I wanted a nice radiant glow which I felt could have been better, but was told afterwards that my skin looked more even. Fine, that's why they got two stars instead of one. What I found odd from the beginning was that no one wanted to consult with me about the chemical peel. Luckily I already knew like I've already mentioned. The manager who was the only one there barely talked to me and even left me alone with the peel on to go back to the front of the store to help someone else! What if I had a bad reaction? She shouldn't have done that and not to mention I had to wait for her while she helped someone else even though I had an appointment. It was as if because I had a groupon I wasn't priority to her. My chemical peel was at most 10minutes long. She cleaned my face, applied the peel and washed it off. No cream afterwards, and no extractions even with her commenting on my problem areas. She couldn't go ahead to do that even if it wasn't apart of the peel? I believe the groupon mentions that you get a hydrating cream after. Too bad I didn't speak up. I've had far better experiences that I shared with friends and family, but this one I would never ever go back to. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR ENERGY HERE!

Despite about three or four phone calls to AD to deal with the overcharge (I first confirmed with my insurance company that it was, indeed, not a valid charge) I continue to get monthly bills. If I want to talk to a human I must submit to the "phone tree" and hold and, in the end, to no effect. The paper bills and threats to send me to collection continue to appear in the mail box. Before the appointment, she reached out to learn more about my skin concerns and current regimen. I told her my biggest skin issues were large pores, sagging skin and a dull complexion. At the appointment, she started the with dermaplaning, which removes peach fuzzes and dead skin cells. My skin instantly felt softer and more breathable. She then did a mint and papaya enzyme peel. The enzyme tingled a little but nothing unbearable and felt really refreshing and nourishing afterwards. She then removed the black heads. But first she applied a partial facial mask to loosen up the sebum in my pores and as a result there's very little pinching and squeezing to remove the blackheads unlike my previous experience with facials. I really loved how painless that was and the results are just as great! Meanwhile, she massaged my shoulders and neck and applied a décolleté peel off mask. she ended the session with a detoxifying charcoal mask. After the 90 minutes treatment, my skin looked taut and bright. The day after (today), my pores are visibly smaller, skin feels even firmer than right after the facial, and my complexion brighter with a healthy glow. Even my husband commented on how much softer my skin feels. Below is the before and after (day after) pictures I took. Even as a makeup artist, I'm not used to thinking a facial can make such a difference, but after my visit with La'Shawn, I'm a believer. I've been in plenty of drugstores over the years, but this Walgreens on Croton Avenue always impresses me. From the moment you step inside, it feels well-organized, clean, and stocked with everything you might need -- whether it's daily essentials, last-minute items, or just something quick on the go. What really makes this location stand out is the quality of service. Every time I've visited, the team has been genuinely friendly, upbeat, and ready to help. Whether I needed quick directions to find something on the shelves or had questions at the pharmacy counter, the staff treated me with kindness and didn't rush through the interaction. They seem to care about doing the job well and making customers feel welcome. The store layout is intuitive, which means you spend less time searching and more time getting in and out efficiently -- a major plus when you're in a hurry. The shelves are regularly restocked and kept neat, so even during busy times it doesn't feel chaotic. The pharmacy team deserves special mention. They're attentive, patient, and great at explaining medication details in a way that makes sense without being overwhelming. They handled my prescription with professionalism and respect for both my time and my questions. Parking is convenient, the aisles are spacious, and the overall atmosphere always feels calm and organized -- something I genuinely appreciate when running errands. If you're looking for a Walgreens experience that combines convenience, helpful staff, and a consistently clean environment, this location in Ossining really delivers. It's become my trusted stop whenever I'm in the area! read more
