I mean, you couldn't even walk in the isles! I was happy for them! I went in just to look and ended up getting a cart and shopping around. I hope this store stays as clean as it is now! I came today as well 8/12, and still, it was packed!!!! I hope this store succeeds and bring lots of business to Greenport. I think this store has cheap options that many people would appreciate. Clothing is pretty much a given at tj maxx... they have duvet covers (along with pillows, sheets and comforters which was a nice plus... The best part was the friendly service. Stop by this Dollar General for the first time and it was okay. The price tags, especially the…read morepromotion tags were confusing. We purchased the item that we thought they were on sale as the sales tag was right above of it, but the price did not reflect the promotion. The cashier had no idea why the promotion did not kick it and we waited for at least 10 minutes for the store manager to figure out. We were then told that the item we got was not on sale and it was just placed above the price tag by mistake. The store manager did apologize to us though, but the cashier should have been able to figure that out instead of wasting time waiting there. Most items were priced reasonable. I also like the variety of items / sizes they carry. Overall it was an okay experience and I will probably stop by again when I am in town next time.

One thing I must say is that if you're from NYC it's great to come here for people watching. I *literally* saw a family of huckleberry's pile out of a lifted pickup truck and spill into the store. The father, of course, wearing the bad-a*s 2-wolf shiny-shirt-thing tucked into jeans and boots; he obviously knows how to do it up. As they were screaming across the store at each other I could not help but smile as I pictured them striking oil in their backyard and moving to Beverley Hills with grandma tied to the back of the dune buggy in her rocking chair.
