I would like to start out by saying that I love Face's products along with their mission,…read moreaesthetic, and quality. That being said, I had a truly awful experience there this past weekend. I had spoken to several different employees on the phone about booking a makeup application for my upcoming headshots and was assured that whomever I booked with, they would be well qualified for the job and had experience working with makeup for photography. When I arrived on Saturday, it quickly became clear that wasn't the case; unfortunately I cannot remember the name of the woman whom I worked with, but I can say that she was pushy and did not listen to anything that I said, even when I clearly stated I needed a natural makeup look. She caked blush on me, used the wrong color for my eyebrows, did not blend thoroughly, powdered me so many times that I ended up looking ghostly and pale, and smudged eyeliner onto my cheeks by mistake and did not even wipe it off. After going outside into natural lighting and having the person I was with take my photo, we realized just how bad the end result was. I diplomatically explained this and was assured that I looked fine, but she took "some" blush off to appease me. I ended up having to take off the entirety of the makeup look, push my headshot appointment back an hour, and redo my makeup myself. All in all, it was a really disappointing experience from a place that I thought would give me a fantastic result. UPDATE: I spoke to the manager, Rosalie, on the phone today and had a fantastic experience. She offered me a free application at any point in the future with either herself or another manager. I felt very heard and taken care of as a consumer!

Would definitely NOT recommend this practice location because of overbooking, ridiculous wait times, rude staff, not enough chairs for patients to sit in and no where to park....very bad experience.

Disappointing Experience - Would Not Recommend…read more Being new to the area, I gave this salon a few tries for both cuts and color. Unfortunately, my experiences were consistently disappointing. On one occasion, a stylist applied my hair color using a dry brush, pulling so hard while putting in the hair dye that I had to ask multiple times for her to stop yanking my hair back. My hair is already fragile, so this was incredibly uncomfortable and concerning. I eventually found a stylist I liked for color, but when I booked an appointment with her in the morning, I ended up sitting there for over 25 minutes before I had to ask what was going on--only to be told that she had completely forgotten about me. I had taken time off work for this appointment, which made the situation even more frustrating. After I left, she texted me an apology and asked if I wanted to reschedule. Absolutely not. Beyond these specific incidents, the salon itself has a cold, dreary, and somewhat snobby atmosphere. The pricing is also way too high for the level of service provided. It seems like hairstylists rent their own booths, so you might get lucky with one person, but overall, I cannot recommend this place.
