I love the Sephora at Scottsdale Quarter! It is much bigger than my go-to Sephora in Chicago, so I was able to check out a lot of different brands that I don't usually see. I had so much exploring different makeup, skincare, and perfume brands. This location had a nice selection of smaller brands as well as high end luxury options. The staff did a great job offering to help without hovering, which can sometimes happen at Sephora. The store was clean and the tester items weren't completely empty. This location and the staff are great! I highly recommend. read more

I ordered online for store pickup and didn't realize Easter Sunday they are closed. I called and ask if they could extend the pick up deadline and the store associate was so unhelpful. She said after 5 days they restock the products. I would have thought they would be more understanding considering the store is closed. I have had this issue before at other stores and they had no issue extending the deadline. Overall poor costumer care. read more

I'm not a big makeup gal (more because I don't know how to apply it instead of being against it) but I've found some great products here. I love their birthday freebies; this year I got a mini Laneige set. I previously bought a Laneige lip mask and liked it so I'm glad to try different products from this brand. Recently I came in and was greeted at the door, which was nice and I was helped by Jack, who was knowledgeable and friendly. I was looking for a good lipstick since the ones I own are old and don't last long. Jack gave me a few options and sampled the colors on my hand, and I chose an Anastasia liquid lipstick and picked up a glycolic acid toner as well. Shelby at the register was great and rung me up in a timely fashion. This store is usually pretty busy but their staff is always available to help you out, or they'll leave you alone if you're just browsing and don't need anything. My mom and I had our makeup done here before our family pictures. To say I was disappointed would be an extreme understatement. I usually have my makeup done at MAC, but I was told that they no longer offer that service, so we went to Sephora. When we arrived, we were escorted to the middle of the store where our artist was waiting for us. Our initial impression was not a positive one given that the individual doing our makeup had none of her own on except for what appeared to be yesterday's lipstick which was caked into the cracks of her dry lips. Given that she was being paid to apply makeup, I expected her appearance to reflect her abilities but they did not. We showed her pictures of the makeup style we wanted, understanding our result wouldn't look exactly like the photo, but it wasn't even close. The techniques she used were outdated and nothing I would expect of a professional. Her hands smelled like they hadn't been washed, so we held our breath whenever her hands were resting on our face to apply our makeup, and she had horrible breath. Ultimately, our makeup looked worse than if I had done it myself. The shape of my eyebrows didn't match, the blush was hardly noticeable, and my eyeliner, which she almost forgot to apply, was laughable. I was so upset that I just wanted to leave the store, and afterward, my mom and I went home to fix the makeup I had just spent $144 on. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone, and the only reason I gave this store two stars was because the shopping experience isn't a negative one. If you're only going to purchase merchandise, it's not bad. It's usually overcrowded, but that's not the fault of the store. read more

I got a 30-minute makeover today and the service was impeccable. :) 10/10! Miranda J was my artist and she used a high tech phone to determine my foundation shade. She got me a foundation that matched my skin tone, got tips on how to take care of my acne, and got tips on how to put on eyebrow pomade and mascara. Miranda was inclusive in her teachings on how to put on makeup because I have a disability that affects my hands so she taught me how to put on makeup the best way for me. I had an incredible experience with Rikki, the beauty advisor that helped me with questions I had about foundations and colour matching today. Rikki was so caring and attentive and was able to quickly help me find my colour match (they even called it correctly before using the very handy shade finder scanner, which showed their wicked knowledge on the matter). They listened to my concerns about breakouts and sensitive skin and recommended Haus Labs foundations, even providing me with two samples of the product (one cooler and one more neutral) to try at home. I really enjoyed chatting with Rikki, as they were incredibly lighthearted, kind and understanding to my personal needs. After my experience I'd absolutely recommend this business to anyone looking for a welcoming and knowledgable team for your makeup needs. Big props to Rikki! read more

Walked in today to take a look at Men's colognes to add to my collection and I found their selection to be rather sparse and uninspired. On top of that, just like Apple down the street, no one offers to help so I walked out. I guess business must be too good to assume someone walking into Sephora in 105 outside heat doesn't need help ! This shopping center is going down the drain. The only friendly shops are Vans, and True Food Kitchen and Peter Millar. I will never step foot into a Sephora ever again! read more

First, we love Sephora. What we don't love is the ridiculously rude floor associates at this location. I recently visited with 3 13-year old girls who were making their first makeup purchases. A milestone outing ruined for a reason that isn't even clear. They were never unattended, they were respectful of the store, and they had a lot of money to spend. We were followed around, questioned constantly, and received looks and comments that were simply unprofessional and unacceptable. We'll drive to another location gladly to avoid this bad bunch. read more

If you don't ask for help the second walking through the door good luck getting any help at all , after that point everyone is to busy to help. I just went in looking for a new foundation , the "makeup artist" showed me one brand and all she did was read the obvious label on the shelf (something i already did and can do in my own) and just stared at me, she seemed insecure and didnt act like she knew the product at all ..i think being the "professional" you should grab one , recommend it and try it on the client. I was better off walking around myself and figuring it out alone. I seem to have an unpleasant experience every time at this location. I never leave yelp reviews, which is how you know I didn't have a good experience. My friend and I went to this Sephora location two nights in a row. On the first night we both bought a Bobbi Brown bronzer, which is on the more expensive side (totally worth it though.) We ended up picking up the wrong shade. On the first night we went, the staff was friendly and very helpful. I would have given this Sephora a 5 star review until the following night when we went back to exchange our bronzers for the correct shade. I showed Navannah, one of the employees at this location, my bronzer and asked her questions about it. She took my bronzer from me and my friends bronzer from her "not realizing they were ours." She helped us grab the correct shade, but then we were confused because she put back the ones we brought in to return. After we went up to the counter we told the guy helping us how Navannah took our bronzers from us, but when she came up denied ever taking them. After a few minutes they finally figured it out and as we were walking out Navannah and this older lady (who looked like she may be in charge) said they would just check the cameras. They said this loud enough for us to hear. First off they were very unprofessional and they didn't believe us. I will never go back to this location and am disappointed because Sephora is an expensive place to shop. read more

She was patient (especially with a makeup minimalist) and listened to what i was looking for and helped me with all the ins and outs. She completely re-vamped my eyebrows! Great service at this Sephora! In the past, I've felt that staff at Sephora haven't been very helpful to me. However, here, everyone was very welcoming and they were quick to help guide me and provide me with a shade match and sample of the tinted foundation I was interested in. There was no pressure to make any purchase either which I appreciated. I was so pleased with the service and efficiency of my visit that I brought my sister to this store while she was visiting to pick up an item she'd been meaning to purchase. The only place where you can spend 300.00 and come out with a bag the size of a small book. I love it though, I usually like to go in without a lot of make up on and try out new colors. I always love the Sephora brand itself, but they carry all the brands you could possibly love or want. I really love benefit, urban decay and of course this is usually where i get my COCO Chanel. I was here a few days ago and was looking for a specific product. They did not have it in store so I asked if we could order it online through them since I was told by an employee I would get free shipping if I ordered with them. The employee at the register was very unfriendly and seemed miserable. I had a 20% off coupon and she scanned it and it did not work. She ended up calling the manager over and the manager said I couldn't use the coupon since the account online was not the same name as the coupon... which is not true. They were trying to place my order through a random phone number and I would have never even received the order. Finally she switched it to my correct account and "scanned" the coupon and took my card without telling me the total. With the coupon, I should have only paid around $20, however as soon as I left the store, I realized I had been charged $32. She never included the coupon or free shipping. I went back in to tell them to cancel my order and the manager said "We can't help you, you have to figure it out yourself". I will not be returning to this store ever again.... read more
