The woman who helped me via phone at this location was so nice, helpful and compassionate. I am very sick and was near tears and I really appreciate her going above and beyond to help me receive the medications I need. This store is so close to home. I come here when I need to easily run in for random household items. Today we arrived at around 8:30p to take our passport photos. For $16.99 you 2 color photos of 2x2 headshots. The employee was quick and friendly. She took photos of me, my teenager, and my 3 smaller kids. One of my kids tilted his head a bit too much so when his photo was run through their software it didn't pass the test to be accepted. She was kind enough to take his photo again to ensure it was valid. She told me printing it will take 20-30 min. During that time we left to pickup dinner and came right back. Horrible experience with pharmacy telling me that " we don't take VA insurance" when their store is listed on the VA website as accepting VA insurance. Young Caucasian girl who was completely clueless at best- hard to argue with anyone when fighting off Covid -19. I can't even give this Walgreens a star.. I waited 40 mins at the drive up window before anyone ever greeted me.. I was informed by their auto texting system that my prescription was ready so I drove all the way over to that location because it was for an eye drop and I was in excruciating pain.. I had also called around to see if I could find it at any other pharmacies and Albertsons said they had it.. Actually they didn't really have it but they could order it for tomorrow .. I had already gone 36 hours w/weepy eye and terrible pain so getting my script filled was pretty important for me .. there was a lot of confusion because of me receiving the text messages saying that my script was ready to be picked up at Walgreens Rainbow so I drive over .. not only were they completely ignoring me for the first 20 minutes I sat at the window, they asked me to drive around and wait while they did some processing since Albertsons put my script thru on their end and it screwed up everything which I understand but now since there's others waiting only by this time behind me for maybe 5-10 minutes I need to wait They treated me like absolute crap and made me feel others behind me were more important than I even tho I waited my turn patiently by this time I am super mad, I'm pain and trying not to look into the sun.. and they threatened to call 911 cuz I said I'd prefer to wait here for my script cuz it's really my turn at the window Super petty Walgreens for the most part has zero bed side manner or concern for their customers.. I have been a customer of theirs for over 40 years.. and if you look at my phone number Acct and see the money I have spent there I really don't think I deserve to be threatened after waiting for my turn to be taken care of.. I am in here all the time and I have to say that I was helped today by one of the friendliest Walgreens employees I have ever encountered! This was a big guy with a red shirt that was working around 5 pm today (big built, not big fat :P). I was wandering around the store looking for a few items and quite sure I looked confused, so instead of ignoring me, he came up and helped me find what I was looking for. I had another issue at the register as it relates to my points card and when the cashier wasn't sure how to correct it, he came right up and resolved the situation in a jiffy! Super nice guy who provided excellent service! Bumping it up a star based on that guy alone! Plus the crew at the pharmacy is usually really good too! I love when I make a quick run to Walgreens and immediately see two employees screaming at eachother from across the store and ignoring customers. Calling eachother names, slamming things around, even getting on the intercom to continue the fight. One of the employees even started badmouthing the company and merchandise in front of the whole store. A full line of customers and neither employee seems to care. Even better? I stopped by the cosmetics section and couldn't find anything because it was full of broken and open merchandise and completely disorganized. Never shopping at this location again. This is super convenient since I travel quite often. - They also offer membership points which will let you accumulate points for discounts and coupons. - They also allow you to put your payment on the account. So if you forgot to bring some cash or your wallet you can ask them to charge it on the account. Cons: - Even after you have refilled your prescription online and received your confirmation it's ready for pick up, expect to wait another 30 minutes to get it. Wow. Upon leaving the store today, a homeless man approached me with a bit of an aggressive demeanor. It made me feel uncomfortable enough to where I decided to go back into the entrance of the store. He basically was in the way and I couldn't get to my car without having to interact with him and he was making remarks. When I went out again he was still there so I asked the cashier, Mercedes, what they do in these situations (as I have seen in the past homeless people at the front of drug stores). The way she handled it was rather disturbing. She was rude and basically asked what I wanted to be done about it. I stated that I wasn't sure however it was on their property so I wasn't sure if she needed to call the police or something or if they have a policy for this type of situation. She then sarcastically called her manager to at which that point I checked outside again and luckily the man had made his way to the other parking lot. It should be quite an embarrassment for this store and Walgrees as a corporation to have a team member handle a customers safety in that manner. Nonetheless, a liability. This happened multiple times which makes me believe that they work really slow at the drive thru however if you went inside it wouldn't take that long. I cam from urgent care to pick up my much urgent / needed prescription at this location for the first time , but my experience was unfortunately anything but pleasant. I had heard bad stories about the pharmacy but I thought I'll give them the benefit of the doubt since I was never there myself personally to judge. Upon arrival in the pharmacy there was one person in front of me for drop off, I waited a bit but then I sat down since I was not feeling well but I thought the clerk or pharmacy tech since we made eye contact would know I am next but someone came in line and she didn't even bother asking if I was next or if I needed anything, that was the first initial bad customer service encounter I go back to pick up my medication 1 hour later and I didn't make a big deal about the first encounter and I waited in line this time to make sure they know I was next. Apparently Walgreens registers up front had issues which is understandable, things happen, however, The manager or the assistant manager of the store (not sure about her title) goes ahead and bring customers to the pharmacy register to pay for their items ( one customer was buying cigarettes etc) again in front of me, even though I was there before them without any sort of explanation about what is even going on. That was the second bad experience in the same day Now here is the main issue with me, everyone else can judge for themselves..so apparently it is more important for customers to get their cigarettes before customers That are there to pick up their prescription at the PHARMACY COUNTER!!! Just unbelievable to me. I had a talk with the manager respectfully and her response was we are not just a pharmacy and we are sorry but other customers need to pay for their items as well since front registers are not working. I guess it is more important to Walgreens that they don't lose 1 hour of profit than people that are actually there to pick up their much needed prescription. I suppose someone could have an emergency hypertensive crisis , panic attack, serious asthma attack, but guess what that's not a concern to them since it is more important that somebody gets their cigarettes before some body gets their medicine.
