At 11:24 am yesterday, Walgreens texted to say they had received my sibling's prescription. By 7:00 they had not yet texted that it was ready for pickup and they (as usual) had not answered the phone after my waiting over an hour on hold. I drove 7 miles to wait for the prescription because he was leaving on a trip the next day. I explained this to the clerk and was told the earliest I could pick it up was Wednesday the 29th because it was being filled by their distribution center. At 11:28 on Tuesday the 4/28, I received a text saying the prescription was ready for pickup AFTER he had left on the trip. Too bad there is a rating of minus 5 to choose from. read more

inept, always late, insults me for getting Medicare as if I were a beggar instead of retired. prescriptions get lost, misplaced, and there is always a fight over coverage. Angela is a truly rude person, although the others are nice. I have been shopping there for 8 years and only lost my temper twice in that time, both times because I could not get a prescription filled which I will literally die without. Angela threatened to stop serving me today probably as I complained to management over her rudeness to me. I have no idea who she thinks she is. After 8 years of overall good relations--I know several associates well as they are like friends and can testify as to my relations with them - I am going to change pharmacies due to the constant and repeated errors and the pharmacist's high-handed attitudes. God awful. Maybe if the greedy national management would hire enough staff and pay more than miniumum wage things would be different. Too bad for us customers! read more

This is one of the worst pharmacies in Santa Fe. I've gone there three times and every time has been a horrible experience you think I would've learned from the first time, but I gave him the benefit of the doubt. After the third time, I became very upset because they said they did not have the medication. They have to order it after I became upset they come back and tell me oh I'm sorry we do have it in stock we'll never go back. Also, the wait time is unbelievable. Do not waste your time going here. Is this the worst Walgreens in the USA or are they all this bad now? There are always people loitering outside the doors asking for money. The manager obviously doesn't feel it's necessary to tell them to leave. I've personally witnessed an employee walk outside and vape with the loiterers. The line to the pharmacy is always 10-15 + people long and the prescriptions are often not ready in time and delayed by a few days. Pharmacy staff may be overworked, but the lines are a nightmare and need to be addressed. If you have a chance to go to CVS, do it! read more

Just witnessed a cashier ask a customer if they are able to read while telling him to go the correct way in line even while the customer apologized and clearly knew he made a mistake. Such a crazy moment from someone getting paid at an establishment. I made sure to wish her (Shirly) a happy holidays. The day before Christmas Eve and this type of behavior is a thing at Walgreens while homeless are all outside loitering. Thank goodness I live outside of that area, Merry Christmas! read more

Thank you Pharmacy. Seems like lines everywhere for prescriptions. Fortunately I called and not put on hold for 30 minutes, like at Zia Walgreens. I was told I could pick up my prescription in an hour. Line short wait of 5 customers, instead of at Zia Walgreens which I counted 20 and wait of an hour. All ways be prepared with book to read in line and have patience. They are really trying to do there best. read more

Went to pick up my prescription today and waited in line twenty minutes. Once I reach the front with approximately 15 others behind me, they announced that they were closing for lunch and rolled down the gate. They did not announce or provide any notice that if you were in line at 1:30 that you were out of luck. Unbelievably rude. Hopefully the CVS in DeVargas mall where I have now sent all my prescriptions will be more customer friendly. read more

If I could give ZERO stars for the pharmacy at this Walgreens ,I would. The absolute most unprofessional and outright rude and entitled pharmacy staff anywhere in Santa Fe. I never write reviews. Never but today is the exception. As usual, I stood in line for 20 minutes while one, young woman....very young, manned the counter. Thats not unusual for this store. And yet again, the young woman is another of the charming , horrible, snotty, unprofessional young girls that work there. She was openly hostile to every customer ahead of me and the. projected her attitude at me when I asked to pick up my prescription. You know the type. You are BOTHERING her to have her do her job with courtesy and ...do her job. She told me my prescription was not filled - which is again not usual for this pharmacy. They consistently screw up prescriptions. This young woman took offense when I told her I received a text stating my prescription was ready. She told me " prove it". Seriously? When I told her I don't have to prove it, she told me I should transfer my account to another pharmacy. The. the very young pharmacist got involved when I asked to speak to a manager as I was not going to let it pass again by being treated like this by the staff. The pharmacist then was rude. Told me "she knows" the employee and she doesn't treat people badly. I told her that clearly she's not paying any attention to what is going on at the counter. This woman then told me I should transfer my account to another pharmacy. Mind you, I am remaining civil and clam throughout all of this abuse. I told the pharmacist I would take this behavi up with senior management. Enough is enough. My prescription was supposed to be ready at 3 p, today. They never filled it....clearly on purpose. This is malpractice by the pharmacy. They can't blow off filling my prescription simply because they don't like that I challenge their abusive behavior. read more

The staff at this location is incredibly rude. I arrived at the store at approximately 1:15 to pick up a prescription. After waiting in line for 15 minutes, they abruptly shut the gate for the pharmacy and announced it was closed for lunch. We had no advance notice of the closure. When I asked politely if they would serve the people already in line, the very rude employee told me "no" and told me to "have fun. When it comes to pharmacy services, the St. Francis Road Walgreen's is without doubt the most customer-friendly pharmacy in town. While I typically use a mail-delivery pharmacy to fill my routine prescriptions, whenever I need to fill a short-term order, these folks are consistently friendly, helpful, and professional. I have often received helpful tips on how to work with my insurance company to select between brand-name and generic drugs, how to work with my physician to find substitute drugs when a brand-name in out of stock, and how to be conveniently notified when it is time to refill a prescription. Even though these folks have a large clientele, they always have two clerks working on the counter and they do their best to give each customer their full attention and assistance. I've never had a bad experience here, and I appreciate the fact their service consistently exceeds my expectations! read more

My husband and I made flu shot appointments on-line. We filled out the required paperwork and showed up 15 minutes before the shot time, as directed. A woman at the Pharmacy saw my paperwork and asked if I was there for a shot. Yes, I said, indicating that my appointment was in 15 minutes. "Get in line" she snarled. I looked and saw 4 or 5 people standing in line. I asked politely if I was going to be seen at appointment time. "We take appointments between walk-ins" she informed me, repeating, "Get in line." "Shouldn't it be the other way around - walk-ins between appointments?" I asked. She snarled again at me, "I'm not going to argue with you. Get in line and I'll deal with you later." She would not commit to taking us at our appointment times, and it was obvious that they were not going to attend to all of the people in line already before our appointments. So we left, and we'll get our shots elsewhere. I will never buy anything from this store again. I'll transfer my prescriptions across the street to Pharmaca. read more

This is the worst place to go for prescriptions or COVID vaccines. I made an appointment over a week in advance to get my latest booster, only to get there early and be told to get in line. There were about 10 people in line, some of whom had appointments and some who were just getting prescriptions. After 10 minutes the line had not moved! The employees work hard, but the place is so poorly run it just didn't make sense to wait. What's the use of getting an appointment? I would recommend anywhere over this Walgreen's, they are slow, under-staffed, and don't seem to give a s***. read more

Went in today for a pre-appointed flu shot. Showed up 10 mins. early like the website suggested to fill out paperwork, which actually took just two minutes. I was told in person the day before that my insurance would definitely cover it but the cashier asked me for another card, doubting mine would work (it did because I wouldn't take "no" for an answer). Then I had to wait past the appointed time along with two others whose appointments were also delayed. After they were finished, the pharmacist, a young man with rolled up sleeves so he could prominently display his tattoos on both arms, left the room and locked it. I mentioned to him that I too was waiting for a flu shot. He immediately became very defensive, rude, scolding, and condescending to me as if I was making some unreasonable demand. When I politely mentioned my appointment was already late, he became even more defensive, using remarks like "wait your turn" and "I'll get to you when I have the time." I seriously considered leaving but decided to keep my mouth shut and wait out of convenience. He was polite during the actual procedure, but I will not likely use this location again since I can expect this kind of rude and inappropriate customer service. read more

If you need a prescription, do not choose this store. One of the "techs", wouldn't help me solve an issue that was caused by the techs mistake. He argued with me, refused to help me. He tried to bill me outside of my insurance company, when I was on the phone with my insurance, and the insurance was saying that the tech was wrong, the tech still refused to help me and argued with insurance company. Finally the billing resolved, mysteriously the EXACT same prescription that had a 30 day supply already filled....now...two days later, they could only fill for 23 days. Hmmmm...so a week's work of pills just got up and walked out of the bottle? The pharmacist on duty, crossed the line from apathy to laziness. Bad business practices, lack of training, failure of customer service would be the main theme of this Walgreens. read more

Horrific. I have never been to a shadier Walgreens. I was purchasing a 12-pack of water bottles, and two bottles of wine, at the liquor section of the store. As I was perusing the wine selection, I overheard the clerk (let's call him "Long Beard" in tribute to the less-than-appealing length of hair that was hanging from his chin to his chest) at the check out station making disparaging remarks about New York women to two young ladies. The off-color banter was rather loud and obnoxious. As I approached the line to pay, I noticed that Long Beard was not in his right mind. He could barely operate the computer to process a payment for the person on line in front of me. He called for another cashier to assist him as the line of waiting customers was getting long. The second cashier shows up ("Giggles") and operates the computer terminal just fine. I complain to her and state that Long Beard appears to have taken too many hits of the peyote. She seems to think this is humorous and does nothing but giggle. While this is going on, Long Beard moves to another terminal and calls down the next customer by banging his fist on the counter and pointing directly at said customer (like, "Hey, you! Get over here!). He proceeded to knock over a six-pack of liquor bottles the woman was buying and began to stare her down while stating, "What the f___, lady?!" The woman and her husband were highly agitated with this behavior and stated that they drove a long distance, were dying to relax at home with a drink, and be done with Walgreens. At this point, I have had it because we were on the line for about 10 minutes and I wanted my wine and to be done with all of this as well too! I walk over to a cashier outside of the liquor section and demand to see the manager. What emerged from behind the door labeled, "Employees Only," appeared to be a runaway vampire from the True Blood TV series. A slovenly man, with eyes so bloodshot I wondered how he could even see properly, spoke to me in slow-motion as if his vocal chords were on 33 1/3 rpm: Helllllllooooooooo, Miiiiiiiiiiiiiiss. Whaaaaaaat iiiiiiiis thhheeeee proooooobleeeeeem? I did not know whether to crack up hysterically or run. I did the latter and you should too. Run. Run farrr away from this place! And while you're running, be prepared to duck and weave the vagabond crew loitering outside. read more

I've been in line behind eleven people. My doctor in New York called in prescriptions over a week ago and the still haven't filled them all. Additionally, I was just asked if I needed the 50mg or 100mg tablets. They should be able to read the prescription and if not, contact the doctor for clarification. Now, after waiting 1/2 hour, they told me it will be another 15 to 20 minutes before it's ready. This is crazy and definitely NOT customer friendly. There is another prescription that they never even asked the doctor about. The doctor never received their request because the pharmacist forget to send the request. Now I have to wait for them to speak with my doctor. Wait, wait, wait and then wait some more. Outrageous! read more

Literally every time I've waited in line to pick up a prescription here, the people being helped in front of me are told that there is a problem with their order... Some issue with the insurance usually. And then, lo and behold, there is often an issue with my own order, and I have to sit and wait while they figure it out then fill it. I highly doubt that the problem originates from somewhere other than this pharmacy. I have never had so many problems picking up prescriptions from other stores. You guys really need to get it together... read more

Horrible walgreens! I purchased 2 gift cards, and after clarifying that I wanted $25 on one and $50 on another, I noticed that the cashier had put $150 on one of the cards.
