Absolutely unacceptable behavior of the pharmacist. This location has the most uneducated, rude, and unprofessional pharmacists of all the Walgreens I have ever called to in different states. Staff gave me wrong information and when I call back to ask the pharmacist what should be done, he yelled, laughed, and lied that they have never given me that information. I went to Walgreens and spent $20 to receive a $5 coupon a few days ago to use towards my "next purchase". Only because I had that coupon I went to Walgreens today to get some items for my upcoming vacation and when I tried to use the coupon I was told that now it's "activated" and I can use it NEXT time. I was so confused and annoyed because I'v never heard of a policy like that.. they're literally making a big deal just to save $5. I'm really annoyed. I came into this location for passport photos. The gentleman who took my photos and rang me up was exceptional. I filled out my paper work for my passport and came back into the store to ask the clerk to staple my photo to the paper work... I wound up putting my passport paperwork in a puddle of coffee someone had spilled on the counter top and all over the floor. There was a short heavy set women on her phone covering the photo section while the gentleman was off doing whatever. I asked her why this mess wasn't cleaned up and how it now caused me a problem. Her reply was "I'm usually in beauty, I'm just covering". This is horrendous, take some pride in your place of work. I was refunded the cost of my photos but I still had to waste a bunch of time re doing all my paper work. read more

Unable to fill a prescription that was called in by Mayo Clinic hospital well over 24 hours before we arrived to pick it up. The hospital or I were never informed the prescription could not be filled there until we arrived to pick it up. Which was just before closing on a Sunday. The prescription was for intravenous antibiotics needed for the next day. Very stressful scrambling to figure out what to do next. I can't believe how poorly the pharmacy treated me. I was in the drive through line and they literally closed the window as I drove up. I ran around to the inside and they said "nope, we're closed." Yesterday I drove to get my daughters medication and asked the pharmacist if it was all in the bag she said yes and handed me it. I drove home and I was missing two medications that my daughter severely needed. Yes I should had checked but you expect a person who works in pharmacy to provide ALL of the medication the first time prescribed. Now I have to go back today to get what I could had already gotten for my sick 5 year old daughter. Wasted gas and time. This is a review of the Pharmacy. All you need to know is... go to another Pharmacy. In the past 5 months of giving this place a real honest try they have: -messed up 3/3 of the same prescription three months in a row (giving me the wrong number of pills) which causes issues with my insurance and the refill timing. - Argued with me in front of other customers (the pharmacist) saying he knows how to count and did the math when he clearly did not. - Told me multiple times scripts for my family would be ready at a certain day or time. Never were. - Made very hurtful and rude comments about my health based on prescriptions I was filling. I called corporate Walgreens to complain, they apologized and said a manager would follow up with me. Pharmacy manager called me and apologized and said to just call and deal directly with them. I work and have a life so waiting around for their specific shift to call for a refill or go in to pick up isn't an option for me. - Put 2 scripts on autofill, received texts they were ready. Went in to pick up and they weren't even scheduled to be filled. Tech told me I was wrong or lying about receiving a text message. Still have the darn text on my phone. With all of the above it probably seems like I take 25 prescriptions a month right? Wrong. Two. Two very routine and simple medications for endocrine issues that millions of people use daily. That and a random script here and there for myself or my husband and we are both in good health Nothing exciting here folks! Walgreens usually aren't great but this one takes the cake. Like another reviewer said, go up the street to the other Walgreens or go across the street to Fry's. This place will cause nothing other than frustration, wasted time and money. read more

Before I pulled off I asked her why she was being so rude and first she disputed the claims and once I told her about her passive aggressive behavior she began to apologize. Dissapointed, I recently switched to Walgreens pharmacy when my pharmacy was bought out by another company. I was very sick one weekend and had my prescriptions sent here since it's literally about a half a mile away from my home. I went to the drive-thru with my script in order to just be in and out of there. The lady who helped me said it would be about 45 minutes to fill the order. Instead of driving home I decided to wait in my car. I was feeling terrible. After an hour of not receiving a call or text that my prescriptions were ready, I decided to go inside. To my surprise when I stepped up to the counter the same lady quickly began gathering my medications, entering them into the system, and preparing my order. This made me wonder what she'd been doing for the last hour. I was not happy with the wait time that I was given because I do believe they could have prepared my medication right away. Isn't that the whole point of having a drive-thru ? Hopefully my next experience will be better. read more

Don't use this pharmacy for any reason. They are close to my home so I have filled prescriptions twice but I will not be doing it again. The first time was about a month ago and I had 3 scripts. I dropped them off on a Wednesdayafternoon and they told me it would be 45-60 min. No big deal, I headed home to take care of some things and about an hour and a half later went back to pick up the scripts. Imagine my surprise when they weren't ready and I had to wait anoth 45 minutes! Keeping this in mind today, I again dropped of two scripts and was told 45 minutes. I gave them 2 hours and they still weren't done! They need to either staff up to handle the volume or stop lying and tell customers that it will be 4-5 hours just so they have enough time to do their jobs. Maybe even no time line but a call or text when they are ready. read more

Terrible staff!!! I came in there for a new prescription around 10pm, a few weeks ago I had a previous scrip that my dr called in (as they do every month), where I had told them I didn't need it because I had quite a bit left over from previous months of accumulation. Apparently they didn't put it back and they tried to give it to me AGAIN. The girl that came to the drive thru sent it over to me and walked off before I could verify it. I opened the bag to verify it was the new one and sure enough, it wasn't my new prescription, but rather the old one that I had told them to put back weeks ago! It's my fault for not asking her what script it was before I sent my debit card over, but she also should've verified it with me first. To make things worse, they didn't even fill the other one I came in for, even after having it a couple of hours. I tried calling the girl back, knocking on the glass pushing the call button that rang indefinitely, but couldn't get anyone to come to the window. Finally after almost 10 minutes had rolled by, a pharmacy tech came to help me. I told him that the girl gave me the wrong prescription and left before I could say anything. He said "sorry but we can't refund your money once you pay for it". I instantly went into an internal rage as I hadn't even drove off yet, but rather I had been trying to get some service!!! I demanded to speak with a manager, so while I'm explaining to the manager what happened, I over heard the tech tell the manager that I had "left the store and came back"... apparently so that he would appear to be the one who was right in the eyes of the manager? I don't know, I'm not sure why he said the lie that he did. So I said "GO GET THE GIRL WHO RANG ME UP!" So they get her and she tells them, oh yeah I just sold it to him." So I finally got my money back. They also could've looked at the receipt to see the time stamped on it and know I just paid for it, however I was waiting almost 10 minutes to get someone to approach the window, so I suppose it could've looked like I had left briefly. This Walgreen's at Hayden and McDowell has provided more than above average service for myself and my wife for 12 years. We have never had an issue with this Walgreen's. Pharmacy is always busy. This is the worst service I have ever received from a Walgreens! I have never been so mistreated. I was told that my son's prescription would be done in "awhile" by a girl in a navy sweater and white stripes she was very rude saying that we should have received a text messages that was never sent to us? When we told her that we didn't have the text message she said, "well then I guess you won't know when it's done!" I returned almost 5 hours later and a different lady was fired up and told me they did not have my son's prescription Ed filled. She told me had not started it yet, when I asked how long it would take because I had been waiting for 5 hours the same girl with dark hair and a navy blue sweater with white stripes (no name tag) told me yelled over the counter in front of the customer she was helping And she said "you know what maybe you should become a pharamcist tech!" She kept talking back to me and being very disrespectful she was the same lady at the window who greeted us when we had Originally had gone to pick up the prescription and it was not done. I get being busy, but you should NEVER fight with a customer and rudely tell them they should be a pharmacist tech. She did this in front of 7 other people waiting in line. This is my favorite Walgreens to shop at. They're always really nice and help me find whatever it is I'm looking for. The other day I had gone in to get some makeup. I finish paying and walk out to my car and my car won't start. It was completely dead. A man who worked there asked if I needed help and he would call AAA for me. I decided to go inside to wait and did a little more shopping. Not only did he take all my things to check up but he offered again if I needed anything I just had to ask. He was very genuine.
