This is regarding the Walgreens Pharmacy at this particular branch & would've given this 0 stars if that option was available. One of the worst experiences we've had. I was in pain and needed medication ASAP, and went there around noon to pick up meds when my doctor sent the prescription electronically and it wasn't available yet, which was fine because it was around under an hour since it was sent here. But it ended up taking around 4pm or so to finally get the meds I needed after being in pain for so long. When we initially (my mom had to drive me since I was incapable of driving because of the severity of my stomach pain) went there to pick it up through the drive-thru, they processed the first 2 meds under the correct and current insurance I have, but the 3rd med wasnt ready cause of stone unknown issue. The 3rd med was the most important one that I needed at the time. So then, we went back home and I called about 2 hours later (since I still haven't received an automated call of it being ready), and the lady (whom I told that I was in pain and needed it) talked to the insurance rep and found out that the 3rd med was processed under my previous insurance that was there and will get it processed ASAP & I inquired when it will be ready and she told me in about 1/2 hr. Then I called about 1/2 hr later and it still wasn't ready . Then me and my mom went through the drive-thru yet again about an hour later and was told that it still wasn't ready, but the other 2 were. My mom semi went off on the tech and said I've been in pain for a long time and the tech then said we can either wait 15-20 minutes and come again when ready and then asked what we would like to do. We just went inside the store to get it without answering her because we were pissed. Then, when we got there, it ended up being ready (only a partial was available since they didnt have enough in stock at the time and would have to come back for the rest in a few days) and sitting inside the storage drawer. Here's another incident, about a few days later, when we went to get the remainder of the med, there are 2 lines - one is pick up and the other is express pick up - we stood in the pick up line for about a minute and one of the pharmacy people who was at the register , rudely said to not stand in that line and to go in the express line. Wtf? Don't be rude at all to any customers first of all and especially when confusion can happen when it comes to 2 pick up lines. We went to tell my sister all of this, and she said the one on Rickert Drive is way better and fast. Either way, I have changed any medication pick up to Walmart and never Walgreens Pharmacy. read more

Terrible pharmacy. Extremely long wait times. Not customer oriented. I choose to go to Jewel's pharmacy even though there is not a drive thru. Many people in our area do the same as they have had the same bad experience at Walgreens. I had to go to Walgreens this evening because they do have later hours on Sunday then Jewel & I was leaving for out of town on Monday morning. Literally NEVER AGAIN!!! I'm typing this message while sitting in the pharmacy line behind 1 car with two in the other lane and 2 behind me waiting. Just to give insight into time I have been waiting in this line along with others for over an hour. I have a sick 2 year old in the back and we just left urgent care. Not to mention the line on the inside is I kid you not wrapped around an aisle corner. So just avoid this pharmacy at all costs if you know what's good for you. Absolute worst Walgreens!! So disappointed as this location is closest to my house but I'm scared for my family's safety when it comes to any prescriptions from here. Have had multiple occasions when the pharmacist didn't know basic things... such as arguing with me that loratadine is the same thing as Zantac! when my son had strep I went to go pick up the amoxicillin brought it home to see no liquid was mixed in with the powder... not to mention anytime I go through the drivethru it's always a 45 minute wait::: the last thing you want to do when you're sick and have kids in the car.... what an inconvenient place to say the least! read more

I came here to get a flu shot for my daughter. I was told I couldn't make an appointment and this was walk ins only. I'm sitting here with three young kids and they DO take appts. No one decided to tell me that so I've been waiting over an hour with three kids and the Dr just took someone ahead of us. If the flu wasn't so important to prevent I would have left by now. This place is garbage. Next time I'll just go to my drs office because this is not a quick in and out like I expected. read more

The last three times at this Walgreens I have been over charged with NO apology. Today it was a $7.59 over charge. I even inquired about sale price and had to go back and take pics of items to prove to them. Tim W the manager was a jerk. He took NO ownership and argued with me. The time before the girl was an idiot and I had to have her ring it up 3x to finally get the right charges. If you have a half hour to check out go here, but be sure to check every item rung up. The pharmacy at this location is nothing short of abysmal. Not only are wait times outrageous, but customers are often sent home with prescriptions for other patients, and prescriptions are canceled when employees choose not to follow up for pending doctor approval on refills. Twice in the past two weeks I have had refills that have been acknowledged by Walgreens as having been received that have been canceled and deleted from their system when after 12 hours they have not received response from my doctors office approving a refill request request. I just spoke with the pharmacist at that location who confirmed that it is common practice for their location to delete refill requests when doctors approvals have not been immediately received. She also confirmed that it is the patients responsibility to follow up with their doctor for refill approval rather than her pharmacy staff taking any responsibility in that process. Not only is the staff they're rude, but now it has been confirmed by the pharmacist that they are not expected to complete the job responsibilities any other pharmacy staff representative would be expected to do read more

My husband and I both had appointments for immunizations and after a long wait in line we were told that they only had 1 shot left. Then they left me waiting for another 1/2 hour after the appo! They don't care that we had appointments!! I had to show them proof!! There were 2 other customers who were also complaining (one waited 1 hour for prescription and the other was told when he arrived that they did not have his medication at their pharmacy-he never received a call that it wasn't there). This is THE most poorly run Walgreens that I've ever been to. Don't go here-try another Walgreens-or better yet-go to CVS!!! read more

Always such a long wait at the pharmacy! I dropped off a prescription on Tuesday and i got a text saying it was delayed. It is now Friday night at 11 p.m. and after calling and being on hold for ten minutes to be told that it is, in fact, finally ready, I drove to the store and have now been standing in a line for over 10 minutes. It is not unusual to spend a half hour in a line here. I usually have better luck in the drive through and at least there I can sit down. The pharmacy seems chronically understaffed. They should really hire some more techs and pharmacists. read more

1 star because there's no zero available. Just spent 50 minutes (FIFTY) in the drive through. Went to pick up 3 prescriptions that I was told were ready, arrived to find out only one was ready. This is excessive, but 15 minutes isn't unusual most of the time. bring your meds with you, you don't want to miss a dose while your waiting in their drive through. Lastly, in their defense, there was one car ahead of me for the first 15 minutes. read more

This pharmacy is not customer oriented. Went with my husband to get the flue shot. At 8 p.m. there was a 30 minute wait to get a flu shot, so we left. The next day, we arrived at 1:20 p.m. and were advised that we'd have to return after 2 p.m, as the pharmacist was going on break at 1:30 p.m. So, it's not 1:30 p.m. - it's 1:20 p.m. - no response from technician. Went to CVS - we were waited on right away - will NEVER return to Walgreens. Will go out of my way to find the nearest CVS. read more

Very frustrating. The pharmacy employees at this location work hard. However, they appear to be chronically understaffed. I have been a customer for years, and things have not changed. Due to overwhelming demand on resources, phones are often unanswered during the day. There's usually only one or two registers at the pharmacy open even though it accommodates three (four if you count the drive-thru). Lines are frequently long while one of the register stations goes unmanned and seems to serve as a place for information pamphlets. Staff is often flustered due to the workload. People in line crack jokes about chronic wait times, shaking heads often. Not a good experience at all. The organizational system is not the best, and when you combine to few employes and demand, items get misplaced. The good news is they are open 24/7. The pharmacy employees are friendly and work hard. read more

The worst pharmacy drive-thru I have ever encountered. 25 minutes to pick up a prescription!

This Walgreens, the store itself is great. The pharmacy staff- except the pharmacist, are nice. The pharmacist and wait times is a nightmare. I arrived at 4:50pm to drop off a script. I chose to wait, as they said 20-30 minutes. I also signed up for the text alert when my prescription is ready. An hour later and no text yet, I stood in the long line to find out they don't carry this drug in the caplet or dosage. I asked to speak to the pharmacist, whom acts as if he could care less and doesn't want to be bothered with questions. Very arrogant and condescending if you ask me. The pharmacist said they don't carry this drug in a caplet, only capsules and did not have the milligram size needed. I know they come in caplets as I had this prescription a few weeks ago. I decided to go elsewhere. On my way out my doctor called to say the pharmacy called and that the capsule is ok. I decided to go back and let them fill it. This was at 6:30pm, 1 1/2 hours in this store. I went home. No text alerts yet. 8:30pm I decide to call the recorded line a few times to check on the progress. Not ready yet. Finally 9pm it's ready. They said a text alert had been sent but I never received. When picking up, I noted the capsule was 1 ml and I needed .05 Pharmacist said doctor approved the 1 ml. I was Leary. Next day I was able to get the script elsewhere in a caplet in the .05ml size. I went back to the Walgreens to ask to return the capsules and I wanted to inform the pharmacist a) this drug comes in caplets which he said it did not and b) in .05ml that I needed. Couldn't return the capsule drugs ( which I figured) but I wanted to show the drug comes in caplets after pharmacist said it does not. To top this off, my doctor called me to check up and I asked if they said the 1ml could be taken instead of the .05, as the pharmacist said he was told by her. She DID NOT approve that. Does this pharmacist need to be reported? Yes!! Will NEVER return to the pharmacy ever!!! He may end up making someone very sick or worse. Do not go to this pharmacy!!! read more

Went in with a girlfriend and met Felicia. She was so friendly and so incredibly helpful in the makeup section. I am pretty clueless and her expertise really made everything so much easier. She was so friendly, outgoing and made the experience uplifting and inviting in a Walgreens. I have never had such great customer service before at a Walgreens. Closest pharmacy to my house. That is the only selling point. They are a high volume pharmacy and they don't have enough space or staff to accommodate. Don't ever try to pick up a prescription at 5 pm unless you have at least a half hour to wait in line. Had a horrible experience there over the weekend. Went to the pharmacy Saturday morning to pick up a name-brand prescription and they told me my coupon was expired. (Twenty minutes spent at the drive through.) So, I went home and printed out a new coupon. Went back to the pharmacy. This time at the walk up. Same gal inputs my new coupon but tells me she can't connect to my insurance provider to get a final price, come back later. (Another twenty minutes spent!) So I go back the next day and the guy at the counter tells me (after I wait in line for 10 minutes) yeah everything went through but we are out of stock on that item. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! read more

I can't even begin to tell you how disappointing my experience was at the Advocate Clinic this evening. I went to get a flu shot for my 12 year old son that had a mild sore throat and sniffles and they did a generic strep swab that came back negative, he was afebrile, denied any other symptoms and they would not give him the flu shot! An APN that stays abreast of current research and recommendations would know that the CDC recommends that, "If you are sick with a fever, you should wait until your fever is gone before getting a flu shot. However, you can get a flu shot if you have a respiratory illness without a fever, or if you have another mild illness". This has been the gold standard for years now. I'm a nurse at one of the teaching hospitals in the city and unless you are immunocompromised due to chemo or anti-rejection meds you are getting a flu shot! Really, what a waste of time and I had to wait until 5:40 for my son to be seen when our appointment was at 5:00. What a waste of time and money. Save yourself the time and go to your pediatricians office for the flu shot because I can guarantee he would have gotten the flu shot had we gone to the pediatricians office. Walgreens and Advocate should educate their APNs regarding vaccines and current practice/recommendations, and especially with something as important as the flu vaccine during flu season. read more

Love this location. They have everything you could ever need. The staff is super friendly and helpful! They are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The pharmacy department is great as well. They are always kind and helpful with prescription needs or OTC recommendations (even when they are slammed). Great pick if you need a Walgreens in the area. read more

My husband and I came here on a Saturday afternoon to get travel vaccines. I had called ahead of time to make an appointment and was told I didn't need to and I could just come in. The pharmacy line was long and you could tell it was very busy. When we got to the front of the line, the girl helping us looked either hungover or like she didn't care about her job at all. it took her over 20 minutes to process the 2 vaccines we each were getting. I asked her if she needed our insurance card (I had recently switched insurance so I knew what they had on file was incorrect) and she said "not yet" and never asked for it again. Then she told us to sit and wait, it would be about 20 minutes until a pharmacist could give the vaccines. After waiting 30 minutes, I got back in line and spoke with another pharmacy tech, Amber. You could tell Amber knew what she was doing (she was helping the girl who previously helped us). Amber was shocked we were still waiting for our vaccines and looked up in the computer what the other girl had done. Without saying anything, Amber asked us for our information again and re entered everything the previous girl entered. Then they told us our insurance wouldn't cover it. Prior to coming to this Walgreens I called about 5 different people to be sure our insurance covered the vaccines, so I knew that was wrong. When I told them that can't be true, they finally took our insurance card and entered in the correct data. Then it went through as covered. After another 20 minutes of running through the set up, we were told a pharmacist would be right out to help us. It took about ten minutes, but the pharmacist came with the vaccines this time. She administered them without any issue, but didn't give us information about having to come back for a second Hepatitis A vaccines (it's 2 parts), I had to ask to confirm since I'd done my research before coming in. Overall, the pharmacists/pharmacy techs at this Walgreens seem either incompetent or very understaffed. It proved to cause many issues during the 2 hours we spent waiting around on this Saturday afternoon. We watched 2 other people have similar experiences with waiting, not being told when their prescriptions were ready, not having correct insurance entered, etc. Many of the issues seemed to center around the first girl who helped us that day. She was not wearing a name tag. It's unfortunate that this Walgreens is so terrible because it is the closest one to our house, and it is one of the few travel vaccines headquarters in the Naperville area. If you have to go here, I'd recommend going on a weekday during the day to avoid the rush because that was definitely part of the reason we had so many issues. read more

The worst place or the company to work for. Senior pharmacy technician are the biggest bullies. So disrespectful. They follow no rules at all. They yell at other technicians. They never help out with anything what so ever. Senior techs stay in a corner of the pharmacy staring at computers all day long and expect other techs to do everything. There is no work flow in this place. No one enforces that. Senior techs are favored like they are the Gods at that store. They also make so much drama and spread so much gossip. If they pick a tech they don't want working there they will make that persons life hell and management does nothing about it. Most of us conpalined to the store manager who listens but does nothing about it. Very horrible place to work for. You only get $11 an hour with so much negativity and so much drama. I went to the drive through to pick up prescriptions on a Thursday evening around 10:10pm pushed the call button and waited patiently. I could here the call button ringing through the glass but no one was in sight on answered the call After 5 minutes or so passed I pushed the call again looked at the customer in the drop off lane and we both shrugged our shoulders and put our hands up wondering where is the staff. Finally 1 women appeared from the back somewhere and then the pharmacist a man As if they were hiding something, perhaps disposing of a dead body or having sex they surely had enough time by the time the women answered the widow 10 minutes had passed then another women showed up mysteriously from nowhere 3 people on board and no one to work the counter or window.
