It's that time of the year... online shopping and go to the store to pick-up, or take the risk of shipping. Very quickly put together by the staff at this location. The only thing I did not like- they did not have an item so they excluded it and gave me a refund. I would have chosen something different rather than taken the refund. Otherwise, I'm happy with the service. Think about it... you place the order at your leisure in the comfort of your home. Then go in next day to pick-up. Someone is basically doing the work for you, and for that, I appreciate the hard work the staff and this business does for its clients. TIP- When you order online you get to see if the products are available whether online or in-store, AND which store location has it... it's a life hack that saves you time and energy. read more

I stopped by this location once early in the day on a Saturday morning to pick up a perscripiton while I was suffering from pink eye. The girl that came to the pharmacy to open up took awhile to get hereself organized but then was pretty quick in filling my script. I usually use another Walgreens location but would definitely run in here again if I was in a pitch. read more

The Walls are definitely not Green, and the rock/cliff face behind the store is more of a brownish colour. Close to one of my fave places in Jersey (Mitsuwa Marketplace), and across from what used to be a 24 hr Starbucks (but is no longer), this Walgreens has 1-star prices and 2-star service, but the incredible backdrop to the store earns it a third star, because what other Walgreens has such a beautiful rear-end, or rather, view behind its rear-end? As it happens I was only here for some over-the-counter medication and after balking at the price, I marveled at the view. Then I went to Mitsuwa, and ate so much Ramen that I needed more pills. read more

Waiting for wife's second COVID shot , pharmacist very rude. Had to wait an hour while waiting for person in front of her to get insurance verified. Coupons are treated like a credit check here. I really really wanted to like this store but will not be frequenting this store anymore. I don't use coupons in general except for one particular consumable where the coupon is only available online. And I have used this coupon in several Walgreens stores throughout the country as well as other retailers. The first time I used it, I had it scrutinized very very carefully by the weekday manager who approved it. Today, I go, and the second shift supervisor (I think her name is Emilia) literally squinted at the coupon for ten minutes and then told me I couldn't use it because it was photocopies (it was printed). It was humiliating to have to wait at the counter while other people were in line and have her 'pass judgement'. I have had credit approvals that took less time. Because the policy changes on a whim, I will no longer be going to this location and probably Walgreens less, in general. I thank goodness I never moved all my business from CVS and will start shopping there exclusively again. read more

Horrible experience. My 2 year old got a prescription filled at 5:53 pm. I called to ask them not to close since I was 5 minutes away. I caught a red-light and arrived at 6:01 pm. They told me they were closed and would not help me despite me pleading with them about my sick child. They referred me to another Walgreens. To me, that is horrendous service. I would never do that to someone. They may as well just hire a robot so at least I won't be disappointed I'm not being treated humanely. I'll never go there again. CVS is right down the street and now has all my business. read more

I went to Walgreen's on River Road in North Bergen, NJ to fill a prescription. I arrived at 1:30 & was told the pharmacist takes lunch from 1:30 to 2 pm, and they would indicate WAITING on the Rx. They told me My prescription would be ready at 2:15. I waited, and waited, and waited. Finally at 2:30, I waited online & asked if my Rx was ready. Apparently they neglected to mark it WAITING, & by then the pharmacist was administering vaccines. Finally at 2:45 I received my prescription. I had the same experience with another Walgreen's. Sadly, they are my insurance preferred pharmacy, or I'd go elsewhere. read more

I've been to this Walgreens a few times already including it's Grand Opening which was last Saturday, April 20. Nicely designed with an industrial modern feel. They seem to have a very good inventory as compared to the other drugstores along River Rd. Customer service was very good, as expected for a brand spankin new store. Hopefully that will continue. I was one of the 1st 200 customers during Grand Opening, and was given a free 24 pack case of water. Sweeeet! Wishing this Walgreen plenty of success! read more

Made a 4:30pm covid testing appointment. Arrived 3 minutes early. There were 4 cars in front of me and I waited in line for 46 minutes. The exchange, from being given the test to returning it, took 2 minutes total. Absolutely Inefficient. Also, the pharmacy gal, who was handling my covid test, was sucking on a lollipop & not wearing a mask. I'd recommend searching for another location. read more

Walked in 15 mins late to a vaccine appointment. Watched pharmacy workers help one person after another as I was "waiting to be called" what's the point of making an appointment? Now I know 15 mins late I can understand waitin 5-15 mins. I'm writing this now a full hour later. Pharmacy staff doing their best but their best doesn't seem to include good customer experience. They're out here just surviving. Like deer in headlights staring at a line of 3-6 people. Send help. If you need literally anything from a pharmacy. I'd say compared to the Walgreens in NB by 80th street park or whatever, this one had its shit together. Clean, organized and their printing services are WELL above the other convenience store printing. If you're in a real bind and need to make prints or posters, invitations or something, THIS is the location to go for. They're fast and the color quality comes out as good as it gets. Really convenient location on river rd HOWEVER, they are not 24hrs. They usually have a lot of pretty decent food items on sale, which is indicated on their giant LED sign out front. Big selection of everything you'd need from food to beauty products and beyond. read more

Which is their closing time , they refused to do the shot , come on , she is 85 years old , you can be kind for a nice golden girl . Pharmacy personnel leaves a lot to be desired. I went there at 10 this morning to pick up prescriptions that were electronically sent by the doctor at a local urgent care. They weren't ready and I was told by the guy working the pharmacy counter it be be 15 to 20 minutes. A half hour later he looked at me and mumbled something so I walked up figuring I'm ready. With that he takes care of someone who just walked up to drop off, going through the entire insurance process while I stood there. He was nasty and sarcastic because I didn't thank him when he handed me back my insurance card. That's it Walgreen's. Done with you. read more

This place is mis-managed, and they run the inventory WAY too tight. Leaving a prescription is a crap-shoot. Too often they are out of stock and have to order the medication which should be there "in a few days". Other times, they'll give you SOME of your medication (~50% or so?), and tell you they need to order the rest, which should be there "in a few days". Um, no - I don't want to come back 2 or 3 times for ONE prescription. I scheduled a vaccine appointment online, when I got there they didn't have any! (So why schedule the appointment, if you don't have that particular vaccine????? ) instead, I went to Walgreens on Bergenline, walked in, and got the same vaccine without an appointment. Today, the pharmacy was supposed to open at 9AM. Got there at 9:30, found a long line waiting for someone (anyone?) to open the pharmacy. Nobody home! With a precious few exceptions, the staff is grumpy, unpleasant, and they do not communicate with you! Go elsewhere. This place will waste your time! read more

Worst Walgreens ever - the people there should have not been hired. They are slow and I mean slow like a snail. They do not help anyone. There was a group of employees all playing around behind the register while there was a line of people. Typically, you would open a new register or even at the photo stand, call the next person in line. But no, they rather horse play while the one girl at the register looked like she was intentionally going as slow as she can to make the people in line wait longer. This walgreens is awesome I love the customer service and the store appeal is just beautiful. This is a wellness store so the pharmacy has its own waiting room that is very bright and welcoming while waiting for prescriptions. The store is very big and has a large inventory. Every employee greets you and asks if they can help which is great for this new store. I absolutely wish this walgreens lots of success because it is a wonderful store!! read more

As someone who worked in service related industries (both customer facing and call centers) in my youth, I know the boxes that must be checked off to meet an acceptable standard. You will not find them at this location. No urgency. Unmotivated and unapologetic about lines or dissatisfied customers. Freezer has been broken for weeks. Regular issues with incorrect pricing at the register. It's unfortunate, but at least there is another pharmacy just a few stop lights away. read more

It is by far my favorite Walgreens. It has its own private parking lot. It's convenient to get to, located off River Road. The stop is directly in front of the store so for anyone who does not drive, you can get there by public transportation. This location is always clean, items are always in stock and the employees are very helpful and friendly. They have a drive thru pharmacy as well as a photo center. When there are lines during checkout, they usually immediately open up additional cashiers to reduce wait time. One of the things that I do not understand is the cashiers are always trying to sell me candy. I don't think that is a company wide thing since I have never encountered that at other locations but the cashiers always mention that they have to meet a goal and if we want to purchase candy or gum to help them meet the goal.
