What's going on guys? Been a long time customer for 2 years. I love the staff and security team and has been a pleasant experience at most. Looks like one of your new managers was following me and sent a security team while checking out. I am a pleasant person with a chill demeanor. Not sure what her issue was. I take my son there he has special needs and on the weekend he loves to either pick out his fav toy or snack. So I stopped in at 5 am (yes, they were open) and got some anti acids. I also spotted some eye drops so I picked that up too. I was in and out in about 5 min, I like that! Conveniently located on Fremont street experience this store is very busy and always has a line. There are never enough workers so the line doesn't go very fast. This Walgreens is not that big but carries the necessities - good to be able to grab water and snacks at a fraction of the cost from casinos so I load up and keep water in room fridge. read more

I wanted some water and my boyfriend wanted some qtips so we stopped by here when we were staying downtown this trip. Prices are fair and the location is very convenient if you're staying downtown. The water I had bought earlier I had already gone through. Before heading back to my room I decided to get more. I came in here and headed straight to the cooler. Their selection was picked over and I ended up with a brand I had never heard of before. The line in here took forever, not sure exactly what was going on just to make it to the front of the line, but it wasn't what I was expecting. When I finally got to the register, I then understood. The lady that checked me out had this uncanny ability to strike up a conversation with you and then draw you into a deeper conversation. Making you almost forget that there was anyone else in line behind you. If you're not careful you would find yourself almost becoming best friends with this lady. So your staying downtown and forgot your toothbrush. No problem - Walgreens to the rescue. Your living it up at one of the fine downtown hotels and realize you forgot something. Toothbrush, bathing suite, chap stick... a hat or sunglasses... do not fear - a quick journey here and you will get what you need and more. While your in you probably want to stock up on some water and a bunch of other things. No use paying $8 for a bottle of water in your hotel with this so convenient. This store is on the opposite side of the Plaza and just at the end of the FSE. Usually some interesting characters come in and hang around. Cashiers move things along always surprisingly fast. There are so many different places to buy convenience items in downtown and I think that is part of what makes staying there more enjoyable. ABC would be the biggest competitor - they have more Hawaiian themed things. read more

I came in here to get cash back on two separate items. A soda and a bottle of water. The lines go by fast & the refrigerator section was right by the registers. My Only caveat is that there are no single mini cans in the fridge and even smaller sized bottles of water. Prices are not cheap because it is in a tourist trap aside from the Strip. This Walgreens is just ok. I think Walgreens in general is just ok. I needed some toothpaste and my bf forgot his comb, so since this Walgreens is the only store in the Fremont area with toiletry things. The store is very hard to miss since it's on the end of the Fremont street. I'm sure during normal times there is plenty of foot traffic. I found it really hard to find things even though the store is so small. They have chips, snacks, candy, drinks, health supplies like Tylenol and bandaids, hair accessories, oral health things like toothpaste, nail care things, all the travel sized toiletries, etc. If you forgot your toothbrush, this is the place to go. I was surprised that they don't carry alcohol. Or maybe I missed it? There are plenty of other options in the area for that though. read more

The presence of a security guard at the entrance provided a sense of safety. The variety of people around was interesting to see. The store was impeccably clean, and everything was well-stocked. Was semi grateful to see Walgreens but damn. I walk in and a woman with 4 small kids is in line and she doesn't even try to control them. I say excuse me three times and the kids still wouldn't move. Finally when I excuse me loud she asks if I have something wrong with me, your employees just LAUGH AT ME as if I'm in the wrong and the woman threatens me and all your stupid workers did was laugh at me like I'm in the wrong. I love this Walgreens! I went in searching for some personal female items and the shift lead Jerika was such a sweet and helpful young lady. I was walking around a group of people she was helping and she immediately turned and asked if I needed assistance when she was finished helping them. Downtown needs more workers like that! Thank you all so much for a great experience!! I will definitely be back and hopefully I get to see this ray of sunshine again! They also had some convenient fairly priced ready to eat deli items that saved me the extra trip. If you need anything at any time of day I suggest giving them a visit. Ps . I have gone to this Walgreens numerous times for sundries when I am in Downtown Las Vegas. Today I attempted to get a Passport Photo taken, and had an absolutely horrible experience. It is 8 in the morning so I get perhaps folks are not necessarily ready for a photo request, but since I was in Walgreens figured I would try. The first lady I spoke to seemed somewhat put out that I asked, and then under her breath said "Aian't nobody going to use my phone for a Passport Photo". This caught me of guard as I had my phone in my hand, and did not ask to use anyone's equipment just their background as it is required. She proceeded to call her manager who came out who said she would need to get someone else to take the photo, and proceeded to leave to get someone. This to me was somewhat confusing as I have seen it done before, and simply you take a photo in front of a screen, and use their photo software to print it out. When the manager came back she advised that they no longer do Passport Photos, and they accidentally did one recently in error. I am not sure how the manager would have just found this out. I find this hard to believe, and really got the sense they just had zero desire for whatever reason to assist me this morning. If this is thier new protocol they need to work with corporate to get their website updated that they no longer offer this service. I would also advised their employees who are working in a tourist corridor of our city to perhaps be a bit more friendly. As I genuinely don't understand why I received the tone and service that I did. read more

Nothing special about this walgreens. Convenient because it's right by our hotel and needed some small things we forgot. A lot of small basic items were locked up and need to wait for an associate to unlock it for you. I'm guessing it's due to all the homeless around. read more

Oh Walgreens, what would I have done with out you? So, the night before (more like the morning of) our trip I was desperately searching for my nail polish I had bought specifically for this trip. Well I couldn't find it but figured I'd get some when I got to Vegas. Well, thank goodness my boyfriend and his friend stumbled upon you while they were strolling the Fremont Experience. After my long sleep, my boyfriend took me here and I immediately bolted for the nail polish. Sadly, they don't carry all the nail polish brands, but the one I recognized and actually liked, was only 1.99 here! Super happy about that! Then, we came back several times more because the stuff we needed cost soooo much more at our hotel than here. After paying $3+ for a 16 oz. cup of lemonade (mostly filled up with ice), I went and bought a gallon of lemonade for only $2.50 and lasted me till the end of my trip. So note to self folks, if you want just a soda, or any kind of mixer or for you who don't drink, come here, get your drinks and just get a cup (can find several plastic cup stations in front of casinos (since you cannot have glassware out in the public areas of Fremont) and get ice from your hotel, or better yet purchase a reusable cup with lid and tote that around with you! I would totally come back here for anything I may need if I stay in the Fremont area again. Thanks for being there for us!!!! read more

One word? Hot and dry. Las Vegas is terribly hot and so dry that my skin was puckered up like those women who fry up in Miami and look like pickled elephants. Because of this, I knew my current soaping methods in the shower were attributing even more to the dryness. After scoping out Fremont Street with the light show set to Queen, we walked across the street past the drunks and chubby tourists (myself included) to score the following: Scunci Elastic bands ($3.79) because there was no way I would be wearing my hair down in this nasty weather. Olay Ribbons Body Wash ($6.29) because the Tone body soap was skinning me alive. Last but not least, a bottle of water ($2.29) xlarge to take back to the hotel. You can find lots of other beauty products as well as snacks and other stuff to keep the larders back at the hotel room stocked. This location is open 24 hours, perfect for the Vegas population. read more

I've never reviewed a Walgreens before but this one deserves it. Located on a busy street in Vegas, Fremont street, I went there many times during my stay. I went the first morning at 6am because it was on the block of my hotel and I went the subsequent nights past midnight. It's open 24 hours and has everything with amazingly friendly staff. I loved having easy access to travel size pharmacy items when my hotel didn't have it. I also loved having deli items and snacks at my disposal at 12 am post Vegas night when I really need it. Walgreens is pretty much the same where ever you go. That's the benefit when you are on a place like the "Family Strip" of Fremont Street. Among the festival atmosphere, you want some stability. We came in looking for an eyeglass repair kit, to replace the screw that fell out of my $750 prescriptions! They have everything you need for a successful experience in downtown Vegas. Souvenirs galore, fresh food, beverages, fruit, normal necessities and an icee machine! This is a standard pharmacy location. I visited it to buy a beverage when I was on Fremont Street on my most recent trip to Vegas. It was pretty busy at this location when I was here but the line up at the register was not too terribly busy or long. Except for the in and out part with the median on Las Vegas Boulevard, this is an OK Walgreens. I was in the area today and needed to get a birthday card for a relative. This was a quick stop involving one U-turn, but it was OK. The store was very clean and well lit. They have a whole bunch of souvenirs for the city so this would be a good stop for those who are in this part of town and want to get some inexpensive t-shirts or shot glasses. read more

Yup I was in that predicament and then I ventured in here with everyone in my group seeking gloves and guess what? Magic happened because they had a bin of gloves!!! Oh Walgreens how many ways do I love you for that? You saved my from my hands turning into icicles and me getting cranky (please believe my friends are so thankful this didn't happen). The gal at the register was super sweet and really funny because one of my guy friends walked up and was standing in my personal space and she was like um do you know him? I said yes I do he is with me and she was like ok because I was about to call security because if you didn't know him he was being really creepy and I said haha well in that case no I don't know this creepy guy and you definitely should call security. We all laughed and I think it totally made her day. All funny stories aside this location is huge and if they had gloves they will surely have what you are looking for at a lower price than I paid at the location on the strip. I am a local who works downtown Las Vegas on Fremont Street experience. Usually after I get out of work at 2am I will go to Walgreens at 495 east Fremont street to purchase some items I need before going home. This morning I went in there to buy cigerettes and few other item but as soon as I walked in the security accused me of being a shoplifter. I told him he must have me confused with someone else. I never steal. I have a job but he continued to watch me while I was shopping so I left cuz its insulting to get accused of something you never did. Oh and the security guards eyes were so red. It looked like he just smoked some weed!! Real nice!! Oh and this is the second time a security guard accused me of shoplifting in that store but the cashiers know I dont steal so im calling cooperate because something has to be done! read more

If you are visiting from out of town and are walking along Fremont St. and need a medication related question answered, don't walk into this Walgreens expecting any kind of help from the pharmacy/pharmacist. The tech or a pharmacist at the counter couldn't be bothered, didn't even budge. Just kinda yelled over that she couldn't help if the medication isn't filled at Walgreens. I get it that she doesn't want to be responsible but a family member recently started a new medication and may have accidentally jammed the applicator. Not asking for a refill. I don't get prescriptions filled here. I don't get photographs developed here. I don't do anything besides treat it as a convenience store of last resort -- and within that specific scope -- I am able to purchase items I need quickly without much hassle. There is overpriced lip balm here. There is overpriced sunscreen here (right next to the lip balm). There is overpriced shitty-brand coconut water here. Most of the time the staff is alright. Sometimes they are rude, but that is probably because some Fremont Street Zombie took a shit in the middle of the floor that hour. (Shit happens.) I still would not get my prescriptions filled here (if I had any), or my photographs developed here (if I had a camera), or do anything besides purchase one or two items, max, for maximum price gouging benefit of Walgreen Co. This has got to be one of the worse Walgreens possible. This store has the highest turn over ever. In my last 3 visits in this store I've never seen a member of management on the sales floor as busy as this store is. I have seen lots of clutter. I've seen staff members shooting the shit in the back of the store mostly complaining about management. That's not good at. No one is on the same page at this store which tells me that the store manager doesn't take his/her job seriously. The cashiers do what they want. How is it that I'm able to make 3 purchases in the last 3 weeks to get cash back and all of a sudden it's against store policy. I was told by a member of management that because there's such a high turnover that it's impossible to get everyone on the same page. Ummm no hun, you better post a memo by the time clock. The only thing impossible is your ability to manage a store. Maybe you should start over at a 7/11 store and work your way to a more challenging corporation. Why is there no sales ads in this store.
