This update is for the prescription mail delivery service. It has been over a year since I started using Walgreens Pharmacy. I left a bad review based on my experience when I first started using them. I was determined to try another pharmacy, but I never got around to doing it. After the bumpy start inside the pharmacy, my prescriptions were all converted over to automatic mail delivery. Since then, everything has been sorted out nicely, and I get my prescriptions refilled automatically, and even renewed automatically between Walgreens and my doctor's office. The deliveries are always early enough so that there is no anxiety about whether or not they are coming. As far as I can tell, the service is free. I am very happy with the current service I am receiving, and I have to recommend it for anyone with recurring prescriptions. read more

No one is happy especially the staff and if you wait long enough your health will deteriorate. This Walgreens pharmacy SUCKS. I got my wisdom teeth removed today at 7am and my oral surgeon put in my order around that time. It is currently 1pm and my pain medicine isn't ready. I'm in so much pain and I don't understand why it's taking so long for my prescription to be filled. I only selected this pharmacy because I thought it would be the most convenient since they had a drive thru and was right next to my dentist office. I will never come here again. read more

I saw that they had fish oil on sale, and they were in stock at this location, Mowry Ave. So I dragged my aching body down there, and they didn't have squat. Consistently understaffed pharmacy! Do not drop off your medications here unless you have lots of time to wait. I've been to this pharmacy multiple times due to the proximity and my average wait time (no matter if you're a walk in or drive thru customer) starts from 40 mins to an hour! Dropped by today for a same day pick up for a photo. The order was placed by my friend with an estimated time for pick up at around 9:12AM. I got to Walgreens at around 12nn to pick up the said photo print outs. It didn't take alot of time for someone to help me BUT...when I got there, due to the nature of the print-out, the pictures were not printed out just yet because I had to produce evidence that the print-out abides with copyright laws which was okay. I was able to contact my friend and produce the said evidence. However, the "manager" for today kept on going around and around the store. I waited for about 37mins only to come out of the store empty handed because the machine broke. It is also my baby shower today which I am already late to because of this unorganized process. The wait time could have been severely shortened IF THE STORE CONTACTED MY FRIEND WHO PUT IN THE ORDER INSTEAD OF WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO PICK IT UP AND SORT THINGS RIGHT THEN AND THERE. After leaving, they have contacted my number saying that it's already ready for pick-up. Sorry but you can just throw that away. I've wasted enough time. I'm giving this Walgreens a 4 star rate because of the service I've gotten about 3 times now at their photo station. The last time I came here was on Monday the 4th and it wasn't for photo but something else. Lines get long quick, but they brought in another cashier to help with that in a short amount of time. Back to the photo station. They do a good job there of helping you out, the prints are honestly dirt cheap too. I got some straight off of my phone, all you need is a cord charger with usb end to it, and you can print photos of your phone in seconds, well, at least order them, then come back and it's done quickly and really cheap. I'll continue to come here for that service. read more

Wanted to give an update. Just went there to pick up some medication, needed for my severe ear infection. Order was put in at 1:30 pm today. They didn't fill it until just before 9pm. I went there to pick it up right before 9pm and they were already closed!!! Your pharmacy closes at 9pm!!! NOT 8:30, not 8:50!!! NOT EVEN 8:55pm!!!! You are not a stationary store or a restaurant. You are here to give people medication that could affect their health!! If you don't want to stay and help people until 9pm Them your hours should be different. Do you dang job!!! This place deserves 0 stars and it makes complete sense that the rating is 1.5 stars... Do better, be better or shut down! read more

I understand this pharmacy is very busy but you don't have to answer the phone when you are in rush and rudeness. I hope you don't have that attitude in person. Waited 9 hours for a prescription to be filled. Was told twice that it would be done within an 1.5 hours. Was left on hold for 4 hours during this time trying to find the status of my prescription. Waited in line for an hour to ask what was going on with the prescription. Luckily the staff was nice when confronted. 1 star. read more

The pharmacy is a JOKE. I made an appointment for a COVID test, I waited in line for 30mins before I got to the front, just for the girl to tell me my appointment is still pending approval. Which made no sense because I made my appointment the night before & got a confirmation email this morning that my appointment was set. After 5-10mins of talking to some people she tells me my appointment got approved but it's going to take 20mins for the paperwork to process, so I need to go back in line & wait. Mind you there's a full line of cars behind me. I left, because I was not going to wait an hour+ to take a test when I made an appointment. THEN I get a phone call from some guy asking if I'm going to take the test & if I am I need to pay $128!! WHY TF WOULD I PAY THAT MUCH. I said no I left because I'm not taking a test there or paying that much & he said "good" & hung up on me. Very professional lol. This place would be fine if the pharmacy weren't just *absurdly* slow. Any time I have to pick up a prescription here I have to allow for at least half an hour of waiting in line. I wouldn't mind so much except I pretty much only come here when I need a medication with some urgency. Worst pharmacy-Long lines, slow service and unreliable availability of prescriptions- our physician sent a important prescription 13 days ago to this pharmacy. The staff told us they never received it- our physician out of the kindness of her heart, waited on hold for 45 minutes when she called the pharmacy to clarify the prescription- they told her the prior prescription was received but never processed- now today they tell us they do not have it in stock and may get it in 3-4 more days- this for a prescription that should have been filled a week ago. Unfortunately this is not the first time and usually there is always something wrong, not available, or they did not receive it- Time to switch to Pillpack and Costco! At this rate, Walgreens will be like Kodak or Kmart or Sears someday read more

worst pharmacy in the bay area. I would give zero stars if I could. Always understaffed, rude, and incompetent. My husband was seen at Washington Emergency at night and was told to pick up the medication on our way back home early morning. When we went to pick up the medicine next day morning, they said the order didn't come through. I showed them pictures of discharge summary with all the details, requested them to give a call to the emergency department to verify. I had to call the emergency department multiple times and every time the hospital said the medication was sent in the correct way but the pharmacy kept on telling me they didn't receive it. I had to wait for more than an hour in the pharmacy, confused and anxious while my husband was waiting at home for the medicine so he could have some food. Do not go here if you can. They will behave as if they are working hard, but I don't know who they are serving. read more

I waited in line to get the medicine for over 30 minutes. When I was at the counter, the lady told me that my medicine was not ready and was in the progress. The system showed that it would be ready an hour ago. She told me to go back in 20 minutes. I told her that I was in a hurry and there was a long line, and it didn't make sense to have me go back to the end of the line again. She said she couldn't do anything and she sent me away. For pharmacy and drive-thru only: I'm sure the store is simply understaffed and overwhelmed, but no matter what time of day, make sure you budget an hour+ to get anything done at the pharmacy window. I've never gotten to the window by my appointment time despite arriving 10-15 minutes early, and the parking lot is not properly designed for a long drive-thru queue, so waiting will involve dangerously stalling in the middle of thru-traffic lanes in the parking lot and/or blocking parked cars. My car was hit by another customer when waiting, after getting cut in line for attempting to wait in a non-traffic obstructing manner. Despite living just 5 miles from this store, I take all my Walgreens' drive-thru appointments now to the one at Hesperian Blvd - worth the extra gas money to know I'll be able to get home from a 10am appointment before noon. read more

I used to work at this Walgreens location under miss Corrine Bettencourt Supervision and we used to run this store very smoothly and also with respect to our customers. What happening here in this Store? Last time I want to drop off my prescription to the pharmacy and the Indian lady that works there helping the pharmacy pointed me at the CVS PHARMACY. Wow yes Wow. I don't understand why she's pointing me at the CVS Pharmacy if she works at Walgreens doesn't makes any sense. Since the very beginning I always shop at Walgreens even before I used to work here. And also another Indian employee works on the floor are also rude and no respect to the customer. My god is this how they are trained? And who trained this people? When you call the phone they are also Rude they will definitely gonna hang up on you. I wish that miss Linda Defronso still their District Manager so they can get a really good disciplinary action. This is the store that we open and we build a excellent rating but now it's pretty much people that work here is nothing but a bad apple. Careful about their fedex dropoff people, I had an important document to be sent with a critical timeline -dropped off package just to find out a week later that it had been placed in the pick up section. I waited 1 week just to figure that the package has been marked as pick up instead of them shipping it out. Horrible!!!! My package was well packed and ready to be shipped. All they had to do is scan and send out the package, instead they scanned in and marked it as pick up. Arrived the next day, waited 45 minutes in line, they messed up the refill and only had 1 pill on file for 30 days. No issues the first time they fulfilled the order, something clerical on their end. I waited over an hour in the drive thru line, turning my engine off and on wasting gas, finally I get to the window and they put a huge sign up that read, "Drive Thru is Closed" That's pretty bad when u know people wait that long in your drive thru only to get treated like shit. This morning Oct. 08, 2022, at 10:30 AM, went to this pharmacy and usual there was a big line but this time the line was huge with about 50 people waiting, with one window. open. By the time I got my medication it was 12:29 PM. I was lucky though, because right after me they closed for lunch telling a big line of people to come back in 30 mins. When I spoke to the store manager, Jess, she mentioned her hands are tied and it is due to short staff caused by corporate cost cutting. Even after calling Walgreens corporate they took my name and said we will look into it. But I know they won't. Their customer service is not really a CS i, they just take your name and number and that's it. Talking about being short staff, when I went to pharmacy counter to complain about the wait, there was a big box of medication on the counters with no-one around. If I was a criminal, I could have taken the whole box and walk out. This time, I will change to CVS down the road. They are open 24 hours and most of the time have 3 people at the windows. No wonder this Walgreens has a 2 star rating. Move to another pharmacy if you value your health and sanity. .5 out of 5 stars How do I start? I used to love this pharmacy. Was super convenient and easy to pick up my meds. But that was probably because I would show up at 5:55AM on my way to work and there was no one else in the store. Now that I've been going normal hours I've come to see how messed up it is. Here are some of my observations. 1. It's a cluster because there are no clear separations between drop off, pick up, or Covid. Store management is leaving it up to the customers to argue and figure out which line is which. 2. Lack of communication. I witnessed a customer whom was being helped. Apparently the worker went on break and left the customer standing there for 20 minutes. When she came back from break, she told the customer to move to the consultation line. 3. I was the first one in the pickup line and there was no one working it that line. I stood there for almost an hour. In that time, the pick up line grew from just me to extending to the other end of the store. They should put a clear sign stating no one is working the pick up line. I could have gone to do something else and returned later. Once someone arrived I got my meds and paid in less than 2 minutes. 4. It seems that all of their resources are going to the Covid vaccination. There were two assistants and one pharmacist handling this. The government must pay well for every vaccine they administer. But even this they messed up because I saw one lady that they skipped for 45 minutes past her appointment time while they gave the the people that came later their vaccine. At this point it's time to try CVS. Hopefully it's better, but if not it's at least closer to home. read more

This review is for Walgreens Pharmacy as a whole and not toward the pharmacists there. There is just not enough staffs working behind the counters ! Waited for almost an hour to pick up my new prescriptions. Both in-store and drive-thru pick ups are long & really(2x) slow moving. (Really miss Lucky Supermarket Pharmacy). The location of the pharmacy around so many medical facilities there make it one of the busiest pharmacy. I will give their free shipping service (for refilling) a try. Will move my prescriptions to somewhere else if Walgreens does not live to my expectation. Hopefully Walgreens corporate will address this long and slow lines at this location. read more
