If I could give them a 0 I would but unfortunately I can't. TERRIBLE customer service, I tried getting my prescriptions refilled and called a total of 6 times.... Each time I was put on hold for 20 mins and then hung up on by the system or who ever was handling the phones. I eventually called back and got to the manager of the store at the time and she gave the pharmacy my information to refill my prescriptions. This should not be the case when trying to get my medication and I will NEVER be going back to this awful Walgreens. Instead I will be going to one that has more customer service skills and can actually have a brain when it comes to people needing help. read more

Needed to pick up a prescription. Checked the website saw the pharmacy was open. Drove there. Stood in line while two people got served ahead of me and one waited behind me. Got to the window and was told they were closed for their dinner break and to come back in an hour. There are three people behind the counter and they all go on break at the same time? Wish I could leave zero stars. Went 3 times today each time told to "come back it will be ready in 15 min. The 3rd time at 5pm they said (after yet another 30 minute wait) they called me up and said they ran out of my medication completely and did not know when it would be back in stock. It was due yesterday. Their suggestion was that I call my doctor (which is now closed, of course) and have them switch the prescription to somewhere else. Absolutely despicable. read more

This store repeatedly told me when to come in to get my prescriptions, including the day of, infant stating I could get it in an hour. I showed up and the prescription was not filled as they were short and another couldn't be filled until the following day. Emily a unhappy employee from the start wouldn't listen to my questions and then refused to answer them. I then said "do you guys wonder why you only have 2 stars?" To which she just flat out walked away. They blamed it on a "national shortage". I called other pharmacies and not 1 was out of my prescriptions. They were rude, I was 100% lied to 3 times in 4 days and then dealt with someone that shouldn't be in any customer service role at all. This isn't the first time I've dealt with incompetence at this location, my personal favorite was the time I waited for over an hour.... BECAUSE THE MANAGER DIDNT SHOW UP TO UNLOCK THE STORE!!! While I usually wouldn't write a review for a pharmacy, I was overwhelmed with the great customer care I received at this Pharmacy. I just returned from my doctor and needed some eye drops and they faxed over a prescription for me. I arrived and it was waiting there for me with no delay! The pharmacy tech was extremely pleasant and informative. Hopefully, I won't need any more prescriptions, but this is definitely the one I'll be shopping at!! read more

The selection of items isn't bad. I'm always satisfied with my purchase and the prices. But the staff is kind of bad. One of the times I went in, the staff was talking smack about a customer who was just in the store. How classy to talk badly about a customer when other customers are in the store. At least wait till we leave, turns out I knew the customer they were talking smack about. Just very unprofessional. And the cashiers usually seem unhappy to be there. This Walgreens is pretty sweet. Usually when I'm at Walgreens, employees seem to stalk you around the store to make sure you're not stealing anything. This one is super chill, you can just grab what you need, pay and get out. It's also convenient because it's right by my school so if I ever need anything general like batteries, or something to drink I can always swing by. This is only the pharmacy. THEY ARE TERRIBLE, IMPOLITE AND WAIT HOLDS ARE NEARLY 15 MIN OR MORE. They failed to contact medicare for my life saving diabetic device. I check with Medicare and they had no refill requests since Jan. This store lied to me and Medicare rejected claim. A claim never sent. STAY AWAY. read more

I normally don't go to this location but, had a great experience the other day. Older female cashier was a little loud when walking in but, very nice. Manager Dave was very polite and helped me in photo with downloading pictures from my phone. It took less then 5 minutes to get my pictures printed. I don't normally shop at any Walgreens because of their aggressive Rewards program. I don't favor programs that track individual sales. Many retailers have abandoned them. However I did have an emergency recently and this Walgreens was closest. When I couldn't find the item I was looking for I ask the cashier. She wasn't sure of the location and summoned the store Manager. When I asked the Manager for help all I got was a blank stare then she moved on to another task ignoring me completely. I don't understand why this Walgreens has the computer system it does. Walgreens advertises great coupons. I always bring another person to make sure I read the coupon correctly. And yet, the system is capricious about which coupons it allows and which it does not. Manufacturer's coupon? Worse than a Walgreens coupon! More importantly, I get the impression my sales are not welcome at this particular Walgreens. One cashier in particular treats me as if I am an ignorant person intruding upon her time. She clicks her tongue, hums "Hmf" under her breath, and gets upset if I talk to other Walgreens employees. I stopped going to this Walgreens in the past, but went yesterday, hoping for change. No such luck. I'll continue to avoid it and head to the one on Grand Avenue. read more

As I was walking in with my puppy in my arms, there was a heavy set woman who worked there yelling at me about my puppy being in the store, n my dog is a service dog. And she wanted to c the coller! You don't yell at customers as they walk inside the door. Made me more nervous n had to leave, I will never go back. This is the Walgreens on Washington n 83 !!! She's a cashier who is heavy n short n has short hair. Other Walgreens treat me with kind words n are caring. Okay... it's a chain and they are all alike... but I just happen to really like this location. It's not the newest, yet it is very clean and well maintained. The Pharmacy here is also very efficient and helpful. They take the time to make sure you know what your prescription is and cover any questions you may have... although it's a chain, I really get the feel of a small town pharmacy which really do care about their customers. read more

My wife and I went to the Walgreens on Washington St in Grayslake to get a flu shot. The pharmacist was extremely professional and helpful It only took a few minutes of waiting time before the pharmacist was able to give us the flu shot. The shot did not hurt and we are now prepared for the 2013 flu season! It was very easy. If you are able to stop in during the weekday, in the middle of the afternoon, there was very little wait time. read more

Probably one of the best Walgreens around. Everyone that works here is extremely helpful. The Pharmacy is always very efficiant and helpful. I always get a call when I am sick and have filled a new presciption here to see how I am doing. RXs are filled timely and accuratly. The drive thru is run very efficiantly and wait times are usually very low. The store is clean and always has good stock of all items. The only thing that is a bit outdated is the bathroom but it works! read more

Used the photo center to create and print a Christmas card. Two employees Christopher and Alex were very helpful and kind. This was my first time making my own card and thanks to these two employees and how easy they made the process I will be a repeat customer. Top notch store that earned all five stars. read more
