Never had a problem with the Shell station, friendly individuals and it's the only gas I have ever used in my car.

At this location the price of gas is outrageous $4.79 per gallon unlike other stations which are a dollar + less. A visit to Lake Pleasant and stopping to use the restroom at Shell's on Lake Pleasant revealed the absurd amount charged for gas. Granted I know it's a new build I visit the lake a lot so I watched it go up. So is the pricing related to the number of boats and rv's at the lake or what? read more

We like to fill up our motorhome with Diesel at this location because we can do both sides at once plus the def. Easy access for longer vehicles as well. Store has a nice selection of things you might have forgotten and is very clean. read more

The gas prices at this location are at least a dollar higher per gallon than the nearest gas stations. They are the last gas station when you are heading west towards Lake Pleasant and they take advantage of that fact. Will not ever stop here again. read more

I'm a gas snob when it comes to my car, no cheap crap gas. I've never had any issues with Shell, plus when I was growing up my dad said the station was named for me - childhood memories. This location cost a bit more, but it's under cover so you can avoid the sun on a hot, hot day. I also like the convenience store, they have all the little necessities you might need. This is one of my go to stations. I've never had bad customer service, like some suggest. read more

I paid $6.05 for a gallon of gas and they don't have any paper towel dispensers! I can't believe a brand new gas station selling a premium brand of gas would not offer a their customers such a basic service!!! read more

There aren't many gas stations in this area which explains how they are getting away with such egregious price gouging. They are currently around $.70 per gallon higher than other valley gas stations. The community will not forget this and I will never buy anything here again. read more

Staff is awesome I go here all the time snd it's the little things that keep me coming back I'm on the road driving a big part of my day I'll stop in for gas and fountain drink (usually a refill) and it'll be on the house. They recognize the loyalty and I recognize the appreciation extremely better than the circle k south of this location....disgusting facilities and very rude staff (usually happens when hiring young kids these days) I'd definitely recommend coming here even more read more

Went for propane. The employee working was shorter heavier guy with a scruffy beard, hat on backwards, hoody, baggy shorts, earbuds in, on his cell phone with a horrible attitude. Brand new Shell gas station here in at the corner of Lake Pleasant & Happy Valley that badly needed it. There are only 4 banks at this same intersection and no gas stations till now. This is also the closest gas station to Lake Pleasant which is why the fuel is a good 10 cents above Circle K on 67 ave & Happy. Brand new little store is nice so far, only about 8 pumps but its better than nothing. Wrote the review mostly to put it on Yelp so I can check in. read more

The location is very clean and pretty easy to get in an out of. My one gripe with this station is that they post a price on the street which is a cash or shell credit card price. So when you start pumping your fuel, you then notice that you may be paying $0.10/gallon more than what is on the sign. Then you look at the sign again and see in very small letters cash or shell credit card. For someone with a diesel vehicle that is a big price difference especially when there are places not far away, where you can get cheaper fuel. read more

The price they post on the street (which is the same as their competitors) is only for cash or shell cards. If you pay with debit or credit it is 10 cents more. Avoid being ripped off and save your money and use the circle k down the street. read more

I was so happy to see another station in the neighborhood. I went in to fill up as I usually do at any station unaware that I was paying TEN CENTS MORE PER GALLON (than Circle K) because I wasn't paying cash or using a Shell credit card. Yes, there are signs on the pump but, really, who would think to look for such a requirement? I've been buying gas for over 40'years and have never seen such a non-cash penalty. I, and my children, their spouses and our friends will not be getting gas there ever again. How disappointing and dishonest. read more

Love this gas station! The employees are always so friendly and the store is always very clean. I agree with everyone about the price difference for cash/credit but every Shell station I've been to has this. Being a business owner myself I understand. Businesses have to pay a percentage of sales to VISA or MasterCard for their service. Could you imagine if they didn't take credit cards at all? I drive a new BMW and would rather pay $0.10 more a gallon for quality gas then to use cheap Circle K or QT gas. read more

Best gas station I've ever been to gas to badly priced in my opinion, and the staff is friendly and kind, and the overnight guy seems to do a fairly good job he's really friendly and interactive, and the place looks pretty clean especially during the early mornings when I go in for some energy drinks it's one of the cleanest gas stations I've been to and it's much better than circle k considering that circle k's restrooms always smell terrible, I recommend this gas station to everyone in the area. read more

Other than the staff being rude, not knowing what they're doing or what they sell or not, and following me for no reason like I'm about to pocket something if they didn't (though I'm lax about dress and shaving, I sure don't look like a darn thiefI guess I should have waited til they SAW I got out of my newer model Porsche) Like many others here (and around town, their name is tarnished), my complaint comes from the 10 cent difference in what is posted/paid. When we would drive in the past, most of us would look at the price sign just out of curiosity. Unless there was an extreme difference in price, it really didn't sway our decision on where to stop. A convenient location at the time we realized gas was needed pretty much dictated 99.9% where we'd stop. The store is being somewhat irresponsible with its advertising but I can't come down too hard on them since they do have signs...if you look in nooks and crannies nobody ever pays attention to while pumping...honestly they could put little notes saying, "By pumping gas you pledge your immortal soul to Shell," and nobody would really know. Where this store is really lacking, however, is in dignity, honesty, and integrity. Fine. I didn't see the sign. They charged the price I was meant to pay and charged it legally. But the store has several options, only one has this outcome. Advertise the price for both the same way/size. Taken into account that surveys show gas bought with card EXPONENTIALLY MORE (ridiculously more even) than cash, advertise the price 90% of people are going to pay. This way the store keeps a positive theme going where people pay the price they're expecting and those with a Shell card or cash get a discount, so everyone is happy. Instead of having several people leaving happy after a discount, they have most people leave ripped off. Why any business person would choose this is beyond me. But there must be a reason to conduct business the way they do and with this incredible choice they make to advertise a price that you're most likely not getting and doing the absolute minimum to do it legally, the only possible reason they are doing this is to get away with charging more than other gas stations, at the same time tricking their unvalued customers into thinking they've been helped out, at the same time deceiving them, and at the same time picking their pockets of a nominal bit of money one by one which adds up to nothing short of a money grubbing scheme. This practice is disrespectful, deceitful, immoral, pathetic, and desperate and in this age where the dollar amount advertised outside a station is the factor making or breaking a stop and gas up, I've been sure to get the 15 or 20 cars of people I know after 21 years on Lake Pleasant to not only not use this Shell, but to not use any Shell at all until they whip this branch/franchise into shape. How dare they when people are dying for pennies! Have fun with your extra dimes Shell misers. One day when a QT opens up by you where customers are greeted, treated wonderfully, listened to, and treated with respect and not a wallet on wheels, you will wish you had built up happy customers and insured a lifelong career instead of making a quick buck for a few years. read more
