other people that as well, however it looked like the store was pretty open and he was just hanging out with the doors open and people in their cars hanging out with them. Not a very good way to run a business that's in the heart of old town Scottsdale where you can make a lot of money. He's just turning away customers dude should get fired. Maybe he'd learned that all he has to do do is let me get a soda pretty sure that's like the easiest job in the world to get and do he needs to be taught a lesson on how working at a place works

And this location used to be the shining star and a pristine example for all Circle K's in the valley. Always clean. Always stocked. Not anymore. The bathroom has been broken for who knows how long. I don't drink soda, but there are out of order signs on a lot of fountain drink dispensers. I've been drinking iced tea in the morning. But it is a hit or a miss on whether there is going to be any tea made. If Gary is working, it is almost a guarantee that I'll be able to get my tea, if they have any in stock. If he is not working, then i can bank on the tea containers being empty. All offerings should be available 24/7. I could go in at 5:30 am or 7:30 am and on a day Gary is not there, 70% of the time, no tea is made. I've taken to going and checking the containers before i grab a cup and fill it with ice. Oh and if you play scratchers/lottery, you are an early worker bee and stop by before 6am... good luck wanting to buy or check/claim winning lottery tickets. For some reason, this location does not sell or check before 6am. It's like corporate is letting this one die a slow death. Maybe so they can sell the property cause there's now 2 vacant lots just south of the building. And that corner i see as prime real estate. $$$$$$$$ If this one goes belly up, I hope Gary can move to one of the locations near my house.
