This massive mall with nearly 2M square feet of space for up to 200 retailers is always an interesting experience. The repertoire of shops here, of course, has changed over the years. Gone are shops like Sears, Borders and Circuit City. Now there's more contemporary replacements like Kohls, Hobby Lobby and Primark. While many traditional indoor malls are dying a slow, painful death, Gurnee Mills seems to be thriving at least to some extent. The food court is still quite active and the storefronts still seem largely occupied. I particularly enjoy places like 2nd & Charles, the aforementioned Primark and Five Below. The food options like Starbucks, Cinnabon and Charley's Steaks are quite good for a drink, a snack or a light meal. There are also places for the kids to play. All of this housed in a pleasant facility continues to make Gurnee Mills an enjoyable place to visit.

And, for certain, we were the only ones in the Levis store. What made our store visit a win, was the fact that the jeans were well organized in racks that went all the way up to the ceiling. I am a very impatient shopper, so I really appreciated that the skinny jeans section was all in order by the correct size to avoid from digging. Everything was stacked to perfection and folded just right so the size was peeking out. To our advantage, the dressing rooms were open. My son is very picky and on the skinny tall side, so he really needed to try on his pants. The kid working there was extremely kind and helpful and offered to get him every style that he wanted. The store was spotless and well organized. There were hand sanitizer stations and random hand sanitizer bottles everywhere. They had plexi shields at the cash register. We felt very safe. Great prices and a nice sales rack! Side note: After all that, when we got home my son decided he wants to go back and exchange the pants for a different style. Ugh...teenagers!
