Terrible service at this location (511 E Marshall Avenue, Longview, Texas). I arrived at 1pm to a packed drive thru, which is normal since they are right by a local hospital. Waited in line for half an hour. When I finally got up to the window the woman pulled down the shade and told me they were closing for lunch since it was 1:30. First, it was not 1:30 yet (my phone showed 1:28), and second you should take care of those waiting before you close for lunch. I pointed out to her that I had been waiting in line for half an hour. She just repeated her statement and left. I pulled around, went inside to speak with the manager about the poor customer service I just received. There was nobody at the front of the store. Ended up having to go to the photo center. The only person who had good customer service apologized and went to get a manager. She came back with a man who I am not sure was the manager since his tag only had a name. No help on his part either, as he just said they go to lunch at 1:30 and they had no control over the pharmacy. I asked how he would feel if he waited in line for half an hour and had that happen. He responded he would probably be mad too. I asked if there was someone above him I could speak with. He gave me the 1800 Walgreens number. I called the number and was placed on hold by the automated system. After waiting for 50 minutes to speak with someone it disconnected my call. Been a customer at this location since it opened. This is not the first time I have received this low level of customer service at this location, but this will be the last time as I will take my business elsewhere. Doubt Walgreens even cares since this is the level of customer service they seem to be OK with. Just terrible at every level. read more

Kilgore Walgreens pharmacy is the worst I have experienced in my many years of dealing with being a Walgreens client. My doctors have had to repeatedly call them with scripts for which they say they did not receive. I put in for refills days before I am out and they will still have me go days without medication before having it ready. Inexcusable for an organ transplant recipient patient! I don't know if the problem lies with management or what, but I know of a number of clients switching pharmacies because of their poor practices. read more

This is a great Walgreens and very well managed. Went in for a passport photo while on lunch and they had me wrapped in 15 minutes flat

Great location with friendly staff. I'm from Houston, and needed to fill a prescription while visiting family. I wish the Pharmacies we have in the city could offer this level of customer service. The team here is small, so you may encounter a wait--but this is true of all pharmacies during these busy times. Even though it was only a 3-5 minutes wait while the team assisted customers before me, they showed great empathy by communicating and acknowledging me. Great sign of a kind and well trained staff. Even the store cashiers were nice, and greeted everyone who came in with a sort of friendliness you just don't find other places. read more

Love this Walgreens. As soon as you walk in you're greeted by every staff member who sees you. Especially the pharmacy. I went in to pick up a prescription and when the clerk saw my insurance wasn't in there she hooked this vet up and fixed it. It was a huge difference in price. Unfortunately I didn't get her name but she was the nice blonde with a pretty accent that helped me about 1015 am today. Thank you so much!! read more

This Walgreens has the worst pharmacy I have ever dealt with. I have been trying to get a prescription refill for seven days. My doctor told me to call and find out what number they are faxing it too. Their response was they don't know what the number is they just put in a name. They are very uncaring, I have been with medicine for seven days now trying to have patience with them. Today was the last straw, I will be taking all my prescriptions somewhere else. If you are looking for a pharmacy, do not use them. This happens to me every month. I am done. read more

I love this Walgreens. I've been meaning to write this for a while on mannny occasions because the employees at this store have earned 5 stars multiple times. I have to commend the day and night managers along with all the other 24hr staff that constantly make me feel welcome and familiar when I come in for "one" thing. I live close to this location so I visit more than 1x/day usually and each time I go in I am promptly greeted, helped with a smile and checked out efficiently. When the store is busier than usual the employees always observe the rush and quickly open up other check out lines or the register in the makeup department. Most pharmacy lines at other drugstores are ususally long and tension filled but the pharm techs are surprisingly pleasant. They even helped me activate the "discount" card my doctor had given to save $$ on my prescription when I cldnt get it to work at check out.Despite the heavy traffic this WGs has because it is directly across from hospital, the staff here manages to be genuinely helpful to each customer. The two female managers on varying shifts are notably friendly and speak to you so that you feel right at home. I've been in many Walgreens after living in many states but I can honestly say after buying a house and moving back home to Longview, TX, it is always a pleasure to visit my local WGs. I'm guilty of spending more money in this store because it is simply a nicer environment to shop in after a long day of the mundane 9 to 5 hustle and bustle. Thanks Walgreens! read more
