Wow, I stuck this out for a year hoping things would get better and they only get worse. RX's often out of stock, seems seldom they are filled by date promised. Being shorted on RX amounts. I tried to manipulate this by ordering early, even before my insurance would pay so RX's would be in on time. Still, many were often late, and I've had several times I've just had to go without my RX's for a couple days. I believe most of the employees are good people. It seems to be the Walgreens RX company. They don't seem to support their employees and provide them with products to support the demand. Cold and flu season I know but I had these same problems before. They don't seem to provide them with enough employees to support the operations. The lines seem to be uncommonly long both through the drive-thru and inside at the pharmacy. You can easily wait 30-40 minutes in either line trying to pick up RX's. Furthermore, it's highly probable if you have multiple scripts to pick up, some will be ordered and unavailable for pickup. Case and point, just last night while seated waiting to see if the pharmacist was able to fill two important RX's I was promised the day before, I watched 7 customers come to the counter. 6 of the 7 did not receive all their RX's and were told they would have to come back when they had more in. These were not just cold/flu related medications. To top that off, there is no HIPPA compliancy. I was able to hear every conversation with customers and if the people in store that were in line were paying attention, they could hear the conversations as well. I can tell you what woman picked up her Valtrex RX. That is a herpes medication which I am sure the lady didn't want everyone to know what she was getting. Another gentleman picked up, among other medications, his Sildenafil script to help with erectile disfunction issues. Again, I am sure the gentleman didn't care for that to be common knowledge. Out of all the customers at the counter picking up, there was only one customer that I didn't hear, at least the name of one of the scripts they were picking up. This is a shame. The poor employees are inundated with upset customers. You take that day-in, day-out and it will jade even some of the best natured employees. Watch just a little bit and you will easily see the toxic work environment employees are enduring. I'd further comment on the negative comments employees make about the company they work for, but I don't care to risk their livelihood. I am going to leave with this: last night I wrote a sincere letter to Walgreens explaining why I had made the decision to move my scripts elsewhere. I explained to them the issues, filled out their form correctly and wished them success in solving their problems and becoming a decent company again. Around 4:45 am I received an AI generated response telling me how important I was but that they couldn't help me because I didn't submit two required pieces of information. I replied and explained that I did include that information. Did I ever get a response from something other than a problematic and inaccurate AI bot? Nope. I am done with Walgreens, and you should be too unless you care to risk like type experiences. read more

if you need a prescription filled before 3 days do NOT go here. my dr called in tama flu and a cough medicine on Tuesday am. the tama flu took more than 24 hours to get filled and I am still caughing my head off and my cough meds are still not ready. It's been a few months since my last review of this place, and I thought I would provide an update of my experiences there. I'm sorry to say that the quality of service at this Walgreens is even worse than before. I've been to many, many pharmacies in the past few years, and the apathy and indifference at this place has exceeded my wildest nightmares. For example, they are routinely out of stock for many common medications. The latest policy seems to be to fill just a few day's worth of meds, forcing you to return in less than a week to try to get the remainder of the Rx. If you are silly enough to try using the Walgreens app to see if the scrip is ready, it will likely say (for several DAYS in a row) that it is "in process". Mistake #2 would be to try to phone the pharmacy to check on its status. You will wade through a lengthy phone tree to ultimately be told that there are "X" number of callers ahead of you, followed by intermittent renditions of 1970's-style elevator music. I once waited on this phone torture test for 35 minutes, before I threw in the towel. During this time, I foolishly thought that I would actually get to speak with a live person, since the dumb recording said that THERE WAS ONE CALLER AHEAD OF ME! I seriously doubt the pharmacy was talking to only one person for 35 minutes... but I guess it could be true. I decided to go to the pharmacy in person, hoping I could get someone to fill my Rx. I decided to return to the pharmacy on the day AFTER the pharmacist said my scrip would be ready. HA!!! The joke's on me! After waiting in the L-O-N-G line inside the store for 35 minutes (12 people in line ahead of me), I was told by the indifferent pharmacy tech that my one scrip was not ready, and it would be 45 minutes to an hour before it was. I said I would wait. My concerns grew when I heard the same tech tell several other people the same thing: up to an hour wait for each person. So... in about an hour we would likely see a flurry of activity! I could go on forever, but you get the idea. The customer "no-service" sucks here. I had to go here twice on 2/24/23 and again on 2/25/23 to get all my prescriptions, and when I went the last time they couldn't find my prescription. It took 10 minutes of 4 people looking for it, and the rude woman at the counter never apologized for the delay and was rude as hell. She literally barely spoke the threw my med in a bag and threw it at me. So you're mad because y'all suck?!? Changing pharmacies. I wasn't there for pain or anxiety rx... it was for my damn bp med after I was discharged from neuro icu. 1 star is too generous. read more

If I could do zero stars, I would. I needed them to transfer a prescription to another pharmacy. I was told the next day by the other store that they were told by Walgreens that that didn't have my prescription. I was on hold for a good hour to even talk to them, I just ended up calling my clinic for a faster service. read more

I just got out of the hospital and took a prescription in, was told they couldn't fill it for 24 hours due to 360 prescriptions needing to be filled and to come back the next day!!! Really??? Out of the hospital and couldn't get it!!!! Well, my husband left it. He went back today AND they said they didn't have my prescriptions!!!!!! Could not find them!!!! What??? Are you kidding me???? Then, two weeks ago I had a prescription filled there AND they didn't have any of my insurance on file! What is wrong with these people!!!! Incompetence! This is one screwed up pharmacy!!!! It was well kept in the store. However, I won't be back. I went in to purchase foundation. There was a worker sitting down on a stool and recovering a section near the front. .Usually someone greets me at every Walgreens I go into, regardless of if they are checking customers out or working in their sections. I just went over to the makeup section because I needed to know if they carried the product I was looking for. L'oreal N8 foundation- Cappuccino. No one else was in the section with or around me. I'm not a makeup person, so it takes a while to look at things to make my decision. I did find my color- but I was browsing to find another brand that was the Same shade. I pick one up and begin walking toward the hair products aisle because they were having a BOGO sale on some hair care products. Over the speaker, there's the announcement "customer service needed in cosmetics." I look around and at the mirrors to see if someone else was around that may have called for help- because I surely didn't call. No one was around the cosmetics section but me. It irritated me because I thought that someone was being called over there not to help- but to watch. I do carry a bag on my shoulder - so maybe they assumed I would shoplift. If they truly thought I needed assistance, I would've thought that they would've simply came over to help- without the intercom announcement. I thought about it some more, and decided that I would leave. I put the overpriced makeup back and left to go to Walmart. It was $2 + cheaper at Walmart. And I won't go back to this location. If you see someone who needs help at your store- WALK over to them and help them. read more

I have to brag on the new Pharmacist at this location, his name is Hunter. One of my daughters had an emergency while we were in the store, he came to our aid and stayed with us to make sure she was okay. He even went so far as to call and check on her a couple of days later! His help was greatly appreciated. Always nice to give recognition to someone that goes above and beyond!! read more

I moved my prescriptions to this Walgreen's because of new insurance. After numerous attempts to find out whether my prescription had been received from my doctor, I was told at 10PM in the evening that the doctor had never sent the prescription. However, I had contacted the Walgreen's on Hwy 80 and spoke with a pharmacist named Deana. She informed me that according to their computer system, the Walgreen's on the Loop had receive the prescription earlier that day; however they were out of my medication. This medication is literally life or death for me-I am a diabetic and this was my insulin. Both pharmacists at both locations were well aware of my situation; yet only the Walgreens on Hwy 80 was interested in telling me the truth and helping me. The Hwy 80 pharmacy filled my prescription in 5 minutes-I have since transferred all my prescriptions and my husband's to the Walgreens on Hwy 80, even though it is a long way out of my way. read more

Ok yeah changing my first review if I could I would give them 000000000000 stars!!!!! Omygosh if they don't just close down out of the blue for deep cleaning. Which is a bunch of crock!! We are having snow and ice out side yes the roads are bad but drivable I did it a lot. My doctor called or emailed how ever they do it now days my medications in on Tuesday the 16 of February!!!!! Well I'm out of my medications now like out!!!! I'm not supposed to run out of my medications. My body will go into withdrawals and I could possibly start having a seizure and my third medication is well to put me to sleep because my chronic pain will not let me get more than a hours time of sleep So pain meds seizure meds and sleep meds. Been out completely y'all!!! Because they didn't want to open the pharmacy at all because of weather. The damn beer stores are open non stop!!! McDonald's and sonic or even open!!! But a place where people have to get stuff to keep them alive can't open for at least one day to get people their medications that cannot be sent to another pharmacy because of it being a controlled substance is bullshit!!!! Whenever I can and however I can I will find another pharmacy that actually cares about their customers and their customers well-being then Walgreens on the Loop 281. This pharmacy is the worst. I have spent a cumulative 35 minutes on hold on the phone today trying to call in a new prescription. It was never accomplished. Heard a human voice twice on 4 calls and each time that voice just put me right back on hold. I suppose if you need a chocolate bar or an overpriced deodorant, Walgreens is your place. If you actually need a pharmacy, you are out of luck. I'd recommend ANY pharmacy over Walgreens at this point. read more

WORD...If you use they're pharmacy, get ready to be agitated and frustrated. As said in other posts, you can use a whole gallon of gas just idling in line. Then a lot of times they have only one line open. The employee's are never the same. They must have a heck of a employee turnover. Going inside to pick up your prescription is just as bad. Has to be one of the slowest drive thru prescription pick up places on the planet. Unless you get there with no more than 2 cars in front of you, you will be there for 20-30 minutes minimum. The pharmacy department has drastically declined in quality and efficiency!! For the third time in a row, I have gone to get my medication (that I have been taking for at least 10yrs) and they have charged me for 30 pills and only gave me 15. I have to wait for them to call corporate so they can get permission to give me the pills I have already paid for and my insurance has already paid for. It's ridiculous how irresponsible this pharmacy has become!! Plus their computer system kicked this same prescription out. So I had to wait for them to call my doctor and have her resend the prescription even though I had 5 refills left. Goodbye, Walgreens, I am finished with your incompetent system and workers! read more
