Shopped here a few times in September of 2018. The staff was nice to all of us, but the feeling of "dressed-up" poverty that stores like K-Mart used to have is here, probably just like at all Walgreens. I have no qualms about that, coming from a generation that shopped at Western Auto, Grants, GallenKamps, and the like, but my college students from Japan wondered why the atmosphere was depressing. I genuinely don't understand what's going on with the customer service at the pharmacy section of Walgreens. Every interaction I've had over the past few months has been consistently unpleasant. The staff come across as rude, and their tone makes it feel like customers are a burden. Even when calling from home, you're still met with the same negative attitude over the phone, which is frustrating and unnecessary. I've worked in customer service for years, so I understand it can be stressful, but there's still a basic level of respect that should be maintained. The way customers are spoken to here is honestly shocking. I sincerely hope management or HR at Walgreens sees this and takes it seriously. There needs to be a conversation with the pharmacy staff about how to properly communicate with customers. People come here for help and deserve to be treated with respect. At this point, I WILL BE driving an extra six miles just to avoid this location at all costs. read more

If I could give a negative 5 star rating I would. I've gotten better customer service at the DMV! Took 3 trips & 1.25 hours to pick up a partial prescription. Now we have to go back to get to get the rest. And the other prescription may or may not be ready today, it may be tomorrow, they don't know! Wow! Now this is sad, I never thought about giving this Walgreens Pharmacy a review until today. I have been getting my prescription filled here since moving to the area back in October of 2024. I was so happy to have found a Walgreens near me, but now I'm considering giving a different Pharmacy a chance. When I go to a pharmacy drive thru I wait patiently no matter what because I choose to go thru a drive thru, just to let you know I have waited here before up to 40 minutes with just three cars ahead before. Now here goes what brought me to review this place. I drove up 5:54 pm and there was two cars ahead which didn't take long, when I pulled up there was ZERO cars behind me. I informed the young lady taking care of the drive thru that I had a couple of coupons for my prescription because the total would have been around $160 and with the coupons I paid $82. She was super nice and polite and took my information down for these coupons, after we were done it took nearly 9 minutes for the whole transaction from beginning to end, the Pharmacist felt the need to come and inform me of how I should do things the next time I want to use coupons: that 1- I should give them a call first or 2- make my way inside because they have had people complain that "they"take too long helping people in the drive thru. Mind you the message had been received and noted I will do that in the future.* I'm so sorry you guys have understaffing issues, me having your nice pharmacy tech key in three coupons that took a total of 4 minutes for her to put them in the system, did not hurt anyone because there was NO CARS behind me. But I stayed calmed and collected and decided to come on here to inform you that you came across very harsh, disrespectful and snobby. I don't see the need for you to have made my night a shity one because of how you handled yourself . I hope you have your take customer service classes because you ma'am need them, just like angry people need anger management you need customer service ones. Ease up, life goes on. I've been in retail 21 years, and a total of 24 years assisting customers. She is so professional, friendly and will always go out of the way. I could go into a lengthy story, but take my word for it. She is the best! As a customer for 4-5 years at this location, I despise coming here. I commonly need to wait an hour+ for a prescription pickup. They're chronically understaffed. The few employees working are understandably grouchy, but allow that frustration out very publicly and in an unprofessional manner. The 2-lane drive through must have a 2-3 year long technical malfunction as the 2nd lane is frequently closed. When it does work you can't hear a word they say through the pin-hole speaker on the equipment. There is nothing pleasant about a trip here. This location used to be so good. They have become horrible. I'm handicapped from Long Covid and have many prescriptions for pain and my heart. These guys continually are out of my pain patch. That I get every 30 days. Making me go days without my 24/7 pain patch relief. Causing withdrawals, etc. They will put things on hold or cancel without calling with an explanation. They also refill based on your pickup date, not your order ready date. Again causing me to go without pain meds for a day or two. Terrible. My husband wants me to change pharmacies. Guess I'll look into it. Out of meds can't get till Thursday. read more

I've been loyal to Walgreens forever, going back to my hometown of Chicago (where they are based). Have always had excellent experiences with them wherever we've lived -- EXCEPT here in Peoria, AZ. I've never encountered a more LAZY and ARROGANT pharmacy staff. I've lost count of the number of times we've had an issue with a prescription, with them claiming an order wasn't received, or a refill denied, without bothering to contact the prescribing physician UNTIL we ask them about the delay. And even then they are very slow to follow up, as if to make sure we know that THEY are in control. Their inventory is also ridiculously low for the most basic of medications, meaning that almost every script does not get filled for a day or two or three. Last year I switched to a CVS that is several miles farther away (because of a temporary insurance situation) -- the contrast was remarkable -- but I grudgingly returned to this Walgreen's just because of the location. But when every interaction I have with them means delays, hassle, frustration and resentment, it is time to move on. In the meantime, I hope this review can prompt a neighbor or two to think twice before defaulting to this pharmacy just because of its location. read more

Pharmacy is completely understaffed! Cigna didn't renew their contract with my previous pharmacy and I had to switch to Walgreens. This week alone I have spent nearly 2.4 hours on hold for the Pharmacy. I'm on hold for 45 minutes as I am writing this review! The App gives me a notice that there is a problem with my prescription and to call. Very slow to fill orders called in by my Dr. I will be looking for an alternative to Walgreens! This is so odd Bc they called me to say I had medications being filled. I came back two days later to them saying they have ZERO record of it. They are super slow and unorganized. So, prescriptions are not filled the day they are promised, they get too busy to answer the pharmacy phone, you wait until closing time waiting for your prescriptions, and they don't get filled. I've had plenty of horrible customer service issues at various Walgreens, but today took the cake. I was second of 2 cars in the drive thru line. It was 1:20pm. The car in front of me was taking a while. Finally, at 1:30, they pulled away. When I pulled up, they pulled the curtain right in my face. No explanation. Apparently, they all go to lunch at 1:30 and they couldn't be bothered by one more customer. I honked my horn but no one responded. I had to go home and return after 2pm. Then I waited in line inside for 15 minutes so I could tell the pharmacist about their rude behavior. "It's been crazy around here" and "maybe they didn't see you" and "maybe we can get you some points", she said. I can now see why nobody at this Walgreens cares about customer service. A bunch of bad info on COVID-19 Testing when u talk to someone on their answering service, you can't just Drive Up, you need to book an appointment on line, that process is fairly simple. Got an appointment at our nearest Walgreens the next day, here is another glitch to the process, you go to the drive up window, the attendant is wearing a mask, which I totally understand, the speaker for us to hear what she is trying to tell us is "Terrible" with a capital T, it's got a horrible echo and very difficult to hear what she is trying to communicate. Once we got everything and understood the process it was very simple and easy but please correct the SPEAKER, the poor attendant was getting frustrated as well. read more

If "no stars" were an option, I'd have selected it. Terrible customer service. Staff always looks angry or put out that they have to provide customer service. Not a welcoming place at all. Long, long waits. Today I waited in line at the drive-thru for 15 minutes (with three other vehicles behind me) only to get to the window to find the shade pulled down; store had closed. I went inside to find a weak, frail man in his 80's pleading with staff who were exiting the employees exit to fill his prescription, telling them that he had been seated and waiting for a while for someone to wait on him. The employees scattered like cockroaches; they couldn't get to the exit fast enough. Disgusting. I'll be heading to CVS from now on. read more

I would give a zero if I could. 9 of the last 10 reviews are 1 stars. In my case my Dr called in a refill. First time I paid $50.87. This time they tell me it's over $ 220, which I knew was far different than last time. I started by simply seeking to understand. I said what did I pay last time? They couldn't tell me - I had to run home to find the " Personal Prescription Information ". When I returned, and gave them the code I gave them the first time AGAIN then they told me it was $ 121.60, and that the refill was for 90 days . Good customer service is being able to tell me what I paid the first time, telling me the refill is for 3 times as many pills, and being able to pull up the code I gave them the first time ( which was in their system ) without me telling them how to do their job. I don't work there, therefore I don't know their policies. Horrible customer service, especially by the second person who very obviously doesn't care about the customers and has a very bad attitude, and is very obviously not happy to be there. Ultimately we got to the proper solution BUT it shouldn't require me having to go home and come back to prove what I was saying, as well as having to deal with rude employees, who act like they are annoyed by my questions. Never was their an effort to get to the answer on their part, instead it was me finding the truth and JAMMING IT DOWN THEIR THROATS. EXCUSE ME for not wanting to pay more than the first time. The women running this pharmacy are incompetent and rude. They can't fill a prescription of insulin and actually call the patient when it's ready until DAYS after and then it's thrown away before you have a chance to get it. 16+ days my animal has been waiting to insulin, and instead of calling the number on file they dug through other records and called a completely different family member whose number was NEVER attached as a contact number to leave a short message that the prescription is ready then it's thrown away the very next morning. Thats invasive and unprofessional. The pharmacist walked out, not during a lunch break but in the middle of a work day and I was given a 'we'll fill it as fast as we can' when I've already waited over two weeks for my cat to get a dose of his needed insulin. As many other customer already posted, worst customer service of a pharmacy there is. Three customers in front of me having the same issue. Pharmacist can't find any prescription, same answer from the head pharmacist, "We never got it, you need to call your doctor, I can't help you right now because very busy". Phone system hangs up on you, (head pharmacist is aware but takes no action) no other way to contact the pharmacy except fax. Who uses a fax in 2022? Major attitude in problem solving. First and last time at this Walgreens. My prescription was called in on 8/12/2022, no one contacted me and told me that is was ready. This Walgreens is the worst I've ever been to. Unfortunately it's the closest to my house. They are incredibly slow, even when there is an obvious line inside or at the drive through. Yesterday (Sunday) I got in the drive through lane at 2:40, and there were 2 additional cars behind me. The cars before me took forever and I reached the window at 3:00. This is literally the worst pharmacy I've ever been to. I spent over 6 hours within 3 days and 6 different visits only to be told in the end my prescription wasn't in stock. They actually had me pull out of the line 3 times in one day and tell me it would be another 20 minutes when they never even had the medication there in the first place. The technicians are beyond rude and completely incompetent. They need serious retraining and to replace the pharmacist altogether. What a sh!+ show. read more

Worst pharmacy EVER!!!! I had antibiotics called in in the morning. Went to pick it up that evening and they repeatedly denied getting it. Finally went and listened to the voice mails and acknowledged that yes in fact they did receive it but refused to fill it because it was too close to 7pm. Go to pick it up the next morning.... 1130 and same exact freaking thing. Denied having the scripts then miraculously find it.... But of course it's not filled. So now I'm sitting waiting for it. They ruined this wall greens. It used to have a nice selection of fun seasonal items that I loved to come by but now the store barely has anything at all really. They don't even sell the newspaper how ridiculous. This place used to be somewhere I would stop in to but now there's very little that I would find I absolutely had to go to Walgreens for. In my opinion this Walgreen's is the worst pharmacy for service and competence. They just gave me 10 pills out of a 180 pill refill, when I called to explain this to the pharmacy they said they would check the camera, whatever that meant, and they would call me back. So I waited for a phone call back, which never happen so I proceeded to call back and track down what happened to the remainder of my medication. I spoke to someone who insisted that the camera(?) showed that they filled my prescription in full, when this definitely was not true as our documentation stated partial, which was never told to us when we pick up the prescription. My husband then proceeded to return to the store with the incomplete prescription, bottle and bag, proving this prescription was not even near close to being filled correctly. The pharmacist quickly called making all kinds of excuses, with many apologies. Truth be told, in the end, she had filled the wrong prescription all together. I'm posting this review to prevent anyone else from going through similar problems, and possibly getting the wrong medication. read more

Terrible. Went in for a booster not only waited a long time to be acknowledged but not the most friendly pharmacy staff. I had an appointment and as you checked me in someone looked at the supply not only did you run out but your "backup supply" had expired in February. Maybe you should have checked that when you first ran out earlier. You wasted my time, gas and now I have to find somewhere else to go. I was not the only one waiting. Get your department together. Pharmacy woman who answered the phone after 20 minutes on hold was very rude. Our normal pharmacist from Safeway had to walk the prescription over to the store, since the employees at the Walgreens pharmacy would not answer him. We were forced to use Walgreens because Safeway was out of the prescription on this day. Everyone, do not use this pharmacy. Go to Safeway, they clearly cares about his customers/patients. Do NOT go here for pharmacy needs. They lied about not receiving a prescription at 5:50pm on 8/13/21 when it was sent in. I called them twice to see if an urgent care medication is ready for my toddler and waited on hold for 30 minutes the first call and 10 minutes the second call just to be HUNG up on. I drove there, waited in line. I got to the window at 6:50 to be told they have nothing for me and nothing was called in. I kept my place in line, called the intent care office and they said yes they do have it and it was sent at 5:50pm. I let the pharmacy tech know who told me "nope" they don't have anything. The urgent care said they would be giving the pharmacy a call. I told the pharmacy tech they would be getting a call from the nurse. The pharmacy tech told me "they close at 7pm so it's too late to fill it anyway and their computers completely shut down at 7 in the pharmacy". The urgent care office said that's absolutely BS and they just don't want to fill it when they received the prescription at 5:50pm. The pharmacy tech told me to go the other Walgreens on 91st and union. Why would she tell me to go to another location if they didn't have the prescription to begin with? Because she's a liar and lazy. My urgent care office was appalled that they flat out lied because my 3yr old needs to take the antibiotics ASAP and disgusted that they couldn't wait even a few minutes to fill a script for an urgent care visit for a 3 year old who is clearly coughing up and crying a storm in my back seat. The staff works hard here. I can see they are busy and have a lot of tasks to finish. The front of the store is nice and clean. The pharmacy is always busy but the staff does a good job at acknowledging when I am in line and helps me promptly. I appreciate that the pharmacist is friendly and has a happy personality. read more

VISTANCIA people must be aware of this. I've been a vistancia resident for over 4 years and have always came too this Walgreens for my prescription and other needs. Never once have I been treated like I was the other day by a so called "manager" (Julia) she was very unprofessional and took the extra measure too laugh when I was speaking with her. Laughing? Really? Manager's should never laugh at a customer. As a customer, I was embarrassed how disrespectful she was. I will not be returning anymore too the Walgreens in Vistancia. The word will be getting out too the Trilogy community. Walgreens may you please do the right thing and re-train or just simply get a new manager. Every refill seems to be delayed. I was told by the pharmacist they are having delivery issues. This isn't Diet Coke, they are messing with medications we all need. Now again it has been a week and they still do not have one of my meds. I have reached out to Walgreens corporate and received a generic response.
