Pharmacy is total disaster. No automated call that script is ready, tried to call and was on hold for one hour and forty minutes (YES, I timed it) before I was hung up on. Call back, get to somebody not in pharmacy named Connor, who says "you'll have better luck if I transfer you back from here" and before I can stop him, I'm back in hold hell but at least this time it only took six minutes for them to HANG UP ON ME A SECOND TIME. So I call back, get Connor again, he tells me they're understaffed and overwhelmed and I explain I'm a patient man but having almost two hours invested in getting hung up on twice made me lose my sense of humor, Connor tells me he'll walk back after he transfers me to get some answers. 1st visit: for taking a passport picture for my kid. Everything was perfect, however, they asked to come in 2 hours for pickup and it was not ready immediately. Not far from home so decided to go back and return to collect it. 2nd visit: On collection, I took and directly went the home with the thumb drive that had the digital copy we wanted. On checking the digital copy, we noticed that they transferred the non-edited on to the thumb drive. Hence, the hard copy and digital copy were not matching. 3rd visit: Went to check if they can somehow copy the edited picture but they, unfortunately, couldn't as the so-called system doesn't allow it. However, the representative was very nice and he really tried to fix the issue. Since he couldn't he refunded the complete amount even though giving us both hard and soft copies. I went to Walgreens trying to buy a margarita mix and the employee working refused to sell it to me even though I am 21 because I had a friend with me who was also 21 and didn't have her ID on her. I have COPD, And recently contracted a serious lung disease. Between the two, I am very ill and in very much pain. Because I am too sick to drive my doctor suggested I have the meds he prescribed delivered. I began calling Walgreens pharmacy at 11 am. The phone would ring, be picked up, and immediately put on hold. After 30 minutes on hold I hung up and tried again with same results. This went on until 1pm, their lunch time. At 2pm I called again with same results--at least 4 times. I decided to call the store manager and each time was told they would check into it. Having heard doing back I called Walgreens Corporate office and spoke with Karen. She was very nice but she transferred me to a man who took my info and transferred me to another man, while telling me this would me taken care of. The last man I spoke with took my credit card number for delivery. This all started on Monday. My doctor wanted me to start the meds right away as I have some medical tests on my lungs Wednesday. Now its Tuesday and still no meds. I am very ill. Too ill yo drive. I need another pharmacy. Walgreens is fine if the meds needed are routine.........but this is not routine and is life threatening. This pharmacy is HORRIBLE... the worst pharmacy I have ever dealt with in the history of pharmacies. It is so unfortunate that our closest Walgreens seems to struggle in all areas regarding staffing and customer service. This time, I utilized the printing/photo department to print off a SINGLE page document, since our home printer was not working. I uploaded the document and waited for confirmation that the printing was complete and ready for pick up. Two days later, stopped in to pick up pictures that were ready and while the employee could see my request in the queue, he was unable to print it off for me at that time and stated he needed to clear the queue and the printer didn't have paper. What???? I said ok and I hoped it would be ready soon. I got the confirmation email and text the next morning at around 9, went in at about 2 p.m., and the employee stated he couldn't find it, saw it on the computer, and again, couldn't print it off for me and could I come back a little later? TERRIBLE service. Horrible organization in the photo department and so frustrating. Walked out again without the document. I need a new printer so I don't have to count on Walgreen's ever again for any document printing. read more

Have to agree with the recent reviews. Pharmacy is so slow. I'm in the line right now and someone just left as they cannot wait any more.. The most ridiculous experience I have have here is that while you are in the line, cars appear through the window and they take precedence. The one time came from the doctor with contagious flu I tried to use the drive up window and the woman told me I HAVE to come inside to get the RX. She said she knew I needed the RX urgently but I had to come in. Some of the issues I know seem to span from people's insurances not paying for Medicine so they have a long conversation about it thinking the pharmacy rep or clerk can do anything about it. Back again Aug 2015. We had 3 prescriptions called in here to the pharmacy voice mail that us never checked. My Dr called in a prescription after surgery. Not there 1 hour later. Had to get the oncall Dr to call in another prescription at 445pm. Called at 6pm no prescriptions for me. Called the on call service Dr (2nd one) they called it in. Came down 20 min later. Nothing. Asked them to check the voicemail. They have 3 prescriptions for me.... oh but there are other people waiting ahead of me so it will be 20 mins. This place is dead. I had a prescription filled by this Walgreens only to make it all the way home and see that I didn't get the full quantity. Promptly called the store to only be put on hold for 40mins before talking with someone. Mistakes happen, I get it. Person on the phone said come back to the store to clear up the matter. Once in the store I had to sit and wait for another hour for them to call my insurance to verify the matter. What does my insurance have to do with anything with a mistake by the pharmacy?! If I am prescribed 3 insulin pens and only get 1 of them, shouldn't there just be 2 extra pens sitting there like I am in the waiting area?! I came with my receipt and hoped that a simple mistake could be handled simply and rectified easily. Someone from Walgreens should audit this location. read more

I had a "Receive $11 in rewards if you spend $50. I spent over $80. Not only did my almonds get charged full price when they are advertised as 3 for $9. I did not get the $11 rewards added to my account. I am so pissed right now as the entire reason I went there was to get the $11 back and deals. Mirroring the same sentiment about the pharmacy as many of the other reviews. I've had a couple really kind people help me but the majority of them just can't be bothered with niceties. Additionally, people that don't work in a pharmacy don't understand the ins and outs of the pharmacy world. Stop treating people like they're stupid because they don't understand YOUR job. It's YOUR job to guide them and provide assistance. Not sure if they're aware that this is, by definition, a customer service position, so if that's not something that they're interested in, they should probably seek other employment where they don't have to work with the general public. I get that it's difficult to work with people in masses, but this role revolves around and relies on just that. I have a hard time even understanding how these people would have been hired in the first place. Considering how widespread an issue this seems to be, this appears to not only be a hiring failure but a repeated management failure, which, for all we know, could be one in the same. This review for the pharmacy. I think there are a few stand-out employees there but as a whole, they are terrible. I have several prescriptions that have co-pay assistance. After repeated issues with having them run the script through my insurance first and the co-pay assistance second, they finally told me that I would have to call every single time I filled one of those scripts and have them manually run it through the co-pay assistance. This was unacceptable so I moved all of my regular scripts to an independent pharmacy (Valley of the Sun Pharmacy) and my experience there has been stellar. I've continued to fill one-off scripts there for convenience sake but service has still been terrible. On Monday, I picked up two scripts. They had run one through my insurance but not the other. (WHY????). Yesterday, I picked up two scripts and they had run NEITHER of them through my insurance. This morning, I had to pick up something else and I stood there visibly and passive aggressively jangling my keys while employees bustled behind the counter, helped drive through customers and did everything but look to see if a customer was waiting. I've also had several interactions with a pharm tech who was grossly inappropriate. *reading the name of the medication* "What's this for?" INAPPROPRIATE. "Wow, you have really good insurance. What does that cost per month?" INAPPROPRIATE. "This medication is for _____. Is that what you take it for? Does that help you?" INAPPROPRIATE. After the most recent experiences, I think I might drive the half mile down the road to Albertson's. Ridiculous. read more

This pharmacy is the worst in terms of getting insurance approved, getting scripts correct and their service is atrocious. They have not gotten any of my meds nor my husbands meds correct yet and we just got with them since July 2018. Every two weeks is an issue. They screw up the doctors instructions continuously if they get them at all. They place you on hold and never get back with. Even our doctor had to get on them about this personally. At this point, it looks like all Walgreens in the Phoenix area have very low reviews so we are stuck. Terrible just terrible!!! read more

Starting with a "beauty consultant" who is disheveled and wearing a filthy uniform, an uninterested pharmacist, a cashier who does not know how to cash and complains about how long it'll take her to cash out the lady buying clearance toys (for which the store cannot get the prices correct!) and team leader who cannot do his job of helping the useless cashier and then telling me I had to take part of my purchases to the beauty counter as it was a beauty product AND also a can of coffee.
