We go here for things like nail polish, makeup, beauty stuff and snacks. It's moderately priced. If you have a Walgreens card, you can earn points in conjunction with sales or specific items. The one thing I love about this place is the helpfulness of the cashiers. They go out of their way to apply coupons to your purchase. They always have a little coupon book up front. The employees I've come across were always so nice. The young lady who checked us out today was very sweet and helped us with the discount coupons we missed. There's constant sales like buy one, get one half off on various items around the store. You have to use your Walgreens card to get this or punch in your associated phone number at the debit card machine at checkout to get the discounts. The store could use some cleaning because the floors always look dingy. Don't be surprised if you see a random trash can or warning floor is wet sign in an aisle. Even when the floor is obviously bone dry....and the floor still looks like it hasn't seen a broom in years. If you have kids that play Pokémon and come to this location, the Lakemont marker in front is a Poké stop. read more

I took my 87 year old Father In Law to Walgreens today to pick up prescriptions and buy his needles for Diabetes. There is always a line but that's normal. We bought a few other things for my mother in law as well. When leaving my wife asked if I had any cash to tip the curbside kids at HEB. I asked the cashier at Walgreens to change a $10.00 bill. I was shocked when she said "you have to buy something". I said, "I did, I just left the pharmacy". She said "you have to buy something else". PLease Walgreen, be better than that. I'm a good customer and have all of my wife's and my own prescriptions filled at Walgreens also. If that's a store policy you need to change the poilcy. It reminded me of a Seinfeld episode where George had to buy candy and a magazine so the store he was at would give him change for a $20.00. Had I bought nothing I could understand it but I had just made a purchase. You suck Walgreens and the first opportunity I have to never come back will be too soon. read more

Pharmacy people unfriendly/have no compassion. Man in the store walked past me and got to the counter at 7:59, one of the pharmacists comes out of the side door at 8PM saying they are closed. What if that man urgently needed to pickup whatever medicine needed? No compassion/customer service, pharmacists there only to collect a check. read more

Would give a zero if I was able . Rude pharmacy staff puts customer on eternal hold without even saying anything. Worse location ever, but they could care less., Decided to hang up and send my husband to the store instead so my elderly father can get his prescription after being hospitalized for a week. read more

I gave them 2 stars because the front customer service associates are awesome. They always greet me and make me feel welcome. The pharmacy needs a lot of help. I come here because it's close by my house and convenient but every time I get medication for my kids they never have syringe and tells me I can buy them. Also, the pharmacist tech needs retraining. I came and gave her my info to pick up medication. Waited there for a good 10 minutes or so. Everyone that came after me got their prescriptions before me while I'm still waiting and she's talking about her life to another customer. I got up and asked her how much longer and she told me oh yeah the pharmacist said we are out. She should had said that instead of wasting my time waiting and she didn't even offer to call another Walgreens for me. read more

This Walgreens pharmacy is TERRIBLE. They're so unorganized and their waits are never shorter than 20+ minutes. I came to pick up a prescription- once I dropped it off I was quoted 20-30 mins so I came back in 45 mins and waited an additional HOUR in line to pick it up. Once I get to the window they tell me I can come back in 1-2 hours that it's not ready. I said I was quoted 20-30 mins and the guy said okay come back in 30 mins. They're always rude and horrendous wait times. If you have the patience and time feel free to come here. Sam's club is way better & BTW: you don't need a Sam's club membership to use their pharmacy. read more

Fill Rx accurately. Friendly. Drive-through window or enter at front. Call and text when RX is ready. But need to remove the LANDSCAPING in the median exiting onto Lakemont Blvd. Impossible to see southbound traffic & already several accidents. read more

This pharmacy has a lot of issues picking up is like the worst. Right now we have been sitting here for over 10min and no one has moved. The car in front of us has not been serviced.. I switched pharmacy for my regular monthly prescription because of this but had my sons sent here today because it's the closest to our home but this is insane 14min and haven't even made it to the window... who is managing this like where is corporate?? read more

We use this location for a lot of things. We mostly get our prescriptions filled here. But when we are in the store, we like to pick things that are on sale. The people working there are always eager to help us use our coupons, and they always have a genuine warm greeting when they see us. These days it's probably because they recognize us. There are certain pharmacy techs that I look for when I go pick up my meds cause they are always nice and the conversations are sweet. I have yet to experience a bad visit in the year and half that we've been living here. read more

Dropped off an Rx for my daughter and was told to come pick it up in an hour and a half (8:00 PM). Arrived at 8:15, went in the store and waited in line as the pharmacist and tech frantically moved about. After waiting for about 10 minutes, was told that the Rx had not been filled and that I needed to have a seat. When I asked what the estimated waiting time would be she replied in a short tone shared that she couldn't tell me because all of the other people sitting down (3 or 4 customers) would take priority and that they will be filled whenever she gets to it. I shared with her that my daughter was waiting in the car (with my husband) and that I wasn't going to be able to sit down and wait for an undetermined amount of time for an Rx I had dropped off over almost 2 hours ago- and that I would just come back the next day as it was already past her bedtime. I left, frustrated. Today I returned to pick up- this time in the drive through lane. While I waited there were two separate cars in the other lane who were told their Rxs were not ready. One had been called in the day before and the other was supposed to have been ready by their estimate as well. Both customers were clearly frustrated. When I was provided my Rx, it was about 4x higher in cost than I have paid before. When I said-- that seems high, can you check the price-- the lady said to me that they were that price because I don't have insurance. I do have insurance, and I felt it was strange that she had insisted that I didn't rather than asking. Once I provided the card she fixed the price, but my opinion of this pharmacy remains the same: horrible! I will go back to taking my Rx's to Target and would not recommend this location to anyone based on their perpetually understaffed pharmacy and consistent poor timing estimates. If it was simply a matter of taking a long time I may have overlooked this bad experience but the attitudes and customer service of the employees I dealt with were also seriously lacking. read more

So ridiculous. I arrive at 6:55 am unaware the they open at 7. The manager looks at me shakes his head no and fumbles around with his fingers trying to show 7. So I sit back in my car and wait. They don't end up opening their doors till 7:06 which equals my son late to school. All I needed was gel!!! read more

This pharmacy needs more staff for efficiency and better service. We use this pharmacy because it is close to the home and because of the brand. They are always behind and pending what time of day the staff is stressed and not very happy. More help in the pharmaceutical department needed less stress for the staff faster service for the customers especially after discharge from a major surgery read more

This Walgreens on West Park & Mason is the slowest, most inefficient Pharmacy compared to CVS, SAMs, Katy Medical, et al. I usually wait in line at the very least half an hour & once for over 2 hours at the pharmacy drive-thru just to turn in my prescription! With a sick husband just out of surgery at home awaiting antibiotics, this is just unacceptable. Then of course Walgreens' Rx won't be ready for hours! When I try to talk to the pharmacist who is supposedly helping me, she won't hear because her head is instantly turned away talking to someone else. They need to expand their business & hire more pharmacists or bring in some high tech to service a growing clientele. I've switched ALL of our families Rx to Walmart. read more

I like this walgreens, It doesn't let me down. This is where I always send my photos using the walgreens app and the cashiers are usually friendly. They have a good variety of specialty hair products for black women and I get some pretty good deals using the membership/points system. It's cheaper than the nearby CVS. read more

The cashier up front can be rude sometimes. Just fake a smile even if you don't want to. Anyways, this location is conveniently located and doesn't seem to get as busy as the other stores. It is also very well maintained. read more

I'm giving this place 3 stars since the store staff is kind and helpful. I visit this place more often than the CVS which is down the street from me. Also the Walgreens has 2 Redbox machines for you to rent movies. It's a nice location and a clean store. As for the pharmacy I can't really give them good rating. I went to pick up a prescription and a young Middle eastern pharm tech greeted me. He wasn't professional and was rather making me feel uncomfortable. He started joking why I was using this RX which I thought was completely inappropriate. The Asian pharmacist seemed nice and helpful but the pharm staff seems too relaxed and unprofessional. While waiting for my prescription I could see them smacking their gums throwing papers across the pharmacy and messing around. read more

This Walgreens is like any other. Convenient for a quick stop in. However, if you need to get a prescription filled/refilled do not go to this one. I have been getting (trying to get) the same prescription every month for 6 years and it seems like every other time I go for a refill, they tell me they don't have it and that I have to take it to a different Walgreens to refill it. I'll ask them what other walgreens has it and they act like I asked them to borrow their car or something. I hate going here for prescriptions, but the rest of the store is what you would expect. read more
