That sweet tie dye dress in the window? MINE! There was also a super cool leather woven bag in the window, too. Maybe next time. Melinda (I hope I got her name right?) the owner is dripping with style and great taste. She looks like a fashion designer. Good news: you too can look like Melinda, because her racks are filled with tons of dresses, tops, pants and skirts...natural fabrics and so pretty. She also has eye wear...like REALLY COOL eye wear. Awesome home wares, too. And I bought a super special candle that will always bring me back to Hudson when I light it. Smells like fancy pine. Also! I sent it back to them, they refuse any refund. Look how insulting their response is, as if I am a professional hand laundry outfit: "We are sorry to hear that the first washing did not go as expected. Can you please let us know which products you purchased. Also, may we ask which detergent you used to wash our products? Our printed fabrics do require special care. Due to our natural dyes and the hand-block printing process each wash releases dye in to the water, this is normal. The trick is to avoid releasing too much dye at one time. It is very important to use the maximum water setting despite the size of your load followed by an extra rinse. This ensures that the basin fills with water so that the products can rinse thoroughly and not absorb the excess dye. In the past when excess dye has been absorbed by our products we have had great success by re-washing the items on delicate with cold water and distilled white vinegar followed by an extra rinse. Drip-dry is recommended followed by a hot steam iron for pressing. Our return policy states we accept returns on unused/unwashed items within 30 days of purchase. The reason we specify "unwashed" is due to the fact that laundering is specific to the individual, machinery and cleaning solutions. Please let us know if the re-washing process is able to clarify the backgrounds of the products and rectify this situation."
