I stopped a sales associate, TJ and inquired of its location. He pulled out his "phone" & located the item I wanted but wasn't sure how to direct me to its aisle. Just then Andrea came out of the swinging doors and was giving input to my plight. Eric identified where Aisle J was, pointed that direction, TJ offered to take me over to it but I declined. I had more shopping to do in Foods and commented to them that it was so refreshing to experience helpful attitudes and smiles from all three of them. We said our goodbyes but not before I told them how nice it was to have received such genuine customer service. It took no more than 2-3 minutes but certainly made my day and I let them know their actions warranted kudos!! So, here I am to let you know I still have the smile on my face from this experience. I hope you can make their spirit of service spread throughout the employee ranks. They're "KEEPERS"!!!

She continues to yell at the associate and the customers about how it's getting too late. I come inside to wait for my tire to get repaired and the manager starts yelling at another associate about how he needs to get doing stuff and he said he's getting on it. Mind you this one was a new hire and wasn't sure of the situation fully. The manager keeps yelling at him until he gets out into the service bay. She then talks negative about the poor kid to the customer she was talking to. The associates were very helpful but the manager was degrading to the staff and customers. The fact that the employees maintain a positive attitude with such disrespect from their manager is astounding and they deserve better. The unprofessional behavior exhibited by this person is unacceptable and she should be terminated because I know this is a daily behavior and it is inexcusable no matter what is going on. To add to it I was charged double for something that said per tire not per hole.

The display case is seriously a trip back in time in medical history! The pharmacy by itself is reason enough to visit, but what puts this place over the top is the old school soda fountain that is contained within! They mix up all the favorites your grandparents used to talk about and will make you a rootbeer float that you've only heard of in the movin pictures! Truly a spot not to miss and one of only a few places we've been that truly continues to preserve a heritage that is vanishing quickly. There's also this Drug Store, which looks to be part of a yet-to-be realized development initiative at and around the old Train Station. Gayle was at a Salon at the Train Station getting her nails done. After all, my fabulous wife must mind the beauty details! However, with the Iowa humidity, she would probably go for shorter hair if we actually lived here. Since this takes time, I decided to walk down Main Street and look around. After walking around the Train Station and admiring the architecture (and the safety fence near the tracks), I first wandered into Hy-Vee Drugstore and for some air conditioned relief. This place is a lot larger than it looks from the outside. They have a nice selection of the usual stuff, plus gifts and wine/beer. I ended up buying a padded wine holder to later (and successfully) take back a bottle of Templeton Rye Whiskey back to Iowa. I'll probably be back the next time I'm in town for any travel-related supplies or to just kill a little time.
