Charles was the first place I ever went 9 years ago for my first 'glow up'. He was in a different location then. Since then I have gone to only one other place due to the fact that someone gave me a gift certificate to a dermatologist as a gift. I will NOT trust anyone else to come near my face for laser or a needle. Charles is honest about what should and should not be done. I go to Tara for Morpheus 8 , as I am not a young person anymore and I need help! I watched a TON of things on GloMed Spa's IG before doing this treatment last year, as well as You Tube videos. I do not want a mini face lift, yet.. I have done a ton to take care of my skin despite growing up on a beach which meant all the things one does when living in California on a beach! I was a runner; played beach volleyball and I even used babyoil and BURNED my skin once thinking that getting a 'base tan' , (I know!! GASP!!!!!), was the way to a good glow!!!!!! DO not do that! I learned through a family friend and physician after seeing her for the burn I suffered to NEVER DO THAT again! My point: I use sunscreen daily; drink tons of water and don't embide too frequently on things that are killers to your veins or capillaries, no smoking and a couple drinks of red wine a week, in other words. My point in this review isn't to lecture anyone but to let you know that in the eventual, we all may need a little help in terms of keeping our skin 'smooth' when we reach a certain age. I don't want a lot of help as I do want to age in a graceful manner but I do want some help in maintaining collagen. This office is amazing in giving education on what one needs and they have never guided me wrong. In terms of the Morpheus 8, I started last year with my treatments and was guided on what to expect. I was advised I would need 3 treatments and 1 or 2 following. I was also told to come in 45 minutes prior to be numb. After one of these treatments and a day -3 days of redness my skin started to glow. After the second treatment about 9 weeks later, my neck was tighter and my face had an ever more prominent glow. I didn't go in for the 3rd last year because I was involved with a major project out of town so I coupled it with a little pop of Botox in my frown line and a lip flip because for me, I don't want a inflated lip look. I came back this year and have done 2 with Tara. I read a review on here from someone who didn't do her homework.. clearly has no clue that if you are on other medications such as Ibuprofen or don't allow time for the numbing cream to take effect, you will feel the 'zap' of the laser and well, maybe you just aren't meant for the treatment. I for one, wear my AirPods because I am a child when it comes to the Morpheus and find it a bit daunting .. even after the fact I have had as many as I have had! It isn't as though laser/IPL/Morpheus 8 is a relaxing Zen spa treatment that is without a little uncomfortable moment or two. There are parts of the neck and face that have a lot of nerve endings and sting more than others. At times I have come in for a little zap of Botox and it's hurt more than other times due to the fact that I drank wine the night before ! We all have different pain tolerances at different times due to what may be going on in our bodies. That said.. I love Glo Med Spa and trust everyone here from the office staff; Charles; Tara; and Ewelina for facials. Oh and I also love that I can get Alle and Aspire points which add up :-) read more

Unfortunately I paid for 2 Morpheus treatments here. $800 a piece. Tara electrically shocked the side of my face at least 5 times. Electrical shock. The first time she zapped my neck on the left side several times and it too more than 8 weeks to fade. This was the most excruciating experience. I went back and they basically said oh well and you should go somewhere else we can't help you. It isn't our fault it must be your face. I would never go back anyway and I am ashamed I did a second time. Please spare yourself and go anywhere else. There was very little concern for my well being just that I go away. They had no problem keeping all the money though and asking for tips on all services.. Buyer beware. After seeing the comment from the owner. This is the first I have ever heard from him so he has no idea what happened in that room nor does he care. I have never sat so still in my entire life. You sir are a dishonest person. I was injured at your business . You and your technician Tara are to blame. You used the equipment incorrectly and are still trying to blame me here. I saw Tara for Dysport injections after several disappointing experiences with another Scottsdale med spa. The experience and results were AMAZING!! I highly recommend Tara, for at least three reasons. First, Tara is incredibly KNOWLEDGEABLE about the products and services and was PASSIONATE about helping address the areas that I was most concerned about. Being "heard" by your medical provider always makes the experience better and less stressful, and Tara was exceptional with explanations and product knowledge. Second, Tara is so skilled with the injections that it was almost a "no pain" experience. I was shocked at how well she injected my face to minimize pain and eliminate almost all discomfort. It actually made me upset that I hadn't changed providers years earlier. I've now learned that injections don't have to be painful if you have the right person and Tara is that person! If anyone is even slightly unhappy with their provider, I would give Tara a try. Last, Tara is an incredibly genuine and amazing person. Charles has a keen eye unmatched by plastic surgeons; better yet, he's always been honest and forthright, and has never been afraid to tell me I didn't really need a treatment I was inquiring about and willing to spend money on. I've been coming to this Medspa for years but there have been some changes that have really turned me to find a new medspa. Their new injector Tara gave me Botox and I ended up with "heavy brow". This is the first time I've ever experienced getting Botox anywhere ever. Secondly, the last two times I came in for filler I was prompted with a tipping section upon payment. Injections are a medical procedure and asking for a tip at the end feels very cheap and unprofessional. Very sad to see these changes in glo medspa. read more

PDO facial threading with Charles Small at GloMed Spa. Here I am again, 5 years later. I am now 76 I had formed more jowls along my chin line and I also developed what I have always called dents in my face along with eye troughs that were getting worse! Ugh!! Honestly I hated mirrors, especially in a store!! Charles fixed me up again with threading, and sundry injections. My eye troughs are gone. He went to town repairing all the concerns I pointed out to him. I am so grateful to him for his expertise and creative eye. I am beyond happy with the results. 5 stars go to Charles for making things right after my Botox injections with Abby for jawline slimming. My original review for Abby's work stands. Like I told Charles, I've noticed that the Botox results haven't lasted as long(2 months or so versus 4 months)for me recently. But I've never not seen any results after injections except this once. Charles suggested me trying Xeomin after I mentioned I plan to try it next time I go to LA and see if that works good on me. He injected not only on my big masseter also along my jawline. Got the Xeomin in October. I'm seeing results. I am happy with Charles' effort to make things right. I'd go to him for jawline slimming again. read more

I've been going to Charles for 5+ years for lip enhancement and I really like the shape and size of them after each session. I've been hesitated to try other places because of the dreaded "duck lip" but everyone always compliments me on my lips and thinks they're real. I am new to the area from San Diego and needed to find a new lip injector. After corona shutdown everywhere, once spas reopened again everyone was booked. Glo med spa was one of The few places that could get me in. I saw Abby and she was amazing. I have tricky lips to work on because my top lip is much smaller than my bottom and has dents underneath on each side. She filled my Lips with one syringe of kysse and then told me to wait two weeks and if I want a little more added to come back. I am always scared of the possibility of a duck look and she was very conservative in her approach and said it's better to do less now and add smaller amounts later which we ended up doing and it worked out perfect.
