No reason to round up... I gave the young man a $5 bill for a $3.98 item. Him: "Do you want to round it up?" Me: "No." Him: "I don't have change." Me: "You only owe me a dollar." Him: "I don't have any dollars.. or change." Me: "Why?" Him: "I would have to go to the back and get some....." Me: "Why would you do this (to customers)?" Silence. More silence. I booked two appointments online for August 4, 2026 (glasses exam for my daughter and contact lens exam for myself) and received text confirmations. When we arrived, the front desk said they had no appointment for me "in their system" but would see me anyway--no apology, and the tone made it feel like they were doing me a favor. I was charged $71 for both visits, denied an itemized receipt, and my daughter's prescription didn't change so she didn't get new glasses. I was told trial contacts would be ordered for me and that they'd call when they arrived. Instead, my calls went unanswered, my voicemails were ignored, and my email asking them to reverse the claim so I could see another provider got no response. Weeks later, they emailed a screenshot of text messages sent to an unknown phone number claiming my contacts had arrived. This is extremely suspicious and suggests my medical information may have been sent to the wrong person. Even after I requested the claim be reversed, they did not do so. My insurance later told me Prairie Vision Center claimed I was seen and simply never returned to pick up my prescription. When I went back in person to ask again that they reverse the claim, they refused and told me they would not help me further. I had to involve my insurance company and file a complaint just to be able to see another provider. Based on my experience, I would not trust Prairie Vision Center with my care, my money, or my personal information.
