I…read moreoriginally found him years ago after having plastic surgery in another country and the doctor there wanted me to follow up with a doctor when I returned to the USA. My internist tried to refer me to plastic surgeons he knew to no avail. One doctor refused to see me because he did not perform the original procedure and one had an opening weeks too far away. 2 others told me on the phone to go to the ER and this was not an emergency, just a follow-up. I found Dr Gutowski on-line, called his office, and he saw me that day. I have regularly seen him since then for other procedures, including Xeomin. I grind my teeth, and he uses Xeomin to relax my grinding muscles; it is a real game changer. I trust him and his skills implicitly. I regularly asked him for suggestions for procedures or asked about specific cosmetic treatment, and more often than not, would not recommend it for me and/or say I didn't need it. His office offers so many treatments and procedures. I moved out of state but when I know I will be visiting Illinois, I will schedule an appointment for more cosmetic care. I miss him, his staff, and the beautiful medical spa in Glenview Illinois.

The nurse and the physician were extremely kind in handling a high complexity patient. She elected to have a skin tag removal done which was nearly painless, which hasn't been her prior experiences. My friend and I will definitely be coming back to this office. She told me after I referred her to Derick and after her visit that she understood what I meant when I said "Derick Dermatology is the Rolls Royce of dermatology." Though we learned by experience that Derick looks and runs like a Rolls Royce costs are well in the lower tier of expenditure. To the point it'll be a surprise of how low the prices are. Long story short, I got a lip filler botched job done about 3 years ago. I was terrified to explore that world again. Well, I was getting the itch. I had a friend who had been to Cara before and had rave reviews. So, I thought I'd give her a shot (after stalking all her social media of course )! I booked for a lip consultation and Dysport. When I was in the room with Cara, I told her all my concerns. Botox never works well for me and I always prefer Dysport. Easy. Onto the lips- I told her that I was absolutely terrified to get them done. Not only was I nervous about the outcome but I was terrified of the pain. Literally was having full blown anxiety! Cara assured me that I was going to handle it fine and started showing me some photos. Somehow in 10 mins she gained my trust and before I knew it I had numbing cream smeared half way across my face! I was IN! Once she started I was like "oh.. this isn't bad at all"! We decided on purchasing an entire syringe but only using half (Restylane) and then making a follow up apt for 3 weeks to use the other half to avoid any stretching, over filling or me just plain freaking out and having buyers remorse. Needles to say after everything settled, I was ready for more! Today was week 3. My Dysport didn't give the results I was looking for so Cara went ahead and touch up my areas of concern with no questions asked. I also got my other half of the syringe. She is TRULY an artist! Every prick she makes is extreme thought and precise! So obsessed! I made another apt to come back for more right before X-Mass. If you're looking for an injection, don't look any further! Now onto Nicole! I booked a Diamond Glow treatment with her. I felt like my face just needed a little "pick me up". She was awesome! Not pushy at all! She didn't try to sell me thousands of dollars or products (I probably would've bought them though! You should see her skin!) or a package or treatments. She listened to my concerns and told me what she would recommend and we just went from there. The treatment was very soothing and I instantly noticed a rejuvenation in my skin. It did just "glow" different. As far as pricing- the Dysport and lips cost me $1000 even. I didn't have some points/coupons to use. I think before that it was $1040 (pretty average if you ask me) the lips were 650 and the Dysport was 390ish. Diamond Glow treatment was $175 and the serum we used was an extra $25. I had a coupon again so I walked out paying $170. My new favorite place! Hope this honest review helps put someone's mind at ease!

As a young mom, spending that amount on myself was a huge decision, and I put a tremendous amount of trust in this practice. Unfortunately, I deeply regret that decision based on how I've felt treated afterward. Only five months after surgery, I asked about exchanging my implants for a larger size. I was initially quoted $10,500, later reduced to $5,500 under local anesthesia, still including another $1,750 surgeon's fee. I offered $3,000 and then $3,750, hoping there would be some consideration for a patient who had just spent over $22,000. Both were declined and I was told $5,500 was firm. My follow-up appointments frequently felt rushed as well. Driving four hours round trip only to feel like there was barely time to discuss my concerns made the entire experience feel increasingly transactional. I expected the level of care and attention after surgery to match what I experienced while deciding to spend $22,000 with the practice. It did not. The billing process was equally frustrating. I had to specifically request an itemized receipt, and the liposuction performed during my surgery wasn't even identified on it. I only learned it was included in the facility fee after questioning why it was missing. I never expected another surgery for free. I expected transparency, reasonable consideration and to feel valued after making such a significant investment. Instead, I've been left feeling that my value as a patient dramatically changed once my original surgery was paid for. I genuinely wanted to remain Dr. Burke's patient. Instead, I'll be taking my business elsewhere. For over $22,000, countless hours of travel and the amount of trust I placed in this practice, I expected significantly better. Knowing what I know now, I would not choose this practice again--and I wish I had understood before paying how different my experience would feel afterward.

I looked up Dr. Taub and was excited to see she was right in my backyard at Advanced Dermatology. I called to make an appointment and they told me she wasn't seeing new patients for at least the next year. Never deterred I called their other location in Lincolnshire and they fit me in for a consultation later that month. During the consultation I met with Dr. Taub's lovely and very informative assistant and then Dr. Taub herself. They gave a recommendation for filler (which I've always been afraid of, but figured worth a shot) and scheduled me in the Glencoe office for a few weeks later. Apparently she is only in Glencoe on Thursdays, which is why it can be tough to get an appointment there. Appointment day arrived. I was a little scared of the pain, but figured it couldn't be worse than childbirth. Thanks to Dr. Taub and her amazing staff it didn't hurt at all. They also blow cold air on your face during the process, which felt really good after being outside on a very hot day. I left a little sore with very minimal bruising...and could already notice a big difference within 5 minutes. Dr. Taub didn't use all the filler i had purchased because didn't think i needed it and said the under eye area is very sensitive, but scheduled me for a quick follow up next month to see if i needed more.
