Its no secret to anyone with eyes that Blacks don't own much of anything, and the Blacks that do (have buisnesses)take their money and run off to non-Black areas asap leaving these areas to be bare and useless until someone else comes through to make money off of us.. All too often forgetting about the fact that Black people need to eat, drink, go shopping ,socialize and have a job in which should be provided by people that look alot like ourselves. Now that that's over, ill explain why J- Beauty makes the cut. I don't expect Koreans or anyone else to love Black people or even want to be bothered with us. That's not what page I'm on.If you have special talents, looks or money, or at least one of those things that would all be different.Thats how most of us Blacks get over anyway. All I'm asking for is a little respect and kindness when i walk into the door.A shopping experience where i can get in and out without tripping over things.I don't like being followed all over the damn place.A large selection of items to choose over also wouldn't hurt either.Clean stores, well air conditioned with sturdy floors and decent enough prices. Even though i had sworn off Korean owned Black beauty supplies in the past i Will step out on a limb and give this business establishment a high praise for sticking to all of the things mentioned above. I don't try to support these businesses if i don't have to.This is not to say that when i get back to Los Angeles i wont be all over K-Town or Monterrey Park or other Asian areas.Im just saying that i wont give my money to 98% of any of these establishments that make me feel like crap anymore. J-Beauty has earned my buisness and has changed my mind as far as this is concerned as long as I'm in the Lake county area, and if they hadn't trust me i wouldn't be writing a review giving them such a high recommendation . The next time as a Black women you are feeling you are not getting the respect you deserve and you don't have time to order your items online.I'll make a suggestion of J-Beauty on the Plaza with Lewis Produce to get all of the things you need in the meantime without all of the B.S you're normally use to!

Had to swing by & pickup a last minute item on a holiday & thankfully they were available…read moreyesterday. See what I did there? While there was a line already forming for one cashier another offered to help me at their counter so I wouldn't have to wait as long. I appreciated the fact that they noticed I just had one item so it didn't make sense to wait like that while the other shoppers had much more to purchase. I just wanted to be in & out, which I was able to do thankfully due to this kind cashier. See what I did again? Gobble gobble. On top of that, I noticed my information on my rewards card needed to be updated & that it needed to be replaced since the barcode was all faded, so the cashier was nice enough to take care of that as well. They were patient enough to let me place my rewards card onto my key ring when all they just needed was for me to insert my card for payment. Not sure if you'll ever read this, but "Thank you Maria" for your customer service going above and beyond for me. I can honestly say I was cared for. Liza was nothing short of amazing, I needed help because I bought IT foundation and it was a little too bright on my face. It had been a hot minute since I'd been to a Hallmark shop, so it was a treat to revisit the familiar warmth. Definitely tons more cards to choose from compared to any other shops. I loved how the sections were labeled by proper occasions as well as your target audience. Wife Birthday was the first section I visited, then moved onto general Birthday section, where I found and decided on series of Funny Birthday cards. There were a couple adorable cat themed ones that had music and sound attached, but they were going to cost me double the normal prices, so I decided against it. I still like the one I picked out. :-) Ladies at the counter were all very attentive and pleasant.
