Clean, organized store environment and when I was checking out, Lizz offered me the online coupon for one of my purchases purely out of the kindness of her heart, and THEN when I didn't see the expiration date on an in-store deal for lip balms, Kayleigh the manager still honored it since the sign was still on display. I recently moved to the Longview area and was desperately trying to find someone to cut my curly hair. I am very distrustful whenever it comes to my curls because I have rarely found someone that cuts it how I like it. I called Ulta and asked if they had anyone that cuts curly hair and they had one stylist. Her name is Shelby and she is absolutely amazing as well as DevaCurl certified. She was very sweet and knowledgeable. She has very soft hands and is a wizard with curls. I have only had one other cut this good in my life and I am so excited to say that I will be a regular of hers from now. Everyone, please go to Shelby at Ulta for all of your curly hair needs! Worst Ulta!! If you don't know exactly what to get when go here, don't go. I have been numerous times with the same results. This last visit will be my last visit to the Longview location. I went for new foundation, so I needed to be color matched. THREE employees stood nearby visiting with each other, one was even putting on makeup. I proceeded to help myself, they didn't even realize they had customers. I wasn't the only customer who they ignored, another lady was trying foundation on by the window. Directly in front of them, they didn't even see it. From now on I'll go to the other beauty store in Longview or go to an Ulta at a different location. Ridiculous!!!!!! read more

Purchased cosmetic items, but when I went to the front register, they asked for my phone number which I did not want to give and I did not want their rewards card. The cashier, Nathaney, told me since I did not want to give my phone number that my purchase was non-refundable. After making the purchase, I read the back of the receipt that did not say I had to use a reward card. So I went back inside to tell the cashier that she was incorrect on the return policy. She seemed extremely irritated and told me even if I come back with a receipt for a return that they're just going to make me open a reward account anyway to get my money. I don't know if she gets bonus points for signing up people for reward cards but I do not appreciate being lied to or bullied to try to have a reward card. I called corporate to file a complaint, but I had to ask them to open a ticket of complaint. Customer service is really lacking in this company. In the future, I will not return to an Ulta store I will buy my cosmetics from Nordstrom's who by the way ships your items free. read more

Why is everyone so rude who works in this particular store? It's like everyone has an attitude the minute you walk in. I did not feel Like a welcomed customer, more like a nuisance for just being there. The salon lady was rude, the woman who answered the phone sighed so loudly When I asked about a return. Maybe you should reconsider who you hire, last time I checked Sephora is ahead of you. Won't be coming back until there is an attitude adjustment, which Is painfully overdue. read more

I got my hair cut for the first time in over a year. It was much needed. I have previously been traumatized by some awful chop job bangs and am so fearful now of any one cutting my hair. I called on a whim and got a girl named Mary and she was great!! She took her time and did a great job. Helped me decide what would look best on me and would work for my life style! The price was great! I was so worried w a shampoo cut and blow dry and some products in my hair I would be in the $60 range.....no I paid $27 that is with a discounted rate for first time but it was only like $36 to begin with!!!! So I was very pleased! I have scheduled my mom with her and will update my review after that! Also they keep cutting hair up until they close at 9!!!! How awesome! I can make it after work! Which has been part of my long hair cut waiting! It's to hard to book an apt while working retail hours and ultas hrs really help a gal out!!!! read more

Unfortunately they are always out of stock of the things my wife needs. We just drove 30 minutes to get her stuff and they had poor service. They didn't know how to answer simple questions about makeup. They didn't really know information about the products they are selling. The employees are kind of rude. I thought they would be able to redirect my wife to a different brand since they are out of stock, but they were clueless. I don't think she's ever gone there and gotten what she's needed. read more

I went to the store to buy my hair product. The girl who waited on me at the register said it was on sale buy 2 get 2. I explained that I was on a time crunch and asked when the sale would end. She said tomorrow at the earliest and possibly a week but to bring my receipt for credit for 1 product. After making the trip the next day in the heat I was told the sale was over yesterday. I wish they would all get on the same page! Train your employees for goodness sake! Not only did they miss a $200+ sale but they've lost a customer. This review is for Maria. I had written a small list on my phone of perfumes I wanted to purchase. The idea of getting travel sized fit my interest instead of investing in the big bottles in case their staying power isn't strong. I go to the perfume section today to check out Versace Dylan blue. I see one left, with the box open. I pull it out of the box to see if the bottle is completely full or used. I am standing near the tester, also making sure what I smelled is parfum and not toilette because that's what the travel sized was. When this lady with glasses and short hair approaches me. She asks if I need help with anything and I say no. As my mom sees a second box of the travel spray and hands me that instead because it appeared to be unopened, with the corner of my eye I see this woman staring at us. Okay I thought whatever. There was no traffic around us and the more I stood there I just got a horrible vibe from her. While my mom is talking to me I look at this lady as shes just standing there. I guess her way of pretending to be busy is to stand still while holding onto a perfume kit. She was looking at me wide eyed like I'm commiting a crime. I let it go at first but when I looked again, there she was staring at me. This made me insanely uncomfortable. I say are you serious? And she replies I'm just doing my job let me know if you need help. LOL. There was no mess, nothing to clean up or attend to. She was specifically there to watch me. I tried my best to ignore her stares but she kept following me. Even when I went around the perfumes to check for another brand, she immediately left the center of the perfume area. And when I went back to the center she comes back to me. I've never been so frustrated shopping anywhere. This is the first review I ever posted online. I don't like to address specific people like this because people have to feed their families and work a 9-5 job like the rest of us. But the fact that you went out your way to make me feel awful. To make me feel like I'm a theif. It's so unfair to do that to customers. I felt so unwelcomed from her. I don't need someone to jump for joy when I walk in a store. I am no more special then the next customer but at least let me shop. It's perfume, you have to smell the notes, compare it to other perfumes. My god. If you have to monitor all your customers like this to ensure nobody is stealing then at least do it from a tasteful distance. I did not come in that store to steal. I did not come in that store to feel uncomfortable as you made me feel. This was a horrible experience and the way you went about it was totally wrong. I have never had such a negative shopping experience in my life. This particular visit I had planned to get a gift for my mother's birthday. Although it is very unusual for a 20 year old woman to be in the Strivectin/ Perricone MD section of the store, I was. When I arrived strolled around for while to see if there was a product that I felt the need to buy for myself. After about 20 minutes of that I walked to the back area where you might call the "older women" products were located. After being in this section for a short 5 minutes, an older lady (I would assume the manager) asked me if I needed and help finding anything. Like before when I was asked if I needed help, I replied with "No thank you" or "No ma'am". This women then told me that the product I was looking at was for "dry skin" and indirectly implied in a derogatory manner that I should not be in that particular section. This not only made me feel unwelcome in the store but targeted as a customer. I soon noticed the older woman, out of the corner of my eye, talking to an associate while looking directly at me as if she were talking about me. As I gave up my search and felt much more uneasy, I made my way the front with at least 4 associate watching me. I'm not sure if the woman thought I would steal the product that was obviously not meant for me but she definitely made me feel uncomfortable enough as a customer to exit the store. Not to mention as I opened the door to leave not a single person said "have a nice day" or anything. I will NEVER shop at that particular store again. Onto Sephora I go. read more
