The manager explained several of their unique items like being able to select a scent for the cotton dryer balls and then bringing them back to re-scent for $2. Also that they could custom make most products with specific sents they already have for some of the regulars on the spot. Others just need an advance notice to be done. Was excited to find a plethra of scents I liked in the bar soap that I could ask for later in either the foam soap that I was picking up and could custom add it in for the laundry detergent. A unique feature mentioned was that they are able to make it double strength if you wanted a very strong smell. A really cool feature was that if you find a local scent to said store, they can send the details to other Buff City locations for a small batch to be made there. Prices were good for everything being naturally made in store and we caught a 6 for $30 special which saved us $18.

My mom has used Merle Norman her whole life. I was started on Merle Norman, and learned skin care techniques, that I still use today. This store has a huge collection of wigs, they are nice wigs, on one side of the store. Towards the back of the store, there's a full day spa. Infact, I intend to have them wax my eyebrows in the coming weeks, just to try something different. They sell a few hair products, and a few hair accessories. They have their own, very limited selection of skin care, basic, to me. Sometimes boring. I'm not beyond trying their eye make up remover. They appeal to a different crowd, and are never mass advertised. They do have their own mineral makeup, and full lines of make up in all colors, for all skin types. They don't have 72 different colors of eye shadow on display, and it's not eye catching, as other, uh, more tempting brands are. The staff at this store keeps record of what you purchase in the computer, so you'll know what you need the next time around. I'm sure this is exciting for those who use their products often.
