I have a monthly prescription that can be hard to fill and requires a specific coupon coordination, and he has figured it out for me every time. Systems are hard. Went there for a passport photo. Despite 2 seperate efforts we were not successful. The government turned it down. But the real reason for this review is the poor attitude of the Walgreens clerk. This first time she looked at her watch as if our request would somehow intefer with her leaving. Never a smile, no pleasantries and it felt like she didn't want to serve us despite our never having interacted before. The second time was more of the same treatment and the photo was again rejected by the government. Walgreens is hurting these days, I highly suspect its due to customer service issues. read more

They were suppose to call the hospital to transfer meds a week and half ago. Just called the hospital to see if they transferred them over Walgreens never called them to to it. Out of meds as of today.This pharmacy has the rudest incompetent people working. I've never seen so much laziness and horrible attitudes like this store. I'm not the only one complaining. Jackie has helped numerous times with straightening out issues and we appreciate her very much the only good worker there. Store personnel is fine. The pharmacy personnel is nice but it's obvious they're understaffed/overwhelmed. Even with an appointment for an immunization we weren't seen for 45 minutes after our scheduled time. Really though, the waiting area for prescriptions/the clinic is DIRTY. There are candy wrappers, lollipop sticks one other debris on the floor, and soda cans and bottles and bags of snacks left on the tables/counters. There was also a literal pile of someone's pocket trash on one of the chairs. While it would be great if people didn't leave with messes behind in the first place, it's obvious there is inadequate overnight cleaning (we were there first thing in the morning). read more

I took my 85 year old mother to Christ Hospital ER 09 April and she received a prescription which was sent to Walgreens at 95th and Cicero. We were told at Christ the prescription would be ready the same day however the pharmacist at Walgreens stated we would have to wait. So we waited an hour and the prescription wasn't ready. I called and was placed on hold and eventually told the prescription would be ready Friday 11 April. I checked the mobile Walgreens app and it stated the prescription would be ready 10 April. Neither dates were acceptable to us so we called to get the prescription transferred to another pharmacy ( millennium) in Chicago ridge. The folks at millennium were helpful in trying to initiate the transfer however the people at Walgreens had a problem faxing the prescription in a timely manner. It took them over an hour to simply fax a prescription transfer. The pharmacist at millennium receive the fax five minutes before closing and took care of our order. Thanks to millennium pharmacy and as to Walgreens I'll never go there again read more

I was Told my prescriptions would be ready in two hours at 6, and before heading there made a couple of phone calls and was on hold for almost an hour, and then the line disconnected!! When I got there it was a line in the pharmacy that had like at least 10 people in front of me waiting with just one girl moving slowly that was there!! It gets worse!! By the time I got up in pick up my prescriptions they weren't even ready and was told to wait an additional 20 minutes!! Worst run pharmacy I've ever been to or experienced in my entire life!!! I'm beyond frustrated with the pharmacy service at this Walgreens location. This isn't the first time I've had issues, and it always seems to happen when a specific pharmacist named Shae is working. Most recently, a prescription was sent in electronically, and when I followed up, I was told they received "an order" but didn't know what the medication was for--just that it was "getting ready electronically," whatever that means. After I explained what the medication was for, I was told they do have it in stock, but they needed to wait for the order to finish processing. Hours later, I get a call back saying the order is ready--only for them to then say they don't have the medication after all. This back-and-forth is completely unacceptable, especially when dealing with something as serious as people's health. This same pattern of confusion, lack of clear communication, and delays keeps happening, and it's always when Shae is working. At this point, I'm losing trust in this pharmacy altogether. Get your process and your staff in order. read more

Rude staff! Completely ignores customers. Doesn't answer phones. Just plain awful! I asked where items where in the store and was completely ignored. Employees at any business should be at a minimum courteous. For them to be flat out rude and unresponsive is totally unprofessional. It's the worst pharmacy ever! If I could give 0 stars, I definitely would! I am so tired of being on hold for an hour, then someone picks up and puts me back on hold, then again! The only reason I go here is because it 24 hours. I would NEVER, NEVER, NEVER recommend this pharmacy to anyone. They are also the WORST at getting insurance authorizations. My prescription was initially denied but then was overturned and approved. I went through a week just trying to get ahold of them, and once I did, I'm still being told my insurance denied it. I had one person tell me that since it was overturned, they need to put it in the computer a special way and that it would be ready Wednesday. I am still waiting and it is the Monday after. Now I have been on hold for 40 minutes and hung up on. I have a doctor's appointment in a couple days that I am supposed to bring my prescription to but still don't have it. We need resolutions. Walgreens failed me when I needed them most. After surgery, I tried to use the drive-thru for my prescription. They refused to take Apple Pay and told me to walk inside, despite my mobility issues. I left without my medication and still had to endure unnecessary pain. Worse, I had to make three trips just to attempt to get my prescription. Walgreens clearly doesn't prioritize patients anymore. Let's talk the pharmacist sending you off when you have pneumonia and you're trying to make sure your insurance is updated, but they put you on a bs call hold instead of refunding your insurance through. Unprofessional. They wnated to lie to me and tell me my insurance was fully covered when I had just gotten my newly updated medical plan reinstated so in so many words they were trying to scam and run my pockets. It sucks. Getting a prescription here is hell. They frequently drop the line or pass you off to a computer. It's frustrating and can be solved by HIRING MORE HUMANS who can HELP YOU SOLVE PROBLEMS. After getting re-routed thrice, the person on the phone said I was breaking up. So 25 minutes later, using a land line, I reproduced the phone trail, only to hear the pharmacist say that I was breaking up. IT WAS NOT ME! The Good Lord Himself could have called and they'd be like, Sorry, Sir, can't hear you *click* Didn't you ever see "War Games"? What happened when they took the people out of the silos? Pandemonium, that's what! Put actual people back in the mix and you'll do better. My doc sent a rx at 8am I called at 10am sw a Samantha to see if it was ready , I was told they didn't fill it because it wasn't covered by the insurance and they didn't THINK I would pay for it because of the cost..uhmmm who in the hell asked them to count my pockets! I told them I wanted to pay for it and they told me it would be ready n 1hr ..well I came to pick it up 4hrs later ..got here and they told me ..we didn't fill it because it's not covered. I have never had such an issue or poor service from a pharmacy. Every single month there is a problem. No wonder they are going out of business. They have had a controlled substance prescription since the 4th. It is now the 17th. THE 17th! I waited 25 minutes in line to pick up said medication because NOT ONE PERSON there contacted saying they were having an issue. My insurance does not cover this med, myself and the pharmacist knows this. Which is why I have a coupon SPECIFICALLY for this med and I always pay something for it. Instead of making notes on my file, they continue to run it through my insurance. Then not tell me they aren't filling it . Even though the coupon is right there in front of them. It's literally common sense. Use the coupon with the name of the med. This is a daily medication I take and now have been off of it for 10 DAYS due to poor, or lack there of, basic communication. I needddd this med to function and this place continues to cause issues with not filling it. It's been since May they have filled this. What's the issue? It is the only place around that I can get this med monthly. It's absolutely ridiculous. When you ask for the lead pharmacist, she's always "busy." Do not come here. If you are trying to refill a prescription, minimum 40 minute wait whether it's on the phone or in store. Phone calls are often dropped after waiting for 40 mins. Really bad customer service. read more

I agree with many on this site. The pharmacy here is sorely lacking in customer service. Try to call and they place you on auto hold multiple times only to drop you. It's ridiculous. I know from experience they are swamped. Walgreens you need to put more people at this location. The line is always outrageously long too. read more

Terrible pharmacy. Let's start with them closing the pharmacy on the Friday before memorial day from 11am-1130am. I don't know of any other pharmacies that close the entire department for a pharmacist lunch and I used to work at a grocery/drug store. We all know that the pharmacy tech's take care of the drop off and pick ups of prescriptions. At least 4 times in the last 12 months, while trying to get a monthly prescription filled it has taken this pharmacy 2-7 days to fill a prescription. And 1 of the times I had to have the doctor call a different location to have it filled after a 7 day wait, for a prescription that is taken daily. At first I thought it was just this location, but I see from reading the reviews it is at most locations. This is your typical big business that has put profits over service. I believe there is probably a lot of employee dissatisfaction which leads to poor customer service. You can see this in the employees attitudes throughout the entire store. Shame on Walgreens, this is a very large business, that relies on customers for their profits. read more

Stopped in for Advocate's clinic and was saddened by the unclean waiting room and tattered chairs (maintained by Walgreens). Seeing the long, winding line at pharmacy makes me never want to use that pharmacy. Also, their was no hot water in the entire store. I attempted to fill a prescription right after having surgery, but was told via message that there was an issue with my insurance information. When I called in an attempt to have this straightened out, as I am in incredible pain literally 2 hours post-op, I was placed on hold for over 34 minutes before anyone even attempted to help me. Every few minutes the line would ring to remind them that I was there, and instead of picking it up to reassure me that they even care and will be with me shortly, they just switched it right back over to hold instead without saying a single word to me. As I was sitting here cringing in pain, on the verge of tears, listening to their ridiculous hold music, all that I could think to myself was how they clearly do not give a crap about their clientele, which very clearly shows. I will ABSOLUTELY NEVER use this Walgreens again, even if my life depended on it, because they would clearly just let me succumb to my deadly fate and not give a damn. After someone finally decided to do their job and answer my call, they informed me that it will be an additional 2 hours before the script is filled, even though the original timeline that they gave me stated that it should be in about 40 minutes from now. She also stated that there acrltually is NOT an issue with the prescription AT ALL, so this entire mess is all for naught. I suppose I have no other choice but to continue sitting here writhing in this ever worsening pain for the next 2 hours until they get their stuff together and place a few pills into a bottle and slap a label on it for me..... I've been to this Walgreens a fair amount of times. It's your general Walgreens that features a anything a normal Walgreens has. You been here once, you've been to them all. Store is fairly stocked and offers alot. It usually does a great deal on drinks especially Arizonas every now and then. Staff is friendly for the most part. Parking is never a hassle. read more

This Walgreens sucks! I received a courtesy call to remind me my prescription was ready. I clearly stated I would pick it up the following day because I was out of town. I went to pick up the prescription and was informed there wasn't one available. "BOB" the manager had a total disregard for the inconvenience. He said he was the only manager available because nobody wants to work late nights. The young lady w/blonde and black hair who was there in Thursday, July 1st at 11:30 was rude as well. She stated she was the only person filling prescriptions, working drive thru and ringing customers up on pharmacy. I had to wait a hour for the prescription. Customer service has gone down the drain. I took a pic of "Bob" because I couldn't see his name tag and he was more concerned about if I was putting him on Facebook. I told him no I just wanted to know who I was talking to because I didn't see a name on his ID, just a bar code. read more
