it would be nice if they followed better protocols during a pandemic. I took several photos of staff wearing their masks below their noses. Additionally, I qualified for the third booster for people with conditions that would warrant the third shot. According to what I read I just needed to self report that I qualified HOWEVER, I was made to disclose my medical condition where they went to the pharmacist then to see if they were going to give me the shot. This was a gross violation of my privacy rights. They don't seem to be well versed on the protocols for administering the third shot. That said, the staff can be wonderful as well. It is just that some are true gems and others not so much. I felt like I was being treated like someone trying to pull a scam until they made me spill my guts and realized I did in fact qualify. My PCP sent over a new prescription on 8/25. On the morning of 8/26, I called to inquire about it, since it still wasn't ready. I was on hold for a long time, so I called back, got their Call Center, who routed the call to the Store Manager. After waiting on hold some more, I finally got the Store Manager. I expressed to her my frustration and said that I had to speak with the pharmacist and couldn't wait on hold anymore, since I had to leave for work. The Store Manager said in a very snarky tone, "Okay, bye," and hung up on me. In so doing, she denied me my legal right to speak with my pharmacist, and that constitutes refusal of care. That is completely unacceptable. I wasn't rude to her. I didn't use profanity, nor did I insult anyone. read more

I would give a zero if I could but I hate being lied to first starters! I dropped off a script for eye drops at 4pm today. They said it would be 30 minutes and I had my granddaughter so I said I'd come back. I showed up at 6:45pm, and they claimed it would still take 10 minutes as they had a call off. Ok. So it will be ready 5 minutes vegore the next break??? Oh probably not, ok I will be back. Go back at 8pm, and she had the nerve to tell me that they just got the script!!! Like wth!!! No you had it since 4pm. It's eyedrops not a Russian layer cake!! It will still take 40 minutes too. I think someone is getting a bonus for these employees. I am pi$$ed! read more

My family has used the Walgreens pharmacy in Peru for several years. With two young children, we end up needing prescriptions filled every couple months. Many times, our experience has been perfectly fine, and we have met pharmacy staff who were genuinely helpful. But over the past year, we have consistently noticed longer wait times, sometimes even days for routine medications. On multiple occasions, prescriptions marked as "ready in a few hours" weren't filled until the next day. These delays are frustrating, but we understand that pharmacies can be busy and short‑staffed. However, today was my breaking point, and it will be the last time we use Walgreens for our prescriptions. Our one‑year‑old daughter has been sick all week and was diagnosed with an ear infection. The urgent care facility sent her antibiotic prescription to Walgreens. Shortly after, we received an electronic notice saying the medication was out of stock. When we called to request a transfer, we were told the antibiotic was actually in stock and would be ready in an hour. Near the end of that hour, we received another update pushing the pickup time out three days. When we called again, they then confirmed it was, in fact, out of stock. We asked that the prescription be transferred to a nearby pharmacy that had the medication. Walgreens told us their Ottawa location had it in stock and transferred it there. I called the Ottawa store several times with no answer. When I drove there, I found the pharmacy closed--at 6:30 p.m. on a Saturday. I then went to CVS in Peru, where they confirmed they had the antibiotic available but needed Walgreens to release the prescription. When I returned to Walgreens, the pharmacy was closed again without any explanation. I approached an employee, who wouldn't make eye contact and simply said the staff was on break. I waited more than 20 minutes. When the pharmacy employees returned, they seemed visibly irritated and offered no apology or acknowledgment of the situation when I explained what had happened. They did ultimately transfer the prescription, and we genuinely appreciate that. CVS, on the other hand, helped us immediately. I had to go in for the restroom at 11:58 PM and I was enlightened with the absurd information of the new protocol closing at midnight. I was extremely unhappy as I had to pee very bad mind you it was 1158 two minutes remaining until their "" closing time considering they advertise themselves as 24 hour pharmacy. This store is constantly closed overnight although they still advertise they are open 24 hours. I went there, there was a sign saying they would open at 7am. They did not open, I waited at the door, some woman came up to the door saying her cashier was late and she couldn't let me in the store. I expressed my concerns and annoyances with the face this isn't the first time this has happened to me. This ignorant woman rolled her eyes at me and said 'well I will get in trouble but I GUESS I will let you in'. I snapped so quick, I cussed her out, not my finest moment. I have no words to describe the absolute s**t show that is this pharmacy. It's scary that these people have control of peoples daily medications. I went here to fill my dogs prescription for his seizure medicine. We were down to one pill for the night because the vet took a couple days to get back to me for a script. I dropped it off and the girl told me they only had 24, and that she could do a partial, and when that was 90% gone I could transfer it to a different Walgreens to refill the rest. Perfect. She told me it would be about 30. So I drive around killing time to go back, since I don't live anywhere near Peru... just to be told no. They don't have the medicine. I was pretty upset because I just wasted time for absolutely nothing. They proceeded to say they had the wrong mg and could call the Walgreens in Ottawa to see if they had it and give me my script back. She also called the vet to see if they could give the 97 instead of 100. Didn't bother to mention it was double the price for the 97, and had I known, I would have asked for my script back and left. Not to mention, not ONCE during the time I was killing time, did a single person bother to try to call me to let me know there was an issue. I spent another 30 min waiting at this Walgreens for them to figure out what they were doing. Not like they were that busy. A few cars came and went. I saw one person inside at the counter. I overall wasted almost an hour and a half, to pay twice the price of the medicine they said they had, with shitty customer service with shitty attitudes. I called after to see if the rest of my refills left were going to be 100, and she said (with an attitude of course because how dare a customer ask questions about the price or be upset at their blatant lack of care for their mistake) I have to have a different Walgreens call my vet to change it back because they apparently changed them ALL to 97 because "that's what I wanted". I told her that if I had known the price was double price would have asked for my script back and went elsewhere and told her that that pharmacy is a nightmare. Horrible. Like I said. Scary that they handle medications people NEED. I'll be calling corporate tomorrow about their employees attitude about their own mistake. read more

My insurance stopped covering CVS, sowm we had to come here. The lines take twice asb long. The workers arent as friendly. My husband just went to pick up meds that show ready in the app (I also called today and talked to a pharmacist about something and confirmed they are ready) and the person working the drive up told them there is nothing there for me. i went here to get Covid 19 shot, when I got to pharmacy inside, the lady saw me over at the window but continues to type into her computer for about 10mins. She didn't even greet me or anything so I waited and told her about my appointment and said sit and wait till she calls my name to fill out forms. An hour later... she still didn't call me so I went over the window and asked. She didn't even say anything so I went to see if the pharmacist is there. The pharmacist asked the other worker if she registered me. She said she did but if she did, she would've seen that I already answered the questionnaire online. She said sorry but you could tell she doesn't care. So it took an hour and a half just to get a booster. Worst customer service. read more

The one and only time I will ever step foot in this place again. Had two prescriptions for an infant who had a severe infection dropped off the prescriptions we were told it would take 20 to 30 minutes 2 hours later half hours later they finally got one filled and had no idea where the other one was. They had people in the pharmacy checking out milk and dairy products absolutely worst staff terrible attitudes thank God it wasn't more serious with a screaming child in the car it was bad enough waiting for the prescription. One might ask why I drive 15 minutes away to get to a Walgreens photo lab when there is a Walgreens just down the road from me. Well my Walgreens has a crap photo department all the prints come out with to much red saturation, does your Baby have Blond hair not no more bam now she is strawberry red! So I venture down I 80 and order my album & hand out prints in large volume from Walgreens in Peru, where the pictures come out right. read more

I left Walmart pharmacy for this place because it is closer to my home. I put in my prescription per their email notification stating it was time to refill. But my order in and was sent a pickup time and day of Saturday. I went there Saturday, and was told to come back Monday morning. I did that and then was told there not ready yet our technicians just came in and they have not gotten to the totes yet. The lady took my phone number and said that I would get a text when they are ready. This is now Tuesday morning and still waiting for my pills!!! SMH! Fingers crossed that I get that text notification soon. read more

Well i would personally like to thank the management for ruining our Christmas ! My Fiance was told that if she worked on thanksgiving that she would be off on Christmas day, they scheduled her not only christmas day from 8:45am to 5:45pm but Christmas eve from 5:45pm to 11:45pm ! She had plans to join her Mother and the rest of her family at a local restaurant, not now ! Unfortunately my Fiance is non-confrontational and they have taken advantage of that quality on several occasions ! Shame on you ! Karma comes in several shapes and sizes ! Remember, the first rule of management is that you take care of those who take care of you, by going the extra step, which she has done on many occasions !
