Ok this is more of an update to my comment below the change in rating is because it's not a store issue but a corporate greed issue. After painlessly investigating why the service is so bad here I've come to realize it's not truly the store itself but Corporate, I use the analogy it's not the waitress but the cooks themselves, I've been soo frustrated with this store because I winter in AZ and never have a problem but I also notice that they tend to have more staff in Az at any given time. Obviously corporate cuts in Colo giving minimal staff for a high-volume store. Not only does the pharmacist have to give Vaccines which takes a while but also filling RX, unfortunately leaving the pharmacist stretched thin. Then they have only one other person to do the drive up, the front desk and stock RX for patients in the bin leaving NO ONE to answer the phones. In order to rectify this situation, it HAS TO START with corporate because I guarantee you that if a med error happens Corp. will throw the pharmacist under the bus. read more

The incompetency of the pharmaceutical staff here is jaw dropping. My insurance partners with them, so I am stuck. Waited 30 minutes in drive through lane, lady at the drive through window is not properly trained. Couldn't find anyone's RX, so we had to turn our cars off to wait to fill each customer's order. Needed meds that my dentist wanted me to start today. Was told I had no orders. Showed her my ap showing I have all these scripts ready. She wandered off and told me to leave the line and come back in 30 minutes!! Really??? The script was sent in several hours ago after my procedure. So now I am in excruciating pain because I don't have the pain meds, and needed to start antibiotics an hour ago. Thank you for endangering my life with your complete and utter incompetence. Every time I have needed something at this store and/or the pharmacy, the staff genuinely cares and goes above and beyond the call of duty to help each person. Putting myself in their shoes, and with the demands customers sometimes put on employees if they have not allowed enough time to be patient with other people having the same needs as they do, one could not ask for better service from Walgreens. When people post negative reviews, sometimes the issue is from the source that is doing the posting. I have gone to this location and Walgreens on University Blvd with always the kindest, most outstanding service. read more

This place is a joke. It's been 24 hours, and my prescription has not been filled yet. I have not received any communication as to why the delay occurred or when it will be ready. Additionally, they do not answer the phone, so don't waste your time trying to call. I decided to go there yesterday to see why it was not ready six hours after the preciption was sent, and all I was told is it is not ready yet and I'll recive a text when it is. RUDE pharmacists!!!! I waited for 15 minutes on hold after dealing with the automated system that was not helpful. When the female finally picked up the phone she asked my name, yet hung up while I was telling her!!! I called back and dealt with the rid automated system again just to get a young sounding male who was rude to condescending... Just to let you both know people don't want to have to go to the pharmacy in the first place and they especially don't want to deal with the nonsense attitude you guys give us!! I should first give myself 1 star for stupidity. I know better than to deal with this pharmacy but for my husband's sake for ease of pickup after my surgery 12.2.24 I had my surgeon send prescriptions there. 1. Their staff are rude. They act as if we're doing them a favor spending money there. 2. Prescriptions are never ready when they say they are. 3. They failed to fill one of 4 meds, the anti-inflammatory, which resulted in extremely painful swelling and inability to ambulate as required to prevent blood clots. 4. When prescription was retrieved from their warehouse and was ready for pickup, they didn't notify us even though contact info is on file. My husband called 4 days later and they said it had been ready the whole time. 5. I needed a pain med refill and confirmed I was signed up for text notifications. They sent a message with a link to check status of order which when clicked said, "we're sorry, this service isn't available." 6. I have now been on hold waiting for a pharmacist for 50 minutes. I know they are not coming on the line, they just want me to give up. So I'm sending my husband over to the store to make a scene. Wish he could access their com system and announce that the pharmacy has had a call on hold for over an hour. It will be by the time he gets there. This is a regular practice with this store and we haven't had any better luck with other Walgreens locations in our area. I'm done with Walgreens. They are the absolute worst. I cannot find a single redeeming fact to share. read more

I called ahead because I didn't want to have to wait too long because I had plans today, the lady that answered the phone after a 45 minute hold time told me I didn't have to do "all of that". The "that" she was referring to was transferring my medication to this pharmacy so I could pick it up right after work. She said my medication was already ready at that pharmacy. I arrived and after 10 minutes waiting in line a short man that reminded me of Schmidt from New Girl told me that he will get his boss to start working on it and advised me to wait near the pharmacy. I did so and watched as they helped 7 people that literally walking in more after I was told to wait. I waited for 50 minutes.. Once they finally waved me to the front he asked my name again. I told him and he said "oh that's been ready" and picked it up from a basket. It was literally ready the entire time. He started processing it in the system and I realized that it was only one of them. I told them I transferred both of them. Which I did. He said I did not. I have the screenshot of the transfer request in my phone. He then told me to wait while they transfer it....and then as I went to sit down he said "you should've said that in the beginning, just saying it could've saved you some time" I wanted to cry in the middle of a goddamn Walgreens. After waiting about 15 minutes they got me my other prescription. If you want to be treated like a 2nd class citizen then this is the place for you. If you have a deep desire to ruin a good day, take a stop here. read more

I will never again use this pharmacy. It was Saturday morning and I needed amoxicillin for my daughters ear infection. The whole point of going to an urgent care was because it couldn't wait. But this Walgreens didn't have our prescription until Sunday night , less than 30 minutes to closing time The last time we use this place it also took days when it should have taken hours at the most. I think this is my first 1 star review, but unfortunately they deserved it. I was going out of town for a week, so since they're a 24 hour store it should come in handy. Got their around 12:30 am and handed the pharmacist my script which I get every month, same day, same routine & always through Walgreens. The pharmacist puts it in computer & preceded to tell me that she can't fill it until 9/9, seven days away....I had September's bottle at home that was filled on 9/3, so 10/2 was exactly when it was due. Didn't want to argue, so I went to my normal Walgreens first thing in the am, they had no idea why the other store would tell me that. Got my meds ASAP & made my flight. read more

This Walgreens pharmacy is so understaffed. Saw people waiting at least 2 hours for prescriptions. I tried calling but the phone was busy couldn't get through tried for an hour. They don't communicate when a prescription has an issue. I understand it was 6pm but the line was almost to entire length of the isle and the car line was 10 cars deep. Unfortunately, this location has become consistent at total inconsistencies in their pharmacy. It has caused my husband to miss doses of medications simply because no one wants to work there- and I can understand why. Their drive thru will randomly "shut down" because of COVID vaccinations now and instead of focusing on the people there to pick up rx's, they punish them and do vaccinations instead. There's usually one pharmacist working under grueling circumstances and this is a location that was 24/7 prior, and functioned well. I have been really patient before writing this review because I don't ever want to be someone who ruins a company based on one experience. Because these are medications people NEED, it's unacceptable. This location has remained screwed since COVID. Hire more staff Walgreens. And before you want to offer vaccines of ANY kind, focus on keeping the pharmacy open for more than 4 hours a day! Nothing convenient about here and I transferred my meds long ago. You really sucked today ;my sister was there again and this time it was her third attempt to pick up a very BASIC $11 amoxicillin rx for an impacted wisdom Tooth. The first time she tried to get it they had some Issue with insurance (they always do,) and finally she told them she'd pay out of pocket. She was in the drive thru when they surprise! once again closed it. They say NOTHING to the people who've been in line in the drive thru that entire time and post a note on the window and then ignore that it even exists. For my sister, she had to go into the store in her robe and slippers to wait in line and has now been in this line for 1.5 hours. This is almost comical but also maddening. Genuinely pissed at the regional and upper management of this location: you put so much crap onto your employees by allowing them to take the brunt of your lack of getting with the times and paying people more than $13/hr. COVID is no longer an excuse as to why you are unable to function; Shame on you! This location needs some help and I don't understand why NO ONE steps in. It's not normal: and I will never fill at a Walgreens again- Staff deserve better and managers who have to mitigate the pharmacy while running photo and the entire store should be immediately recognized and compensated because you're lucky a single soul works here- it's a wonder how anyone attempts to come into this place; you're setting your managers up to FAIL. DO NOT BUY VISA GIFT CARD I bought a $100 visa card. Later that day I noticed 4 missing letters on the code. The CVV was also scratched off. Also, the scanning bar code was scratched. I went back to the store and saw almost every other card had the same things. The manager did not help the situation. Ridiculous! read more

Well, I didn't think it was possible for this Walgreens pharmacy location to get any worse, but it has. I've been trying for three days to get a prescription filled. I certainly don't want to drive to this store, if my prescription isn't ready, so I've tried to call to confirm in advance. I typically am on hold for 45 to 60 minutes, and 95% of the time I'm hung up on. Walgreens really should just close this location, and cut their loses. It's just shameful. I just thought I'd update my review, considering I've been on hold for 66 minutes. The automated message has told me since minute number 5, that there is one customer ahead of me. I mean, really? It's taken 61 minutes to handle one customer??? Absolutely pathetic. read more

I've never seen anything like this - I know that they're short staffed but the lack of sense of urgency is insane. It took me 3 trips to be able to pickup a prescription. The first trip was 1.5 hours, second was 30 minutes and last one was 20 The problem is 1. The no sense of urgency, but 2. There is no line management or trying to weed through things, they close the drive thru but in reality that would be great for people that don't have questions but just need to pickup. Then if they get to the pickup and have questions you can tell them they need to go inside. Only one person is helped at a time and people that just need to pickup have to wait over an hour because other people are there asking questions, seeing if things are ready etc. today there were 4-5 employees working I get that they all have different roles but someone could do some triaging. read more

We booked an appointment for a flu shot. We have been to other Walgreens in the past for this but chose this location due to errands we were running in the area. There is one line for pharmacy (pick up/drop off, flu shots, etc.). There was also one employee at the pharmacy counter. After waiting in line for almost 20 mins we were then checked in and told it would be another 20 mins for paperwork and the shot. Total time 38mins with an appointment. During our wait at one point there were 7 (seven) people in line waiting for assistance. Unsure if staffing is an issue or scheduling. Felt for the lone woman at the pharmacy counter. Will not go to this location ever again and would not recommend it. read more

I've been coming here for years and their service has been great. However, the last dozen times have been horrible. They are understaffed and it shows. I got a phone call stating my prescription was ready, only to learn that only 1/2 was filled. The drive through is always closed now too. I stopped using the Walgreens at Mineral/Broadway. They had a great staff and I don't know what happened to everyone but it's all new people. They hired this lady and I don't know her name but she reminds me of Cruella Deville. But the older version. OMG she is the rudest person I have ever in my life met. And I've met some bad ones at the DMV. I will never go back there. I transferred my stuff to the Walgreens in Highlands Ranch. They were awesome but now they are starting to get bad. They lie about not having your medication. I finally started asking questions and all of a sudden oh we have 140 in stock and next month same issue and I start questioning and oh I'm sorry the truck came this morning. I've contacted customer service, I've talk to regional manager and I got well it's hard to find people. Well here is some advice stop paying your employees unlivable wages and you can hire people. You guys have chains of store and are making the money. Stop paying the CEO AND OTHER HIGH OFFICIALS ALL THE MONEY! I've used this pharmacy for over a decade. And yes, in the last few months, they've been understaffed and have had to resort to employing individuals from unrelated departments of the store, but IT IS WHAT IT IS. If you really need you script, plan ahead, just like when you really need to do literally anything else in life. Most of January it was impossible to reach this pharmacy by phone, so I had to go in and wait up to 2 hours in line - but PRO TIP, just call another Walgreens and get transferred to a call center and they can usually answer some of your questions. In the meantime, they're doing the best they can - if you don't like it, go to Safeway. read more

Rude, impatient, and unhelpful. While I have been navigating healthcare systems for 45 years with an autoimmune disease, the tech tried to tell me that "patients need to advocate for themselves" as if that weren't the reason I was making yet another call to them for some kind of resolution to getting a prescription that was hard to find. Their inability to manage their own work process is certainly no reason to push their failings onto a patient. I was also reminded by this tech that there were other patients waiting too. Perhaps, and I get that but I had been waiting for a day for some communication without any progress so I am less than impressed with that excuse. Based on other comments, I would suggest that Walgreens look at new and more qualified management for this location. read more

This place is just downright pathetic. I don't think I've ever seen humans move so slow. Need to call into the pharmacy? Expect it to take over an hour for them to answer your phone call. Need to come in? Yeah, the line will be minimum 12-15 people deep. They've started closing the pharmacy at 6:00, so they barricade the aisle that leads up to the pharmacy with shopping carts at 5:15. They obviously have no care that people need their medication. They keep blaming the fact they are short staffed. Any time I hear that from a place it tells me that they underpay, overwork, and have no appreciation for their employees in any way shape or form. If it's so hard to run this business then they should consider closing their doors and all getting jobs at a circus since they're just a bunch of clowns. read more
