There was only one cashier when I was checking out and he was training a new employee which is understandable. Unfortunately doing this slows down the speed at the register, and when the line back up hard it's time to stop training for a moment and time to start checking people out already. An employee at the photo counter noticed this and opened his register which helped. Previously I've had similar difficulties at the pharmacy with the line backing up almost to the front of the store. They really need more employees here. I do get the irony of pointing out they need more employees while bitching about them training one btw. So no need to clown me. They just need to do that training when the store isn't packed. read more

This Walgreens is absolutely terrible. Today I went there twice to pick up my prescriptions. The first time I waited at the pharmacy for nearly 20 minutes. Apparently the pharmacist was late and they weren't observing their posted times until he/she got out of bed. I returned later that day and the person that was working the window (who clearly saw me waiting for a couple of minutes...I had rung the bell) put up a sign saying that the pharmacist wasn't there and went on her lunch break. Not a single word but just a blatant Fuck You! I realize that people need breaks but this was totally unnecessary. I've spent nearly an hour driving around in 100 degree weather and I still don't have my medications. This is not my first bad experience with this location. Ever changing pharmacy hours is very upsetting. Their website and app will say 9 or 10 pm but it's really 6 or 7 pm. When you call to check you'll get routed to a call center who reads the same information as the app or website. When transferred to the store they will pick up and put you on hold numerous times, longest was 2 hours, shortest was 45 minutes. read more

By far - the worse pharmacy for a thousand miles. Two people for Covid booster and flu shot - ONE HOUR and THIRTY MINUTES!!! First off, the girl at the pharmacy counter behaved as if this was the very first day she had been put in front of a computer. So, that took a good 45 minutes - to check two people in who presented the completed form when they first spoke to her. --- Only went downhill from there. Finally one person got the shots - don't forget, this was a group booking for two people - unknown to anyone in the world with a working brain why it took another 35 minutes for the second person to get their shots??? Incompetence brought to new levels. Stay away, not worth going to this drug store. Walgreens has a reputation for being able to screw up almost anything - and yes, they live up to that reputation. -- On a side note, the South African pharmacists himself was really nice - too bad he's stuck with a group of Neanderthal assistants. read more

The pharmacy is terrible! The last time I went I was stuck in the drive thru for 70 minutes. Then the pharmacy tech couldn't scan my prescriptions so it took 10 minutes to serve me. Twice they have given me incomplete prescriptions because the computer told them to (17 pills instead of 60???). The automated recording said my prescription would be ready at 11 AM the next day, but they said it would be an additional two days because they had to get it from ABQ. I grumbled and they somehow found it on their shelves. They close early when they are short-staffed. read more

I went in for a flu shot at a he pharmacy. They had a tough time with my insurance and worked hard to find a solution so I could get my shot. Everyone I dealt with was great. While I waited I was able to observe how well they worked together and how well they treated their customers. They were busy and handling it well. read more

Terrible terrible pharmacy service. We spent two days trying to hunt down an RX for my 82 year old father who had Covid. Walgreens insisted they never revived it. Turns out the physician called it in on a provider voicemail that should be checked every hour. The only explanation was that the VM was never checked or not recorded. It took the physician calling the pharmacist directly to get any action. This snafu is typical when dealing with this location and the Walgreens call center. read more

WORST PHARMACY EVER!!! Sick as a dog last night, went to urgent care, then stood in line for one and a half hours only to walk away with only 2 of my 3 prescriptions! And didn't notice because my med notes hadn't been updated into my online chart before I went to pharmacy. And because my new employee insurance doesn't kick in until the first of the next month, I paid cash, which completely threw the clerk who had to get it authorized by the pharmacist before they'd even start filling the prescription. I had a lot of time to watch the pharmacy staff and they do an awful lot of walking back and forth searching for things, even in the same med bins. I've had lots of problems with the photo dept for years but the store has become a dump. Now I've been on the phone for half an hour trying to get someone to pick up and talk to me about my prescription. Management should be fired and store closed down until an effective business plan is in place. (Would give zero stars if I could!) read more

The longest lines in the history of pharmacies. Very very slow moving too. Takes two or three trips of long lines just to pick up a prescription that is all ready to go. This is no exaggeration. If you go there I wish you luck. Bring lunch and a phone for entertainment. Don't forget to take deep breaths with a good mask on. I have been filling medication here for years, and the one day I loose my id, coincidentally when I am out, and only have a digital copy of my ID, this jerk off of a pharmacist tells me to go bite it and hit the dust. Meaning even through I have the last month's prescription paper and receipt that this pharmacist filled, he continued being a snob. Then they would dilly dally between putting me on hold and then letting the line ring and then on hold and then someone picked up and HUNG UP on me! I called back and spoke to the tech who said "hold on, let me get you Tina." And yet here I am waiting still....15 minutes later to call in a prescription for my patient. Getting real tired of this Walgreens, had my money thrown at me thru drive thru by a short native woman moving real slow with a line to timba-tu. Maybe if they would prioritize on calling everyone at once to pick up their prescriptions. Also my charactor has been defamed by Walgreens staff. When i call today just to give my new insurance card information. They immediately ran my prescription for buprenorphine wich is not to be filled until the 25th of January. My doctor called in early for 27th. I get a notification from the pharmacist that my buprenorphine was delayed today...I never asked for it cause I still have some till the 25th. Walgreens on cerrilos is never honest with me either, they love to give me a time for my medicine and I go at that time and they only have 1 out of 3 that I ordered and confirmed. There is always an excuse on how employees treat me at this particular store cause they aren't trained to be nonjudgmental.. Message for Walgreens staff.. I have sustained full remission of Alvohol and drugs. You dont know me personally, and what my physcian and I is confidential and feel violated on how ive been treated on how you think i am. Online said to call the pharmacy.. I was on hold 1.5 hrs only to be hung up on when it was lunch time. I called and go the store manager Andres who told me they are understaffed and that he would ahve the pharmacy manger call me when they returned from lunch. that never happened. I called back and held for 1 hr and again was disconnected. I called back to take to the store manager and was disconnected, then called back and noone answered. My husband called from his phone and someone answered right away but put him on hold and thensomeone picked up and just sat the phone down we could hear them talking in the store. After several more calls with no answer we called corporate. Everyone here should be fired. It does not matter if a customer is in person or on the phone they are still in line and deserve to be in the loop of priority. Inexcuseable..... Also they should not lie to the customers and tell them they were not hung up on when you can hear them hang it up... There is not an auto disconnect when it happens at different call intervals. read more

Today I waited on hold for 2.5 hours to speak with a pharmacist at Wallgreens at 3298 Cerrillos Rd Santa Fe, and still did not get to speak with anyone; I just got to listen to a recorded message every 20 seconds that told me I would be helped soon. It is surreal. Earlier in the week I had waited 1.5 hours on hold to speak with a pharmacist but no one ever picked up the phone then either. I also went to the store and the line of humans was the length of the store. I turned around and left. Trying to do business with Wallgreens has cost me about 4.5 hours of my time this week and I still have not been able to speak with a pharmacist to resolve the issue with my dad's prescription. I tried to have another pharmacy fill the prescription but the insurance company told me that Walgreens had already charged them for the medicine even though I had not picked it up, and that they would have to reverse their actions before I could get the prescription somewhere else. Hmm. If you want to waste your time too ask you doctor to send your prescriptions to Walgreens. read more

I had the same experience as Hanh L. had 3 years ago. The pharmacy line would ring and I'd be put on hold. Every few minutes someone would pick up and, without saying a word, put me back on hold again. This went on for the 2 days I tried to call during my lunchtime and again after work. Walgreen's corporate advised that I call "the store" section of this Walgreens and ask the clerk to walk over and check on the pharmacy to see what was going on. So, I did. The clerk I spoke to did not want to walk over to check on the pharmacy but assured me that this time they would pick up as she transferred my call back to the pharmacy! The line rang and rang and rang and then hung up. I saw no point in calling the clerk back to inform her that they did, in fact, not pickup this time. I have been using this Walgreens for about 7 years and it has provided poor service more often than not. As a resident of Santa Fe, I am quite familiar with poor customer service and have always tried to let it roll off my back. This incident just finally did me in. I've switched to a new pharmacy with hopes that they will answer the phone. It seems to me that the buck stops with the Cerrillos pharmacy manager who oversees this mess. You are a professional. Increase your staffing, hire people that will do the job and provide adequate customer service training. read more

The pharmacy is about the slowest to serve customers imaginable. There is always a long line inside, and the drive thru line is immense. The pharmacists are aloof and very short with customers, and make you feel as if you are a nuisance. They also don't seem to know what prescriptions they have filled for you have filled in the past. There are many prescriptions that they do not even stock. I am going to start going to CVS because Walgreens does not properly staff the Walgreens Cerrillos location, and the existing staff is not customer-oriented. read more
