The current pharmacist at Walgreens in Rutland does not know how to process a prescription for insulin through Medicare! Or can't be bothered to learn the proper service codes? I talked to Medicare and confirmed my coverage for insulin through part B. Then headed to Walgreens to pickup another prescription. I asked to pickup my script for insulin woman helping me told me over and over again it wasn't covered by part B! And told me they couldn't fill the prescription. The previous pharmacist filled the prescription for over a year under part B no problems! I had the prescription sent over to the pharmacy at Walmart the pharmacist asked me a couple questions..I explained my current situation saying I was very low on insulin. She knew exactly how to code/bill the prescription thru Medicare! I'm picking up my insulin this afternoon. read more

This is your typical Walgreens but larger. It's a drugstore chain and has the basic essentials; from prescriptions, photo services, health, beauty, and snacks. Parking was spacious and customer service was decent. We were looking for something specific and they had it. The day we went, their online portal was down and we couldn't use our Walgreens card or any electronic coupons. In the end, we got what we needed and it's a standard Walgreens. read more

RUDE ..., if you don't like your job Brian L get a new one- throwing shopping basket in front of customers is uncalled for Period Getting attitude that we were troubling you to check us off You cheerful personality will get you far read more

I would really prefer giving their pharmacy a minus star. Set up a flu shot for 2:30 pm and didn't get the shot until 3:05 pm - why set up appt. After 15 minutes of waiting, I asked how much longer but was told in a very nasty way - we are busy. Unfortunately for me I have a big phobia about needles which of course they don't know. Waiting that long made me so anxious. Not good for my mental health. Besides that they are the slowest ever. Don't worry Walgreens, my prescriptions have been transferred. RUDE!!!! I'll also let Corporate know!!! read more

This place has THE rudest, unhelpful pharmacy. I cannot believe the runaround they put me through, only to close EARLY.

Unfortunately this store is consistently out of stock on key items. BUT at least the employees are apathetic at best. Today I thought perhaps I had been unlucky in the past so I gave them another shot. Bad idea. When I asked an employee very nicely for help finding items I had spent 10 minutes looking for to no avail (that I eventually found on my own were out of stock) I was floored when my query was met with a deadpanned "no." I worked in retail for 3 decades and cannot fathom that response. I'm sure there is a great factory job out there that would be a much better fit for this employee. At least I hope so. If the company is interested in knowing who this employee is I certainly could identify her. Would be my pleasure actually. *Edit* In response to Walgreens customer support. I assume this is a auto response to negative reviews. If you all are genuinely interested in feedback my number is (804) 338-1775. I truly hope I hear from you. read more

This place has canceled my order 3 times instead of consulting about an insurance issue. I have done last minute emergency refill and they canceled it a fourth time. Every time I have to wait nearly 2-3 days at a time for them to fill all my prescriptions but very often they will text me repeatedly to pick up one prescription at a time. Go to Beauchamp O'Rourke family run and actual good and personal people. And most importantly they communicate with you if there is any issues with insurance or otherwise. read more

Sullen, rude pharmacist... Will never do business with her again.

Across from CVS is this drug store. Rutland isn't a big city so that may explain the RiteAid a block away as well. This is a large Walgreens with a pharma drivethru. I found it slightly disorganized on a holiday weekend. Could be the long weekend has kept them too busy to keep it all organized. Easy parking. read more

I walked into my loval Walgreens to grab simply a pack of smokes. While there i was window shopping for cologne and long story short i was greeted by a woman named Sansearai and she was BEYOND helpful not only with all of my questions but also very knowledgeable about 99 percent of products i asked about. If it wasnt for her i woulda been a deer in headlights. She deserves betond credit. If you go there look for her at the beauty counter very very helpful read more

This Walgreens has the worst pharmacy on the planet. I went 7 times (7!) to get one prescription refilled. They said they had faxed my doctor for the refill - they hadn't. Then they were out of the medication and suggested I go to other Walgreens pharmacies to see if they had any (they didn't call). Then it got hung up on my insurance and I was out of my essential medication for days by then. They needed a letter from the doctor to fill this brand. They said they were on it but did nothing. Finally I called the doctor's office and they called the insurance. I went to pick up the prescription since it was all set, and their response was "What prescription?" I had to wait for them to go through the whole process again to get my medication. I will never use this pharmacy again. read more

This is not a slam against a particular employee but of the system Walgreens has put in place to serve their customers. I just spent over 30 minutes picking up a prescription at the drive-thru. There were just 2 cars ahead of me. Once I reached the front of the line I sat for over 10 minutes while the employee was on the phone. Meanwhile cars are piling up behind me. The employee, noting my impatience commented , "we are really busy". Perhaps Walgreens should prioritize serving customers actually at their store over those on the phone? There is zero justification for customers at the drive through to be sitting for 30 minutes or more. read more

I went into Walgreens this afternoon looking for a product. I met Sanseari and she was so very helpful ... if she couldn't find what I was looking for she went right to the pharmacists ... but she did find what I wanted ... she was very friendly and very professional ... you are very lucky to have her working for you !!! Her smile was infectious ... just thought she was worthy of writing a review for !! read more

Unbelievably rude. In the ridiculously long time I spent waiting in line, I witnessed the incompetent, dark-haired asian girl with bad hair dye, dump out a basket of medications searching dramatically for another customer's meds, I listened to her complain about the pharmacist being on lunch break and become flustered with an elderly woman who was trying to explain she was there for a flu shot appointment. I watched her storm off to the car that pulled up at the drive-through in the middle of the elderly woman's sentence and proceed to get huffy with them...She couldn't find their inhaler apparently. Next up, my turn. On my prior 3 visits, I was denied my antibiotics for a cut on my hand! According to the snot behind the counter I can't pick up my antibiotic before consulting with the pharmacist about allergies. I just came from my doctor, we spoke about this. IM NOT ALLERGIC! Seriously, why are people using this place? Hanford pharmacy is cheaper, safer and nicer. read more

If you are looking for a quick and painless pharmacy experience then avoid this place at all costs. Their staff are extremely difficult to deal with. I have never come in here and not ended up calling my doctors office on their behalf. read more
