CVS is 2 minutes from my house and the vet is 30, so sure. But they had to special order it. It took a week. When it came in they texted me I could come pick it up. So far, so good. I get there and the pharmacist is standing there with the bottle in his hands and proceeds to tell me they can't "dispense" the meds because it is a non human, pet only drug. They won't sell it to me. Really? You couldn't tell me that a week ago when I asked? They're literally messing with the health of my dog. Never going back.

I have been meaning to write this review for a long time now, but I would like to thank the staff…read moreat the front for always being so kind and friendly. I have been coming here several times a week for years since I live nearby, and I'd like to thank Gulliver, Ginika, and Guap for truly always bringing a positive lift to my day. I remember a few months ago my mom went into Walgreens and saw Gulliver trying to help someone at the photo kiosk while also going back and forth to deal with a long line of customers by himself, as he was the only one there. She was like, "I have no idea how he is doing all that by himself." She was struck by how hard he was working to address everyone's needs - and how despite the obvious stressors and pressure of the situation, his attitude remained calm, positive and friendly to all. I recently observed a customer being and speaking extremely rudely to Ginika, and when I got to the counter, I told her she was my now my new role model for how to remain cool, calm and collected in such a situation. I told her I would not have been able to handle that with such grace and steadiness, and that that's why I had never lasted long in customer service. She just smiled gently and said something to the effect of, "You can't let it bother you; it's never about you." Anyway, I just wanted to write this belated THANK YOU to all of you for bringing a positive spin to my days, and for modeling for me how to be a better human lol! Seriously!! But I hate fonts that look like Comic Sans and it's a little too close for my liking. When I see it on a business, my thought immediately is "hmm... so this is the best they could offer?" and walk away. I'm glad I let go of that anti-font bias and walked into Harris Teeter. It's clean, hasn't been busy the times I've gone, and the employees are super nice. While some of the prices are a little high, being most recently from South Florida, they haven't completely thrown me for a loop. Sure, I often find myself going in specifically for a handful of things and walking out with a full cart, but I always feel like I get my money's worth-- especially when you time sales well and are willing to venture from your usual brands. For example, today I bought two boxes of a different brand of pasta than I usually buy (but needed to get two boxes anyhow) and got three more boxes for free. Pair that with BOGO Pasta sauce for the days I'm too lazy to make my own and we have a winner. Usually I just cruise the aisles for whatever deals I can find, assess whether it makes sense to buy something like five boxes of pasta, and go from there. If you're into planning, the e-VIC option is super helpful, and I LOVE how green the store is-- I don't even have to print out my coupons since they're right on my VIC card. Brilliant. Today I saved $68 before coupons, and I feel that despite walking out the door spending $120, I got my money's worth. Of the local stores that I've been in so far, I'm thrilled with how nice the vegetables look and how long they last in my house. When it's been a week since I've gone shopping and I can still eat the extra grapes I bought on sale, I'm sold. Now I also know that there are tons of farmers markets and farm stands around, and once I learn more of the area will primarily rely on them for my in-season produce, but it's nice to know I can just head to Harris Teeter and find what I need and not be disappointed by it.

This Walgreens used to provide excellent service; however, over the last 6 - 8 months their service has been absolutely ridiculous! As the primary caregiver for both my parents, I am having to fill prescriptions more frequently. For the last several months, I have had to deal with prescriptions being canceled without notification, critical prescriptions taking 5 - 7 days to be filled, and most recently, very rude and non-empathetic customer service not to mention that they have also hung up on me several times in the midst of discussions regarding issues about the prescriptions. I am very frustrated and will most likely take my business elsewhere. I don't know if they are understaffed in the pharmacy department or what the problem is but they need to DO BETTER!
