I just picked up a prescription for an antibiotic - a one week supple at 2times a day - should have been 14 pills. There were only 9 (NINE) pills included! When I called the first time I was on hold tor 3 mins and 48 seconds - before they hung up on me! Second time called was on hold for over 4 mins before a live person came on line. Told them the problem, they put me back on hold for another 3 mins before the pharmacist finally came on. Told my problem again. She informed me I had to bring it back to store and they would "investigate it"! I asked what they would do, again she said "investigate it" and IF there was an error they will "fix it". I live over a half hr away, btw. This is very dangerous and negligent. So lesson: COUNT ALL YOUR PILLS before you leave the store! And good luck actually talking to a polite live person when you have to call them! read more

I had a simple question. I called their number, and got a call center...somewhere. The person who answered could barely speak English. After much effort, we figured out that I needed to be transferred to the local store who never answered their phone. I had to drive to the store to get a simple question "answered." I complained about the difficulty of understanding the person at the call center, and the pharmacy manager called me "prejudiced." My question was answered--complete with calling me names! This is what we should expect when big companies buy out all the local competition. Customers have nowhere else to take their business, so the company has no incentive to serve their customers properly. read more

I was in the ER last night w/ a terrible hand infection. I called this Walgreens & confirmed that my Rx from the night before had been filled. (The Rx was submitted after the pharmacy had closed.) I arrive. There is ONE person working the drive-thru window and the cash register counter. She finished at the window & didn't even check if someone was standing at the counter. Playing with her watch, she walked off. I go to where the pharmacists are filling prescriptions & very politely ask if someone can help me at the counter. Finally, the girl shows up with an attitude & then takes 10 mins to find my prescription. Horrible service & attitude. I will never use the pharmacy at this location again. read more

Horrible management. Would never shop here. The workers are not customer focused or customer friendly.

Walgreens - Me - Cosmetics & Beauty Supply Near Me - Hillsborough, North Carolina

This store is an absolute disaster. Needed a hormone to continue my pregnancy safely and they refused to fill it due to "insurance issues". I spoke directly with my insurance and they told me the pharmacy had the power to easily override the issue and I'd be good to go. They refused to do so and instead wanted $1,300 for one prescription! Don't give this greedy and rude location your money. Go to Scott Clinic where you're treated as a actual human and not a ATM. read more

This place is terrible. If you have the option, choose Hillsborough Pharmacy. Unfortunately my insurance relegates me to this disaster of a pharmacy. The automated system is trash. They may or may not have your refill filled; and then the staff blames YOU if it wasn't filled. Maybe a decent place to get a birthday card and some shampoo. Beyond that, go elsewhere. read more

What's to say? These guys took over the old Kerr Drug at the same location. The building was old and somewhat funky. I didn't see any improvements, other than minor cosmetic ones. I'm not sure they even replaced the carpet. So for looks, I'd give them a "meh." I was greeted promptly and courteously by the person behind the front counter as soon as I walked in. A little startling in this country. Truth be told, I just went there to get my flu shot. The pharmacist was efficient and quick, and the person administering the shot was personable. ...enough to make me smile. I'll go back here. If you go, however, don't be surprised if the floors look a bit suspect. I think they can do a lot better in the "image" department. read more

Customer Service Tip to the lady working in the pharmacy this morning: Don't let customers see you are irritated with them. I waited at the drive-up window, looking in, reading the sign that says a bell rings when we pull in. After 3 minutes, I rang the call button feeling guilty. You stood across the room with your back to me working away. I waited to be acknowledged, noticed, given the '1 second' raised-finger gesture, for anything other than your back. A car pulled in behind me as I waved my arm to try to get the attention of another worker walking by. After 2 minutes more I (gasp) knocked on the window. After all, I think, maybe the bell has not been turned on this morning since I am probably your first drive-thru customer. The look you gave me as you turned slowly around was withering. Nice. If not for the extremely nice, very efficient and profusely apologetic ("The bell must not have been turned on! We didn't hear you drive up!") pharmacy tech that helped me, I believe my day, and my future with Walgreens, would have been ruined. read more

Most aggravating pharmacy I've ever dealt with. I've had several prescriptions they automatically do a refill on even if I'm no longer need this prescription. I was told they do this to artificially inflate their number of prescriptions filled. Doesn't do any good to tell them not to. I never pick up any unnecessary prescriptions. Their automated phone system is constantly calling my phone. It was so distracting that I had to block them. read more

Pharmacy horrible. Had 2 fifteen minute appointments for my daughters to get flu shots. I've never had a problem requesting one for myself while I was at a pharmacy. It takes two seconds. They refused. Assistant told me they were too busy. I asked the pharmacist again after my daughters were done. She told me they were out of vaccine. That isn't the first reason I was given. I'm not sure she was truthful. read more

I'd give them a 0 stars if I could. I takes FOREVER to get a prescription filled here. Yes, I understand that people are short staffed everywhere, but this has been an ongoing problem. I can get the prescription transferred to another Walgreens which is NOT on my way home from the dr's office and still have it filled in a matter of a couple of hours instead of days. To top it off, I stopped by to pick up a prescription that they had filled only to find that no one had access to the pharmacy section since the lunch break. Although I can't be certain, it looked like someone lost the keys to the pharmacy. Serious incompetence or lack of care. In the future, I will avoid this particular Walgreens at all cost. read more

Oh man, in tears about this place. I needed a prescription and went through hell to get my doctor's office to re-prescribe (no one told me I needed to come in every year to renew this RX), and then they finally called in one month at which point the pharmacy said, come on in! And literally half an hour later, I got an email saying that my insurance company would not pay for it and when I call asking what was going on, they said it my doctor's fault for calling it in twice. And I was like, but has my insurance paid for it...? And they said, no because they already paid for the first one... And I won't subject you to the "who's on first" comedy that ensued, but TERRIBLE communication, and apparently there is no human being there that actually cares, just button-pushers. read more

This store is less interested in customers and more interested in their breaks. I arrived for a flee shot at 1:25, waited in line a few minutes. When I reach the counter at 1:30 and requested a flu shot. I was told it wouldn't be till 2:00 as "she" was going on break! Now we all know that a flu shot takes all of 3min so I asked if she could do it now as I had another two o'clock appt. I was told no! Needless to say I'm NEVER coming back here and moving All my scripts to another store! Recommend you do the same if you think customer/patient care is important!!! When a store is advertising constantly to get your flu shots and then puts their breaks before service, it's time to move on. It only will get worse from here! read more

Wow! They screwed up a couple of times, including once charging double what a prescription was supposed to cost--we had to have the insurance company call to straighten them out--but this time was too much. Unable to fill the prescription, one I needed right away, and rude when we suggested that they try to find the medication for us. No more! read more

This is the slowest most disorganized pharmacy in America. I ALWAYS have to wait forever to get a prescription filled here. I am so glad Hillsborough is expanding and new options will be available soon. As soon as another pharmacy opens in the area, I will NEVER set fort in this pharmacy again. Horrendous customer service and just plain rude staff. read more

I called into the Walgreens Pharmacy in Hillsborough and asked if my daughter prescription was ready and they said they did not have it in stock. I ask them to look into their system and tell me which Walgreens store in the area had the drug into stock. They informed me that they could not do this. However all of the other Walgreens was happy to provide this service to me. There are two Pharmacist at this store that have bad additude problems, when you ask them for help. DO Not patronize this store. read more

Walgreens has a 1.5 star rating all over the Internet. 90% of these bad ratings are about the Pharmacies. I cannot count the number of times they have gotten my RXs wrong, wrong manufacturer. I've asked them NOT to change the Manufacture without telling me. I told them different Pill manufactures use different Fillers and Binders. One Pharmacist there said that wasn't true. It's definitely true and this is a Pharmacist Walgreens has working there with your medicine in their hands and they don't know that!!! Yet they refuse to listen, even though I've had it put on my record there. Better Business Bureau won't even give them an accreditation rating. The Pharmacists are RUDE and careless. I once had a Pharmacist say to me "Oh it's you again"...rudely. Check the pill size, shape and markings on your phone BEFORE you leave. One could forgive them errors if they were not so arrogant and rude when you catch them, adding insult to injury. I won't be going here anymore. I've tried to trust them long enough. It's too dangerous. read more

I am writing this review because I actually was stunned by the behavior of people in the pharmacy .... behavior that I think could have resulted in serious harm. Our doc called in a strong antibiotic salve to prevent a foot infection. We got an automated call telling us the prescription was going to be delayed. No other information. I called the store. They said they thought they could get the salve in day or so. It should have been clear that the salve was needed to fight an infection immediately. When I complained about the delay they said they might be able to transfer it to another pharmacy somewhere. They had done nothing to even locate the drug in another one of their stores in the area. They did nothing to see that the prescription our doctor ordered got to us in time to be useful. If we were less resourceful, or seriously infirm this could have ended badly. We are transferring our prescriptions elsewhere, but Walgreens should put in place systems that would make this kind of malfeasance impossible. read more
