This is literally the worst Walgreens I've ever been to in my goddamn life. I got a notification notifying me that my medication was gonna be canceled if I didn't come and pick it up. I've been waiting at this desk for this goddamn medication for at least 2hrs. Now how are you gonna threaten someone that you're gonna throw away their medication if they don't come and pick it up and then make them sit here for 2hrs. read more

the WORST pharmacy EVER!!! they are going to end up killing people!!! a month ago they told me that they had my prescription then they told me they couldn't fill it because they didn't have enough. So I went to another Walgreens to have my prescription fully filled. Needless to say I went three days without my high blood pressure medicine because of their ineptness. This month they lose one of my prescriptions. I've had it with this place, so I have switched to Amazon pharmacy. Imagine being an elderly individual who can't self advocate... this Walgreens would kill them!!!! read more

I'm from Alabama, visiting in Sarasota. It was time for my blood thinner to be filled while out of town. I use the mobile app to order my RX. All I had to do was change pick up location nearest us. The experience is highly rated. I walked up to the Pharmacy pickup and completed my transaction as quickly or more so than in my hometown. 5 stars. May 15, 2024 read more

Have you ever had a pain in your legs that even looking at them hurt more ? If you did and need medication fast ( say 2 hours ) don't have it fill at his pharmacy ! PS. also the staff does not give a rats ass because they got lots a suffering people knocking their doors... read other reviews ! read more

OPEN 24 hours is the main reason I use this pharmacy. I used to use the CVS closest to me, but, the pharmacy is closed at quirky hours, like mid-day and 6pm. When I need a prscription, I need it NOW, so I use Walgreen's at 5800 Bee Ridge Rd., Sarasota, FL Also, they have a LabCorp blood-draw facility which is very convenient. The main phlebotomist there always finds the vein first time and causes no pain. read more

Decent Walgreens. No long lines. Lots of cosmetics and products to choose from. Good assortment of greeting cards and small items you might need around the house. Good assortment of sunscreen and a few beachy items as well. read more

I like this store and staff is friendly most of the time but some people at the pharmacy are plain rude. Some of them treat costumers as if they're doing us a favor. They don't seem to remember that their jobs depend on us, the costumers, and that we could take our prescription elsewhere. read more

I was diagnosed with Bronchitis. My doctor prescribed Azithromycin. When I went to pick it up, the sales person told me it was on hold because I was allergic to Neomycin and they were in the same family. The next day I called and accidently told them Eyrithromycin & they misunderstood and SOMEONE - not the pharmacist put it on my file I was allergic to Eryrithromycin. When it finally got straightened out - A WEEK LATER the DR told me the pharmacy called because I was allergic to Eryrithomycin which I am NOT. When I talked to the pharmacist, he vowed Neomycin was never brought up. So 1. Why doesn't a licensed pharmacist NOT know Azirthromycin is not in the same family as Neomycin. 2. WHO allowed anyone other than the pharmacist to add an allergy to my file without confirming it??? I am now a week without my antibiotic because SOMEONE wasn't listening and over stepped their bounds. Does the FDA not have protocols on this??? And to boot, the pharmacist was trying to tell me it was never put on hold because of my Neomycin allergy. This is unacceptable. read more

Changed from CVS. All was OK for a while however today I went in to the pharmacy because a certain prescription I received had a pill that was twice as big as the ones I have been receiving. The girl at the desk said it was a new vendor. With no personality she pointed to another window for me to move to so a pharmacist could handle me. The pharmacist finally can to me(again with no personality) and told me there was nothing she could do. They changed vendors. Suggested I cut it half if I had trouble taking the horse pill. She then turned and went back to another customer. So much for compassion and customer service. Looking for other options. I am sure they will not miss me however I will tell anyone who asks to not do business there. read more

I would be very careful to see if your discounts are applied with your card. I returned today because an item that was supposed to be 16 99 was charged 19.99. Then two other items were supposed to have a dollar taken off so there was $5 plus tax overcharge. Cashier was slow to understand and I ended up getting $3 on a refund card and a dollar in my hand. No Return of tax and no refund of one of the dollars overcharged. I don't like this place anymore. I stopped using the prescription dept because of the ridiculous amount of time each person took and they just did not seem to know what they were doing except for pharmacist read more

I would of given this 0 stars if I could. Yesterday I went to the Walgreens Pharmacy located at 5800 Bee Ridge Road in Sarasota, FL to pick up a prescription that was called in by my husbands cardiologist. The script was sent to them no less than 3 times with a receipt confirmations for all 3 received on the doctors end. When I went in to pick up the script I was shocked at what I found. The pharmacy line was 9-10 customers long. There were ample employees (I counted at least 7) working in the pharmacy but most of them were fooling around and talking instead of servicing the line of customers. There was only one employee working the vaccine check in line, the drop off line and the actual pick up line. Several customers were waiting for covid vaccines. The gentlemen in front of me was complaining that his doctor had called his prescription in three times and they did not seem to have his either nor did they care. After waiting in line for 25 minutes when I finally reached the counter I noticed the vaccination employee sitting behind the partition with her feet up eating a candy bar while several people were on the other side of that partition waiting for their vaccines. The cashier was very nasty and informed me my husbands prescription was not there. I asked her to check back with the pharmacist to see if it was pending back there but she refused to do so. I came home called the cardiologists office again and they resent it. After several phone calls to the pharmacy later in the afternoon and with no success in getting the script filled I called the cardiologist again and they sent it a third time. Still no sign of the script on Walgreens end. I called the cardiologist today to have it resent to the Publix pharmacy, which it was received and processed in a timely manner, imagine that! I'm not sure if my experience was indicative of all Walgreen Pharmacies but based on their rating of 2.4 It sounds like it is. I have no faith in their ability to service their customers on the front line so that makes me question their ability to fill the prescriptions correctly. I will no longer visit Walgreen stores or pharmacies. I would much rather give my business to a drug store that appreciates and values me as a customer. read more

Where do I begin lol, I've been waiting here for almost two hours. The people behind the counter are really rude. Can you guys believe that when you call they talk crap about you lol once you hang up. I'm sitting in the chair and just talking tons of crap. Lulu or whatever her name is said and I quote. " Rich I feel sorry for you, we've been holding them off for hours." "I'm done I'm going home" it's funny to me how rude this lady is. Some customer called and she said he called 5 times about his medication I forgot what it was called but she's just laughing that the dude is angry. Like come on. If you hate your job that much leave don't treat your customers like crap. Also I'm sure you violated HIPPA!!!!! Just saying sooooo Walgreens I would look into that. They ignore the phone calls, when I told her that someone was calling she's like "oh you mean the phones we can't answer now" All in all this lady should be fired from her job. Discussing personal information about customer. No wonder y'all have a 1 1/2 star. Complete garbage Company. Never shop here! Corporate you need to get this store under control. Pharmacy workers are trash. You need a whole new reboot. Nice job LULU laughing at your customers, saying personal information, and being rude. Nice. read more

If I could give them a zero star I would because that is what they deserve. I'm new to town so it has been my first time dealing with a big chain pharmacy. This has been the worst experience of my life. The pharmacy is a complete mess. You get a text message letting you know your prescription is ready and when you get there after standing in life for a while they either can't find the prescription or they need to talk to the doctor. Etc. Every review that I have read here sounds familiar to my situation. The pharmacy personnel are always lost and they have no idea or have communication within each other. They have no compassion, rude beyond belief and no sense of urgency. I suggest to stay away from this pharmacy. These people do not deserve to have a job especially since they are in customer service. This store sucks!! read more

I wish I could give them 0 stars. I went to fill my prescription on Monday, they were out of stock and told me to come back Friday. I'm back on Friday and they are telling me they still cannot fill it because of "manufacturing issue" but other Walgreens might have but they won't tell me if they do. When I said that they told me to come back today, the pharmacy tech got super rude and said "right, we'll we dont have time to call hundreds of patients". Dont worry, you have 1 less patient to worry about calling read more

Very bad service. They told me my prescription would be ready in 2 hours, it ended up taking like 6. Each time i talked to someone they were so rude. When i came back after about 3-4 hours, crying because of how much pain i was in and needing my medicine, they were still so rude, and told me it would be another hour. I tried to overlook their bad reviews but I should have listened. read more

If I could give this pharmacy 0 stars I would. They mess up Something with my prescription every month! This may be the MOST disorganized, unprofessional pharmacy I have ever visited. Day 1: "It will take us 90 minutes to fill your prescription but we have it in stock. We'll honor your discount card since you don't have insurance. Sure you can come tomorrow. We're open 24 hours so it will be ready first thing in the morning." Day 2 8:30 a.m: "There was a problem with your insurance. Oh, you don't have insurance? You're paying cash and using a discount card? No problem. We have everything here and we'll have it ready in about an hour." Day 2 4:15 p.m: "I'm sorry, we couldn't read what the doctor wrote and we're waiting for their office to get back to us. You say you've been here twice before and the pharmacist said it was in stock and it would be ready? Hmmm. Oh well, you'll have to come back tomorrow. When? Not really sure. You'd like to speak to a Manager? He won't be back for two days. You'd like your prescription back? I'm sorry you feel that way but here you go." AVOID THIS PHARMACY, STORE, AND CHAIN AT ALL COSTS! THEY ARE A NIGHTMARE!!! read more

I don't understand what takes so long with the pharmacy line. I tried to pick up my prescriptions the night before because I received texts saying they were ready but they weren't. So I had to come back in the morning and waited 45 mins which made me late for work. There wasn't even a line inside. They need to figure out how to speed this up or maybe hire more staff for the pharmacy department. read more

Yes, Walgreens has a terrible pharmacy system. However, the store itself is always clean, they have any items you may need if you're willing to pay a few bucks more, and they don't say "Welcome to Walgreens" here that much. The staff CAN be polite, but not always. read more

If I could give this pharmacy no stars, I would! They are just awful!!! They call and say prescription is ready, you go there and it's not, they claim to call dr office if there's a question or problem, and they don't., finally when you've had enough and go into the store to pick up your prescription to move it to another store to be filled (because they can't electronically send it) THEY CANT FIND IT!!! The level of incompetence is unbelievable. And this is not a one time thing, it happens EVERY MONTH! I guess shame on us for waiting this long to switch stores. Of course we haven't done that yet because we're still waiting for them to find it! Do yourself a favor STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE!!!! read more

They have good sales going on right now, especially the 4 for $10 12 pack sale. My family goes there specifically for that because that is extremely cheap for pop. But as I learned today you have to be careful because all of the 12 packs are not part of the deal. Only some. And the cashier did not tell me that one of the packs I bought was not part of the deal. Even when I asked him about it he said no it went on there. So I thought maybe it was just that much more because I bought a few other things. But when I got home I checked the receipt and sure enough, I did not get the deal because the 12 pack of Fanta I got was not part of the deal. So I ended up paying $15 extra. read more

Always a ridiculous pharmacy line, probably because there is always an issue with patient's prescriptions because the staff is simply misinformed. There is one pharmacy cashier in particular who is completely uninformed and turning customers away saying it's too soon to refill prescriptions. The first time I waited in line at this Walgreens for 20 mins before she told me I had to wait 31 days to fill my perscription and to come back in 3 days. I knew that wasn't right so I called the pharmacy and the pharmacist said that I could absolutely fill my perscription within 28 days and she was going to let the girl know the proper policies. Fast forward three months later and I'm trying to refill my perscription again on the 28th day. The same girl denies my refill, I ask her to check with the pharmacist. She does and comes back and says actually it's 29 days and come back tomorrow. I left again and called the pharmacist and he did confirm i can refill today, 28 days from my past refill. This girl needs to be informed the proper policies of the pharmacy instead of turning people away. read more

I have been using this pharmacy for over 20 yrs. and it has continuously become worse. I keep trying to use them as they are the most convenient for me but even my Dr.'s office own staff refuses to use them. Rarely does a month go by that there is not a problem with my prescriptions of some sort. They have even cancelled one of my prescriptions in error and even though it was their fault, they would not refill it without a refill from Dr. which delayed it by several days. They gave me the wrong pills one time. This was for my anxiety medication. The bottle was correct, but fortunately I recognized that the pills themself didn't look right. I called and they told me it was a different manufacturer but if I was not convinced to bring them in for them to check. Good thing I did because they were wrong and by the look on the pharmacist face, they were REALLY wrong, possibly dangerously wrong. Obviously, they would not tell me. Another problem occurring today where the Pharmacy chose to override my Dr. has definitely put me on to searching for a trustworthy pharmacy. read more
