I was really hoping that I wasn't going to have to do this but I do feel like my hand has been forced at this point. I have had nothing but problems, specifically with the pharmacy at this location. I've dealt with incredibly rude staff, quality of "customer service" has been going down for years but now it is little to no customer service at ALL. Even today I have wasted so much time waiting on the phone over and over while trying to stay polite only to be hung up on. I can't even seem to speak to a manger about the consistent issues that I've been having. I really HOPE someone responds to this as I am now looking to switch to an online option such as Amazon or Mark Cuban Cost Plus Drugs. Ordered 5 documents to be printed and to be picked up BY 10:20. I come into the store and ask the lady at the photo printing center that I'm here for a pickup at 10:20. She then proceeded to say she still needs to print them. Mind you I ordered these at 8:30 pm. It's been almost 2 hours since I've placed this order. In my opinion, 2 hours to print 5 papers in more than enough time. I then waited around 45 minutes for the lady to finish printing 4/5 papers. She then comes up and tells me one of the documents are corrupted and cannot be printed. I said that's fine I'll just take these 4 since it's getting pretty late. She then proceeded to say "are you sure, you can place another order". I believe her and I place another order for one of the documents. 20 minutes go by and I ask her what's going on. She then tells me that she accidentally printed out another order instead of mine first. That order took a total of 15 minutes to print. I came into the store at 10:15 and left at 11:05. Absolutely ridiculous never coming back here. read more

Got my COVID shot here in October 2023. I always get my flu shots at my doctor's office and got all my prior COVID shots and boosters at Cook County Public Health, but they aren't doing COVID shots anymore, so I had to make an appointment at a Walgreens. I get a lot of prescriptions filled, and over the years I've seen lots of crabby people waiting forever for shots, which is why I always got my shots elsewhere. So I was expecting a horrible experience. But that's not what I got at all. Making the appointment was super easy with the app , which I use frequently, since again, a lot of prescriptions.... And because of a lot going on in my personal life, I had to reschedule the appointment twice, which was also easy to do in the app. However due to tragic distractions, I showed up for my appointment three days late. When I realized my mistake, I was able to make another appointment for later that afternoon, and was literally in and out of there within 5 minutes. And they were so kind about my missed appointment. I really appreciate the kindness, compassion, and professionalism, and will come back here for all my yearly immunizations from now on. read more

I went to pick up my medication today to find out that it is on back order. Would have been nice to find that out prior. I asked the woman at the pharmacy window if there were any risks with me abruptly stopping the medication and she yells thru the window as she is walking away. I have no idea call your doctor. First of all, it's late Saturday afternoon and you are a Pharmacy! You could have said that she would check. Also, give me the common courtesy of talking to me face to face. I will be transferring my prescriptions elsewhere. Learn some customer service. read more

Stay away from the Walgreens on NW Highway in Palatine. I ordered photos there, they cancelled part of the order, I ordered online, they canceled the wrong part of the order. The manager called me and then didn't honor a commitment she made on the phone. Terrible customer service all around. I ordered online after the cancelletions and the quality is really poor. Not the first problem I've had with them but very aggravating. Done with them. read more

If I could, I would rate this pharmacy location as a 0. There were patients, myself included, who had to wait well over their appointment time to get their vaccinations. None of the employees gave us a reason for postponing or even apologized for the delay. They were too busy talking amongst themselves than taking care of their patrons. If you need your vaccinations, do not come to this location! read more

There are three windows at the Pharmacy. Two marked "drop off/pick up." One marked "consultation." And yet customers with a multitude of questions repeatedly get in the "drop of/ pick up". lines to consult with the pharmacists. Meanwhile the line for "drop off/ pick" up grows longer and longer.. The pharmacist should redirect these people to the other window. Not to mention the pharmacist also trying to mange the people there for vaccinations Yesterday a woman spent 30 minutes asking a dozen different questions. She even said at one point " I should probably see my doctor about these items,". Duh! I don't really care that much about the delay as much as I don't appreciate standing in a line with people coughing and sneezing. read more

This Walgreens Pharmacy is the worst! I called 5 days ago to get my prescription filled for my breathing treatments, they said I could pick them up on Monday! Came i tonight for late night beer run and cashier mike was amazing but there was line and he called iC3 A couple times and got ignored no one came up to help with the line but Mike powered through it was upsetting to see this because I used to work for Walgreens many moons ago and never ounce have that happened during my time at Walgreens wishing that the other staff members would have responded to cashier mike when he called it didn't look personal in any way. The people here are very nice. Aisles are always clean, neat and organized. Bigger than the Walgreens I normally go to.

I have avoided writing this review for a while, as I am otherwise rather happy with this location. That said, someone in management at this store needs to take cashier Cody aside and see if it's possible to switch his social-interface setting from "Wacky/In Your Face," to something along the lines of "Muted/Professional." Cody is given to haranguing customers with an inconceivable amount of meaningless gab, all of which he expects responses to. My last visit, Cody actually chided me with, "responses are not optional." What the hell? I have witnessed uncomfortable customers fumble for responses to Cody's endless onslaught of banter, most of which everyone in line is forced to hear multiple times as they wait for their turn to checkout. I'm sure Cody is a nice guy, and I am equally certain some customers find the show amusing. Many, however, are likely put off by the unexpected chatter and the expectation that they respond in kind. I am now driving three miles out of my way to another Walgreens to avoid dealing with Cody. Cody has suggested to me and other customers that he should break into stand-up comedy. I wish him luck. I just wish he wouldn't practice his routine on me. read more

Everyone I know is sick right now. Cats who need chemo. Uncles with appendicitis. Significant others with severe sunburn. No matter the problem, big or small, this Walgreens has helped me more than a few times in a pinch. As with most Walgreens, the items outside their pharmacy are either grossly overpriced or of the cheapest piece of crap quality imaginable, but they do sell Ben & Jerry's pints in multiple flavors and have a tiny beer selection if you can't make your way two blocks up the road to the Jewel. A friend of mine just recently purchased and electric car and I was excited to point her in the direction of this location's electric car chargers but I saw earlier this week that at least one of their chargers has a pretty weathered sign on it that says 'out of order', so it appears that it's been that way for a while and that there are no plans to change that in the near future. The best thing about this Walgreens is the pharmacy. Dealing drugs is what Walgreens does best and I've had as good a time as one can have being the drug mule for a number of my close relatives. Most recently, I was picking up a prescription for my loved one using their insurance card and ID. This person had never had a prescription filled at a Walgreens before but they let me register them myself and when their insurance card was rejected and coming up as my needing to pay for the meds out of pocket, the pharmacy staff ran the card through no less than 8 different times until it magically rang up at a much, much lower price. Nice! The pharmacy def seems to be pretty under-staffed at times, but they still manage to keep a friendly front and do their best to make sure you get the best deal on your meds possible. read more

While their retail goods prices are high, you find good values there. Milk is always around 30% less than at the big supermarket chains. However, the reason why I go to Walgreens is for my medications. The pharmacy staff is always exceptionally courteous, kind and helpful. They make certain you know the correct way to take your medications and advise you of any possible side effects or counter actions with other medications you take. There are less expensive pharmacies out there but in my opinion, you aren't treated as well as you are here. read more

DO NOT GO THERE FOR YOUR MEDICATION. I went in on Saturday for my medication and they told me they only had 55 out of 60. They also told me that if I got the 55, I could not get the other 5. I asked when they would have all of them in and they assured me that Monday after 2pm they would have all the medication. When I went there Monday, not only did they not have all of them, they had less then they did on Saturday. I explained the issue and they told me they would call around. After calling they told me to go to Osco, but their was a catch. My doctor had to reissue the prescription to Osco. Since it was after 5pm my doctor was not in the office I was unable go get it transferred. I asked to speak to the manager. She told me that it was just an inconvenience and it wasn't her fault because she didn't work on Saturday. I had to explain to her that not having my medication was not an inconvenience but a real problem since I was out and needed it. She just told me to take the 43 they had and then figure it out with my doctor. She was condescending, rude and didn't care that this would effect me negatively. I am now short on my medication this month which I would say is more than an inconvenience. Do not shop there and do not use them as your pharmacy. read more

There was one shelf stocking employee that was about 6'tall, messy unkept dark, acting like he was a BIG SHOT, with his shirt our and a wrinkled Walgreens coat., talking to the Cashier while I was being checked out. But, that not my issue. Walgeens must have come up with a new PHARMACIST RECOMMENDED (has to be theirs) WALGREENS AVEVA Nicotine Patch for the best price of all the rest at Walgreens. I would hope the idea was kind to help save those who need the savings, but pretty much all of them only stuck on for about two hours. Paying less money never had to mean you get low quality so they make more money. Walmart has them for 5 dollars less and DO NOT fall off. I am smoking again. CVS is a tad more and regarding the patch not moving, they are Superior. In their defense, it may have been that shipment. I sent in the lot number and will find out for sure. There is a possibility, that Lot may have been not up to their quality level. If it is I will correct this. Until then....Walmart or CVS, both much cheaper than the big brand name one. read more

Pharmacy has awful customer service skills. Never pick up the phone and if they do they put you on hold for 10 minutes and then disconnect you. This happens to me every time i call here. Not a one time experience My doctor complained about the same problem. read more

There are really no negatives when it comes to Walgreens. They have everything I need, all in one place. People are really helpful when you need to find something and this particular Walgreens carries a lot of different drink options when I'm in the mood for something different. Plus, Walgreens now sells wine!!! That is just fantastic. read more

I love Walgreens! I fill my prescriptions here and they refill fast. Just call in and you can usually pick it up 30-40 min later. They have your usual selections of items in store and always seem to be located very convenient to where I am. There prices are MUCH lower than their competitor CVS as I have compared my prices for my prescriptions at both and at Target. read more

There is one cashier at this location who makes me and members of my family very uncomfortable. He thinks that hes funny but reallly hes very condescending and disrespectful. Ive actually gotten into habit of driving to the other Walgreens to avoid any weird social interactions with him. read more

I use this location all the time for photos and prescriptions. Love the photo department, have had issues with the hours of the pharmacy though, that doesn't turn me off considering it's so close to my house. If I need a prescription filled and picked up during hours that they're closed, I've worked with the other Walgreens (on Dundee) which is 24 hours. Convenience is key, and I've been able to count on this location for the most part. read more

MOST OF THE TIME, they have what I need, however, I often find myself out of luck when it comes to various items...The customer service could definitely be better but, there is this one employee named Sam. He's very friendly and can usually help with anything. :) They have a very wide variety of items and, you shouldn't have to much trouble finding what you need at a reasonable price! read more
