My mom has used Merle Norman her whole life. I was started on Merle Norman, and learned skin care techniques, that I still use today. This store has a huge collection of wigs, they are nice wigs, on one side of the store. Towards the back of the store, there's a full day spa. Infact, I intend to have them wax my eyebrows in the coming weeks, just to try something different. They sell a few hair products, and a few hair accessories. They have their own, very limited selection of skin care, basic, to me. Sometimes boring. I'm not beyond trying their eye make up remover. They appeal to a different crowd, and are never mass advertised. They do have their own mineral makeup, and full lines of make up in all colors, for all skin types. They don't have 72 different colors of eye shadow on display, and it's not eye catching, as other, uh, more tempting brands are. The staff at this store keeps record of what you purchase in the computer, so you'll know what you need the next time around. I'm sure this is exciting for those who use their products often. I don't purchase their make-up, but 4 stars cause the store is right up my alley, and I know it's a good product.

I was very nervous and since I had never worn a wig before, I had no idea about the process. I was promptly greeted when I entered the store and the ladies there were so friendly and understanding. They really listened to my concerns and what style I was interested in. They spent time with me in helping me pick something out. I decided on the one I wanted and they had to order the color. I paid for the wig and they said they would call when it came in. Less than a week later they called and told me it was in. The particular style I chose has bangs and Rita told me to take the wig and wear it for about a week, then come back and she would trim the bangs for me. She likes for a client to wear the wig for a wig to determine where you are going to wear the wig and therefore when the bangs are cut it won't end up being too short. She was very helpful on how to care for the wig. She really put me at ease and it was an enjoyable experience. I would highly recommend this store.

Unfortunately, she left dye stained on my scalp, ears, and the side of my face. I spent about $150 on my hair and went to this salon in order to achieve the color I wanted. I expected to be met with professionalism but instead, it looks like I used Splat dye to get my color. Like I said, she was very sweet and did a great job on my hair, but I'm a bit frustrated with the unprofessional stains I have left on my head.

I ignored it at first but when I kept pulling glue out 3 days later and nearly unable to use my eye I called and went to the eye doctor. When I called the shift manager did not seem to care, her response was "oh goodness" The lady that did my service heard about it and followed up with me and suggested I speak to the actually manager instead. She was very kind and understanding and ask what I wanted done. I told her I wanted my money back and my dr bill paid for ($80) She gave me my money back for the service but told me that her district office had to handle the doctor bill. That was Friday (6/24) and I haven't heard anything other than "you're on my list to call" I'm very disappointed with all of this. My family was very panicked that permanent damage could have been done and beauty brands did not take it seriously at all. I really tried to be calm and understanding but I just want it to be done with and I'm getting ignored.
