Customer service is horrible, was told meds was ready, go to pick up straight from hospital, lady says they can't read the script that was sent over, had to call hospital again, came BACK, after calling automated service and was told it wouldn't be ready for another several hours. This is a very convenient Walgreens open 24x7. I mainly use them for their photo lab because they are so fast with it! I use the Walgreens iphone app to send pictures, send pictures through Flickr, and also use their website directly. I've had pictures ready in as quickly as 30 minutes which is a lifesaver when you need something on a quick turnaround. Also, I know I'm not the only one aware but they do great business on holiday cards and they get them to you fast! I definitely appreciated that this year. read more

Possibly the slowest drive-through pharmacy ever. Waited over 40 minutes to get a prescription.

This pharmacy is what I imagine hell to be. They are slower than a disabled turtle. More incompetent than the current administration and frankly my dear, they don't see to give a damn. Don't tell customers their prescription will be ready at a specific time only to have them call to verify before heading out to be certain (and never get anyone to pick up the call for over an hour). So I arrive 30 mins AFTER it's suppose to be ready and wait in a line 7 people deep. Finally get to the counter and I'm told it will be another hour or more until it's ready. Meanwhile I don't live right around the corner and can't just run home and wait and stay with my sick girl taking care of her in the interim. So I'm stuck now with her sick and alone at home and in a hot car that's just running and burning gas while it's still 97° outside. The guy at the counter said they don't have staff to answer phones so then why the hell did I sit on hold as 2nd in line for over an hour if there was never any chance in hell I'd ever get a live person? If you can't have a prescription ready when it's promised and can't answer phones then YOU NEED to call the customers yourself and tell them it's going to be longer. Worst customer service ever and this "who gives two sh*ts about customer service" attitude that many businesses have these days is not gonna earn or keep my business. Meanwhile I'm in hells parking lot melting and waiting on my two prescriptions to be filled and at the mercy of some of the most incompetent people I've ever had to deal with. Have fun trying to get your prescriptions from here. Not only is it a 40 min wait regardless of drive through or walk in, but they won't even have your medication ready by the time you get helped. And god forbid you have birth control or hormonal pills, they'll give you hell for them and tell you it needs to be pre-authorized from your insurance (when it already has). I hear the same excuses from this pharmacy every time I go to pick up the most generic versions of medication. Save your time and go to CVS or Walmart. read more

My first time using this location... I must say it was an AWESOME experience. I called before going to the drive through to pick up my prescription and the young man that answered my call was pleasant and very helpful. When I went to pick up my prescription I didn't wait long just one car ahead of me and it was quick. I liked the service I received in the drive through. The attendant offered me a discount on my prescription. That helped out a lot. This store is ran by some caring people from my experience. read more

I received the best customer service today from Nick, the the Walgreens Pharmacist, located at Eldorado and Hardin. The Walgreens on East Stacy Rd in Allen totally botched a very important order and refused to fix it. I called my local Walgreens and Nick came to the rescue. His level of customer service and all that he did to take care of things was so refreshing and hugely appreciated. I'm transferring all my prescriptions there! read more

After waiting about 15 minutes in the pickup outside lane, the girl could not hear me nor could I hear her. After repeating and spelling my name three times, I had to repeat my date of birth 3 times also. After all that, she kept asking me something which I could not hear. I finally gave up and drove off. The women in the pharmacy are so rude, specifically the young woman with long dirty blonde hair. Each time I've gone in to get a prescription filled/picked up within the last few months she and this other woman have been incredibly rude and don't want to answer questions I have. I try to be very friendly and kind so it's rather insulting to be treated so poorly. I have called in though and spoken to a really nice man, hence the two stars. I've been coming to this pharmacy for years and due to the convenient location I probably won't change, it's just a shame that they use to have very nice and helpful employees working. read more

You see a drive thru and you think fast service.....The drive thru at the pharmacy is so slow that people waiting turn off their engines while waiting in line. I dread going there unless there are no cars waiting. I don't have any experience with any other drive thru pharmacies to compare them with. 20 minutes? Do they hire the workers from overqualified postal applicants. I know they are nice, but DAMN, could you possibly move much slower? Waiting in line for prescription with 11 other people, 1 cash register open. Have been waiting for 20 min. Waste of my time which is a waste of money. Had to cancel dinner plans with family because of how long. Will not be returning again for prescription. But I will say the clinic is fast and on time! So if you need a quick check up you can't beat it. Also the pharmacist did tell us about a coupon for our prescription, which made the wait not as bad but still made us cancel plans. Just make sure you have plenty of time to blow. read more

I will never return to this Walgreens and I would give a -5 star rating if that were possible. It took over 70 minutes in the pharmacy to pick up a prescription that my doctor's office had submitted electronically 30 minutes prior to my arrival at the pharmacy. I spent 30 minutes alone at the counter paying; the pharmacy tech and pharmacist both insisted I pay 2-1/2 times the Good Rx price because "their systems were down" and other ridiculous excuses, and store manager involvement was necessary to finally receive the Good Rx price. In sharing I spent 30 minutes at the counter trying to pay, the store manager shrugged his shoulders and simply said, "We're usually busy here."....... Incompetent and unprofessional doesn't begin to describe the magnitude of the issues at this Walgreens! read more

Would give negative starts. Called about prescription and had doctor call. App says it's ready for pickup, also doctors office said it should be aswell. Get there and wait 15 minutes in line. Finally get to the front and it's not ready.. Even though the app says it was. They then say they don't even have the medication.. Then it changes to they can give a multiple small vials instead of a big one. Then they are out of syringes. Then they find syringes. But now have to wait again to have it filled.. 45 minutes go by and waiting in line another 15 minutes. They magically have the big vial. Pay and go on my merry way.. No syringes in the bag. I guess hopes and dreams are supposed to get it in my body. Go back and wait in line again. Get syringes.. Over an hour later, i have my prescription which i was told was supposed to be ready... Then we could talk about the bathrooms i had to use since i had to wait so long. One stall the toilet was almost horizontal in the stall.. Closer inspection there is urine all over the seat and feces near the back.. Toilet paper all over the ground.. Ok, next stall.. Toilet paper parade on the floor again, urine on the seat, no toilet paper in the dispenser but don't fret, there is some resting on the back of the toilet seat. I'm better off squatting in the corner. The place would be no worse for wear. read more

The drive through appears to be understaffed because even with one car in front of mine, it takes between 15 and 20 minutes. There are two lanes like most pharmacies with a permanent sign reading "BOTH LANES OPEN" but the lane farther from the window that uses the rail-box to convey items has a traffic cone blocking the lane diverting drivers to the one window lane. If my insurer stopped preferring Walgreens I would switch to CVS up the street and never look back. read more

It's so sad because this store is so conveniently located to me. That VAST majority of the employees are fantastic but there is a big nasty man (who I recently found out was promoted to manager) that literally makes me want to quit shopping here. I have been a loyal customer for probably 8 years. I come in at least 3-4 times a week and my heart sinks when I walk in the door and see him. He is a large man with long dreadlocks. His pants hang so low that you can see several inches of his butt crack at all times. That's not even the issue.... He is BEYOND RUDE. Always has something nasty to say or a rude look to give. Doesn't acknowledge any customers. MULTIPLE times I have had to ask him to come ring up my items even though he clearly sees me waiting there to check out. He walks slower than my 100 year old grandma and doesn't give a crap about customer service or getting people checked out in a timely manner. I can't even put into words at how disappointed I am that this location has chosen to promote him. He should have been fired long ago based solely on his nasty attitude. The rating I am leaving pertains only to the pharmacy at this Walgreens. I have never in my life had an experience like I did last night at this pharmacy. Yesterday afternoon, I had my prescription sent over from my usual location to this Eldorado 24-hour location because I would not be able to pick up my prescription at my usual location before it closed at 6-and I really really needed it. I spoke on the phone to a technician from the Eldorado location who told me my prescription would be ready around 7:45pm. Upon arrival, I went through the drive through and waited about 25-30 minutes to get to the window (no big deal, they were very busy). Immediately, the technician was cold and dismissive, (again, they were busy, it was late, I was understanding). However, she proceeded to tell me that I could not pick up my prescription yet because my insurance said it was too soon to be picked up. I politely asked how could that be, because it was just fine at my usual location earlier the same day. She said "there's nothing I can do for you". I asked to speak to the pharmacist, who was an older asian man, not sure of his name (wish I knew). The pharmacist yelled at me, said "there's nothing I can do for you!" and slammed the phone indicating I needed to leave. I decided to park my car, and go inside to talk to them face to face since they were so bold in the drive through. I waited another 30-40 minutes in line inside before I was able to speak to a technician. This time, I spoke to Logan, who was an absolute angel. They listened to my situation, pulled up my profile, and resolved the issue within 30 seconds. I was able to get my prescription. I've never been treated so poorly by ANYONE, especially a medical professional! I was completely shocked by this experience. PLEASE, go elsewhere for your prescriptions. And Walgreens, if you ever see this, please rethink who you decide to hire. Your customers are people too. read more

I went to the drive through to pick up a Rx. It was a nightmare. It honestly feels like the guy working there is so miserable to be there that he wants to make everyone he encounters miserable and suffer as well. Once I got to the window it took about 35 minutes to process a basic pickup. The Rx was ready, but I had to explain to the worker that we needed needles to be able to administer the Rx. He asked "what size?". Not knowing exactly what size, I told him one is in pink package and one is a green package. "We need TWO of each of those please". He said they didn't color code the needles (There are literally stripes on the packages with color coded lines). This discussion of trying to explain the colors to him took a lot of time and energy. It was like trying to explain colors to a blind man. When this conversation was finished he only sent ONE set of each needle, one pink and one green, instead of TWO. So instead of driving off I had to push the button to ask for the additional needles, which started the process over. Then he said I had to pay $0.50 for each needle. Why not tell me that the first time? Why make it an additional 10 minute transaction? Honestly, what has happened to efficiency? What has happened to a good attitude at work? How is this tolerated by management? Am I a fossil for believing this is just bad business? read more

I know that with the different pressures on the national health system, there are some things that are bound to fall through the cracks. I would normally call my Primary Care Physician for a sudden illness, but because of recent changes to my health care plan at work, this was a little more convenient. The staff was pleasant enough, but I got the feeling their major function was to cross-sell expensive homeopathic remedies in the stores aisles. I got tested for the flu (didn't have it, but didn't think I would, either). Asked for something for a lingering cough that would likely become bronchitis in a day or two, and was told to buy zinc lozenges. Spent $65 on homeopathic stuff, which tasted great, but didn't seem to impact my illness in the least. Twenty-four hours later, I was diagnosed with pneumonia. read more

The employees at this pharmacy are inept. There is always a long line inside or in the drive thru and never enough people working! My 72 year old mother sat in the drive through for 30 minutes. When it was her turn they tried to charge her over $200 for medications that are normally less than $15 total (prescriptions they have filled for 2 1/2 years mind you). Their excuse was they hadn't run it through her Medicare insurance yet. Duh? Isn't that their job? She has left several messages for the pharmacy manager who has never cared to call her back. We have never had this trouble with any other Walgreens! Just this one. read more

Called the pharmacy before driving 20 miles out of my way and waste all that gasoline. Then to verify quantity of medication my family were written. The tech was RUDE, I asked for the pharmacist, and he tried to refuse. The tech finally lets me talk to the pharmacist, she verifies the stock of quantity and medication. I drive the 20 miles out of my way, spend 30 mins due to someone wanting "needles" non prescription then I am waiting another 15 mins for the slow tech to look up my family info and scanning in prescriptions. Then wait another 30 mins for her to come back to say they have to verify the prescription. So I try to tell her how to reach the physician and she said, " I cannot go off a text from a doctor " I never asked for her to. I was trying to reach the physician so she could call the physician and get what she needed. She was so rude to the point i rather suffer the night than deal with incompetence. Pretty sad. I cannot STAND WALGREENS. AND THE MEDICATION efficacy IS HORRIBLE.. read more

I arrived a few minutes late to my 10:30am clinic appointment. (Which, yes, is completely my fault, but let's face it: Most clinics run drastically behind schedule.) The computer refused to check me in, stating that I had "missed my check-in window." The next available appointment was at 3:30pm. Both office doors were closed and there was no response from either nurse on duty. Discouraged, I immediately called the customer service number at the kiosk, where I sat on hold for 20 minutes. Meanwhile I asked the employees in the pharmacy if there was any way I could speak to one of the nurses. I was told that the pharmacy was not affiliated with the clinic. Finally one of the office doors opened and I was able to flag down one of the nurses. I was told that I was deemed a "no show" when I didn't check-in PRIOR to my appointment time. (So yes, even if I had arrived exactly on time, they would have marked me as a "no show." I've never heard of a doctors office requiring you to be EARLY to an appointment. Certainly if I had received any advance notice of this policy, I'd have ensured I was there early.) They told me that I could sit and wait, but there was no guarantee I'd be seen anytime soon. Meanwhile I was STILL on hold with customer service. Disgusted, I left and drove a few miles up the road to MedPost, where I was seen almost immediately. I would not recommend Walgreens clinic to anyone. While I am unable to speak for the quality of their medical care, their customer service was non-existent and certainly unacceptable for a place that handles sick and upset people regularly. read more
