Scheduled some shots I needed through the website. Showed up on time and checked in using their QR code. Waited about 10 minutes before they were ready. Person giving the shots was busy and seemed bothered to have to do this. No conversation, asked questions without description. Asked what shots I was there for and then asked, "how do you want them?" And seemed annoyed that I didn't understand. After clarifying, he meant did I want all 3 in the same arm and what arm. Easy to get shots, but don't expect much conversation. read more

Kirkwood Walgreens pharmacy is the worst pharmacy I have ever gotten my medication thru, other Walgreens haven't given me any issues but Walgreens on N Kirkwood rd is horrible, they send u texts and emails saying you're medication is ready and then you go to the store and they say oh it won't be ready for hours. More often than not, a prescription called in hours ago is not ready. Today it was for badly needed pain medicine. Clerk mumbled through a broken mic and a mouth full of gum that it won't be ready til tomorrow. No apology, just indifference. And that was after at least a 20 minute wait. Other times during pharmacy hours the pharmacy is just closed for lack of staffing. What is happening? I guess you don't want our business. What couldn't improve?! Auto phone system is horrible. After 20 minutes they hung up on me without me ever talking to anyone. I drove to the store, got a manager and she went ballistic on me. I tried to explain it was not the first time the auto system hung up on me but she went through all her problems with complaining customers, employees walking out on her, being short handed and on and on. I was just treated horribly by a young man at the window. I was in the store yesterday and handed them a script which I waited for and they filled. However, they decided on their own to fill another prescription of my wife that apparently was due for a refill as well. I said I would take it home and see if she needed and if not, I would bring it back. He claims that he told me that they could not take a return on the following day, and that he had explained this to me......He actually did not explain that. He had offered to give me a refund on the spot, but I was given the impression that I could take it back the next day if she did not want it. I very nicely told him that that was not explained to me. He promptly said to me "OK, bye-bye ". I was in shock, and this came out of nowhere this attitude. I will be shopping and getting my medication's from CVS from now on. I had been a customer at Walgreens for years and years and years, very loyal. I have never been treated like that, for absolutely no reason whatsoever. Would like to update my review. I made a mistake saying 2nd graders could run this pharmacy better. I am now under the impression that a 3 year old could. On the regular I have to come back 3-4 times within days bc They either cancel the prescription on their own accord or don't run it through insurance correctly and then have to come back. I was suppose to have a prescription ready on a Monday and bc of their errors I can't get it until another week. Take your prescriptions and business elsewhere. Very incompetent read more

Pharmacy is understaffed. Always a line. Oftentimes I hear them telling customers their prescription is not able to be refilled, has not been called in, or there's an insurance problem. These poor customers have waited in the drive-through or in store for a long time to hear they can't get their medications. It is happened to me a few times also. They really need to communicate by phone to each individual prescription/person if there is ever an issue. Kirkwood Walgreens as a whole, though, is great! I buy more from them in a week than Walmart because it is so close to our house and they usually have pretty good deals on items I need. The employees are usually pretty kind, also. Very diverse group of employees... Really do like them all. Although, I am not their favorite customer because I usually have a basket full with a line of people behind me with an energy drink or tube of toothpaste. My bad! read more

This Walgreens blows. So much that I think I am going to take my prescriptions somewhere else. The pharmacy lines are always long. You can't get in and out without spending 30 minutes in there. It's so bad that I've heard one of the employees apologize and say "it's always slow here". This weekend I needed to pick up a prescription. I swung by on a Saturday. There was one car in line ahead of me. I waited behind them for 5 minutes. Nobody ever helped them. They threw their hands up in frustration and drove off. I waited another 5 minutes and did the same thing. I came back on Sunday. I noticed a sign next to the 'call' button that said, "don't push the call button... we have a bell that tells us when a car pulls up" (see pic). 2 cars pulled up behind me. I again waited for 5 minutes for someone to even acknowledge me. Nobody ever came to the window. I threw them the #1 sign and drove off. I hear a new CVS will be built at Lindbergh and Manchester. I don't typically leave reviews but This Walgreens is the absolute WORST. Won't answer my phone call when trying to refill a prescription. Talked to the pharmacist on Sunday to have her refill my script. She ordered my medicine for me to be ready on Wednesday. No problem, I understand issues with certain medicines not being in stock. Called the day after it was supposed to be ready, and the medicine is back in stock, but they lost my prescription and can't give it to me. So now I have to call up my doctors office, and have them send in another prescription for me, which by that time, I'm sure my medicine will be out of stock again by the time it's processed. Thank goodness I don't take pain killers or anything with deadly withdrawals because I would be dead relying on this pharmacy to handle my prescription. read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would, the staff is trhy hired is from a one day online course. Most don't even know how to have a conversation let alone fill your prescription. They can not spell or comprehend a sentence. They take forever to fill a prescription when the Walmart up thr street have you in and out in 5 minutes. Take my advice and drop Walgreens in Kirkwood. Don't go to Walgreens for your passport photos. Even though their photography department provides the service, this locations employees aren't aware of what makes the photo valid for a passport. My family and I had to go back and forth several times because of issues with our photos. Teeth were showing, ears werent showing, we were too far back in the photo frame, etc. Sure we could of easily looked up before hand on what is needed for a photo but it would of been appreciated if their staff were to correct us if we did something that wouldn't work. Their knowledge would of been beneficial considering that we paid a price for the service. read more

Had an appointment for a covid booster shot at 5 and didn't leave the place till 7. The pharmacist was given Covid shots in between filling orders. I had my appointment for three days in advance they knew they had a bunch of Covid shots to give but they didn't schedule enough people to fill Scripps and give Covid shots. read more

This review is more for the Minute Clinic than the actual Walgreens. Over past week, my left ear got clogged up for no reason and stayed that way. For over a day, I felt like I had cotton stuck in half of my head, and when I couldn't take it any more and had tried every home remedy I could find with limited success, I headed for my nearest doc-in-a-box. Surprisingly, the line on a Friday afternoon at 3 PM was quite long for the doctor, but I signed in and after about an hour, was ushered into the Registered Nurse Practitioner's office. We went through the required rigamarole about my overall health and finally got down to the business of my ear. Just for kicks he took a look down both (even though only the left was impeded in my opinion), declared he couldn't even see my eardrums because I had so much wax in them, and proceeded to vigorously irrigate each one with water until the "rock of Gibraltar" (aka giant ball of earwax) was removed from the right and the "cement blocks" were removed from the left. Nice. So I was told I had earwax like cement, was then subjected to vigorous (and quite uncomfortable) ear flushing by a RNP, and then told there was absolutely nothing I could do to prevent this from happening again in the future, that just happened to be my lot in life (and the rate my ears produce earwax). Oh, and please pay $60 for a clean bill of ear health, or in his words, "Ear canals so clean you could eat off of them." Fine. Although it was disheartening to hear there is nothing I can do to prevent this happening again in the future (hopefully not until after many more years), at least I know what to do when it does happen again and where to go for help. Plus, I can hear again out of both ears. Hurray! Thanks Walgreens doc-in-a-box, for giving me back stereo hearing. Job well done! read more

Horrible cashiers that don't seem to know what they're doing. I will however say that the management will step to the registers when the slow cashiers let the line back up to take the next guests. The pharmacy has never been very friendly nor have they been helpful in getting basic RX filled. The techs have always been extremely rude and take forever. Good luck if you ever have to call in to ask a simple question. They rarely answer the phone. read more

I love Walgreens---you really could exist on Walgreen's alone, if you had to. Milk, medicine, magazines, mousse; school supplies, sunscreen, socks; lipstick, listerine and LIQUOR. They got it all! Staff is nice here, but they are very lazy. They do not do any more than the bare minimum, meaning allowing lines of customers to pile up and pile up. I had to use the bathroom so I went into the ladies room, cuz I'm a lady, and I immediately regretted stepping foot in there. I almost walked out, but I really had to go so I battled through the stench. Imagine if an old lady wore the same menstrual pad for two weeks and only dumped them specifically in this walgreens bathroom. Mix that with a salty urine odor and wallah! You get the nauseating aroma that climbed up my nostrils. I was waiting for the hand of a dead body to grab my shoulder while I peed hovering over the toilet. I would give this pharmacy zero stars if available. The Urgent Care is FANTASTIC but the pharmacy is inept. A 15-minute prescription fill was 40 minutes. I went up there and they said my insurance had expired 4 years ago (by the way she was entering in the wrong numbers and they never called me up) and they only had one script. I said I would pick up at Dierbergs if she could give the script and she said they have to call. I asked if the other one was ready and she said yes. Another 10 minutes still not ready. I told her I would pick up both at Dierbergs. Dierbergs was great and called and they would pick up and then hang up. I went back up there because she never gave me my license back. I retained both scripts and went back. The pharmacist had called again (great customer service) and they picked up and then hung up. Do yourself a favor, the Urgent Care is great and have your prescriptions sent to a Dierbergs. read more
