I have officially had my last ever visit to this establishment. Every single time I've gone to the pharmacy here I think that the wait can't possibly be longer than the previous time, and I'm proven wrong. They are always understaffed and slow slow slow. I've waited 45 minutes just to drop off a prescription. I have used "Express Pay" a few times, thinking it would make things much faster. However Express Pay is useless when no one is even working the express pay register or it is being used as a regular lane. This last time I went through the drive through thinking THAT might be faster, and I waited over 20 minutes for my turn. This location appealed to me because of the 24 hr pharmacy, but so not worth it! Avoid at all costs. read more

This review is specifically for the pharmacy. I stood next to my doctor this morning as she submitted my prescription to Walgreens. Four hours later I arrived at Walgreens to pick up the prescription. They could not find it, and said that they'd "check voicemails." I sat in the drive through and waited about 20 minutes while 6 cars went through the drive-through lane next to me. Every single one of those 6 cars were told that either Walgreens didn't have the prescription (as they'd told me) or they had the prescription but that it wasn't ready. One of the people got really upset because she'd dropped the prescription off on SUNDAY and it was now THURSDAY and it still wasn't ready. It took them 20 minutes to check voicemails (why isn't anyone answering the phone?? Why do you have 20 minutes of voicemails to listen to??). They still had no record of the prescription that I watched my doctor submit. If 7 cars in a row are told that their prescription is nowhere to be found, or that they have it, it's just not ready DAYS after drop-off, there's something systemically wrong within the way your pharmacy is being run. read more

Waiting time to pick up medications is minimum 45 min you go inside or use drive through it's still the same. It takes so long to wait for your medications. They are not knowledgable . I asked if copay form primary insurance were billed to secondary insurance they said yes but when I called and asked they said no copays were not billed to secondary you have to tell . I told that i asked if they billed copays tos 3condaru insurance and they said yes. So they lied instead of checking. Now i have to go again stay in the line for 45 min return meds so they can bill copay to secondary insurance . So disappointed read more

Honestly, what's the point of the pharmacy phone line? Tried calling ahead to make sure my prescription was ready (since everytime I go there when it's "ready", I end up waiting 30-40 minutes), stayed on hold for 30 minutes, then when it was my turn in line to speak with someone the phone hangs up. This has happened so many times, it can't be written off as an error. Blatantly ignoring calls at a 24/7 pharmacy? Nice. Can't wait to go there tomorrow, wait in line for 40 minutes, only to be told my prescription will be ready in another 40 minutes. This Walgreens is terrible a shame too since it's so close to home and 24/7 but as you can imagine from previous reviews service sucks, staff is very rude, and very incompetent. I came in to get a simple Tetanus shot, I ended up being in the store for over an hour, also joined by servers other disgruntled customers who also wasn't happy. I read the reviews before coming here, but chose to ignore them since it was so close to where I lived. After waiting over an hour with 102.3 fever and the flu, they didn't even get the prescription right. The lady who was helping me tried to play it by saying "you don't really need the other prescription anyway, you'll be fine." Little did she know the cough suppressant was the item I needed most. Leading up to this I was told it would be 45 min. After well over an hour, I had to ask if it was ready and they said it is, not sure why you weren't notified. I tried being patient since I could tell the staff was struggling, but this place needs some new management. My advice, drive further and save yourself some time. I really wish I had. read more

I came to this location to get my passport photo taken and after my experience today I really want to commend Lisa and Patricia for a excellent customer service. These two employees were extremely pleasant and went above and beyond for me. They knew proper regulations in order to get a proper photo. I expressed my upcoming trip plans and how I needed to make sure my photo was not denied. They let me know exactly what I needed to fix and helped me address it. 8/8/19 I picked up my husband's Saxenda prescription at the drive-thru. The associate at the drive-thru window mistakenly gave my prescription to the customer at the other window. Thankfully, the woman in the other car was savvy enough to realize the clerk's mistake. I then had to return 20 minutes later because the order only contained 1 pen instead of 3. And the pen I received was in a Ziploc bag. A Ziploc bag! Not even a plastic bag issued by the manufacturer! For this issue, I thought it best to visit the pharmacy inside. After 15 minutes, I was finally waited on. I explained that I had been short-changed. The pharmacist conferred with another pharmacist who said that the number 3 refers to the ml of liquid in the pen. No, it does not. The sample kit contains 3 pens. If my husband receives only one pen, then his prescription has to be filled every week for that is about how much medicine is contained in 1 pen. That is absurd. I tried to explain this to the pharmicist, but he assured me I was wrong. Walgreens pharmacists need to be educated about how this drug is dosed because prescriptions are not to be distributed in Ziploc bags. read more

This location of Walgreens definitely is convenient for the quick care. I would say that this location is standard for wait time and service. The waiting area was pretty open to the rest of the store and it was awkward sitting there as shoppers looked at you. The doctors where very quick and I would go back for standard testing. Though I would suggest that they update the estimated time for customers. There was a mother with a sick child who was told that she would have to wait fifty minutes to see the doctor. read more

My doctor called in my prescription to this Pharmacy for my Flu I've been sick for the past week and needed and wanted my antibiotics ASAP! they were out of stock! Now a day later I'm put on hold for 30 min to talk to the pharmacist who was very insensitive to my situation and the nerve to give me attitude! And to only tell me that they had to order it and won't have it til Monday wouldn't that be something you call and tell the customer?! Instead of sending a damn text message! The PHOTO department is fantastic!!! Saved my party!!! I believe her name was "Sonia", not only was she SUPER helpful after Bucktown Walgreens on Armitage & Western COMPLETELY FAILED me, but Sonia, SAVED MY PARTY! I had placed a 20 x 30 poster BOARD order thru the website for next day pick up on a Thursday, when I arrived Friday morning both posters were ROLLED UP in a sleeve! (I had a feeling they were going to screw up). As I was there I explained to the young lady that I had ordered the "board" (heavy duty, foam like boards) so she started re-printing them as I waited. Well, about 5 mins went by and only a quarter of the board had printed, so I told her I would be back after work at (5 pm'ish). Needless to say, I arrive at 5 and they couldn't find my boards, they asked who'd helped me earlier that day, I didn't take a name, I just asked them to check who worked photo at around 10'ish in the a.m. Also, while I waited I spotted BOTH of my poster boards half finished and crooked off to the side, I pointed that out to them and said they "didn't know what had happened". Well, they weren't able to help me, then the manager goes on to tell me that "not everyone is trained to print on photo boards", she said she would accommodate me and call other Walgreens for me, after I waited about 20 mins (I honestly think she forgot about me) I called Walgreens in Oaklawn (while I waited in Bucktown Walgreens). From the moment "Sonia" answered the phone, I felt relieved! She was very helpful, very comforting, and I trusted her. Needless to say, I showed up, and both of my beautiful 20 x 30 poster boards were nicely printed, packaged, and handled!!! I was almost in tears. I was so happy to meet Sonia in person to let her know how grateful I was for all of her help and efforts as I needed the board for first thing Saturday morning. I WILL definitely keep coming back to THIS Walgreens! Thank you Walgreens staff for being so friendly from the moment you walk in. Customer Service at is bests!!!! Hats off to management!!! This pharmacy drive through is absolutely poorly managed. Both lanes constantly have stagnant lines. The justification the employees use is "well we only have one drive through phone", like a second phone is impossible to install. I have small children that I try to avoid bustling out of the car into the cold air. Especially if they are ill which is why I'm at the pharmacy. I rarely post any reviews but this has been terrible for years. I need the 24hr pharmacy w/a drive through. It would be helpful. read more

Bunch of incompetent pharmacy technicians!!! Not even one time my prescription was on time, they always could find issues, which at the end turned out to be coming out of their stupidity! For example, they processed my son prescription like he was the subscriber, a 16y.o. child! When I told the girl I was the subscriber she said the insurance had a wrong DOB for my son. After I called the insurance it turned out they processed the prescription incorrectly!!! So, my rating is a negative 100! They don't deserve even one star! Walgreens, hire competent employees or I will take my business elsewhere! To add to my first review: 4 hours later I came back to pick up the prescription after checking with their answering service that IT WAS ready for pick-up. I was told at the drive-through window, they couldn't get a hold of my insurance so it was not ready. Yet, it took ME 30 second to reach my insurance agent. My question to them was what they were doing for the last 4 hours?! I advise anyone who is considering this store to go anywhere else. Worst place to fill a prescription. After trying to get a prescription filled for over a week due to the pharmacy not having the medication on hand and receiving different prices on the app, I finally went in to pick up my prescription. I was glad to see that there were only 2 people ahead of me and did not expect to have a long wait. The first person that took care of me had no clue of what they were doing. This same person had taken care of the person before me. This pharmacy technician seemed not to know how to work the computer system and by the time he asked for assistance from another pharmacy technician I had already been waiting in line for 30 minutes. Unfortunately, this was the person that I had to deal with and sure enough, he had not clue of what he was doing and had me waiting 15 minutes while he tried to figure out something in the computer system. I finally asked him to please seek assistance as I had already been waiting for 45 minutes. The same person that had stepped in to assist him with the previous customer took over and quickly entered all of my information. I was told that I would have to wait about 15 to 20 more minutes for my insurance to be called, which I don't understand because my insurance is already on file with this is prescription that has always been filled at this same location. I had to walk out without my prescription as I didn't have time to wait an additional 20 minutes after having been there for 45 minutes. I will be transferring all my prescription to another pharmacy, as it seems that this location is short staffed and poorly trained. read more

I came here few months ago for ear wax removal at the take care clinic, my experience there was just terrible, I was paying from my pocket, and asked in advance, they said it was ok, the nurse there, older female, was not very happy to learn that I don't have insurance, the whole ear exam took less than 5 seconds, was more of pretend exam than anything else, the nurse said my ears were clean and no wax was there, biggest lie ever, she just didn't want to get involved with a patient who is paying out of packet as I realized later. Still she wanted to charge me obviously, and tolled me, listen to this, that she had to come up with a diagnosis, and will write down that I had pain in my ears, which I didn't, and I said that's just not true, I had no pain, just ears with some wax in them, she insisted that she had to lie in order to bill me. It's bearable to deal with not- so-honest car mechanic or a used car salesman, but a health professional? that's just really tough. The nurse there was more of a crook, than anything else. read more

I have the unfortunate luck of this Walgreens being the closest to my house. It at one point was a quality store with quality workers. They are sadly quite less than now. The shelves are either was overstocked basically pull one thing off the shelf and everything around it's gonna come tumbling down or grossly under stocked like nothing nada zero hope you didn't want it that bad. The employees drag ass. They clearly hate their jobs! They're rude disrespectful and lazy. This is not a run in run out store. This is a lazy afternoon store cuz hey why not stand in a line of 20 people that all have 1 or 2 items each (don't worry they aren't intimidated by long lines or frustrated waiting customers). Infact I'd advise just stopping at a different Walgreens all together if at all possible unless wasting time is your gig!!! read more
