The "fill-in" pharmacist on 27th & College, the last week in May, 2024, stated, "You spoke over…read moreher, now I am talking over you. I didn't speak over her. She interrupted me, and I finished what I was saying. I asked her to come to the window. She did not. She could have gotten all the requested info from the drive-through window area. She got the info she asked for and then came to the window where she stated, "If you had asked me to come to the window, I would have." I did ask her. She just wanted to argue and give me a hard time all the while she HELD onto my debit card and prescription. Smh. I finally rolled up my window to stop her non-stop instigatative behavior. She got the point, and THEN she sent my card and prescription through the drive-thru window. I changed pharmacies. I admit I was not the model customer. It seemed she wanted to continue arguing because she held onto my card and prescription instead of simply sending it through the drive-through window. Within 2 days, I transfered my prescriptions elsewhere and filed a complaint. She is the heavy set brunette. Steer clear of her. You've been warned. The pharmacist on duty that day backed her up and was foul. If you can't handle a customer service job, leave. If customers don't like the service at Walgreens, don't shop there again. I won't.

No line when I walked in, long line when I found the glue I wanted and that's all I needed. Not…read morereally the Walgreen's fault the line was long and slow, all 5 people ahead of me seemed to be using credit cards through the check out scanner for the first time ever in their lives. What are the odds. Did you know the first point of sales credit card check out scanners were made by Verifone, a Hawaiian company back in 1981? I feel like that's been plenty of time for people to get used to them, but maybe I was just impatient. So I saw someone getting checked out at the photo counter (speaking of vestiges of 1981), she watched me walk up to the counter, finished the sales with the gentleman she was with (was he getting glossy prints from his Kodak Instamatic? Did you know that in 1981 Poloroid sued Kodak for copying their instant film idea? It took Poloroid 5 years in court to win that one), made eye contact...and left the counter! So, I had to return to the long line, which was now one person even longer. This wasn't the fault of the young lady working the counter, she was pretty efficient, patient and improbably cheerful. The store is clean, bright and typically stocked. Unlike CVS, they still sell cancer causing addictive drugs here, which I suppose is a positive if you still smoke but as an ex-smoker this really bothers me.

I know, 5 star review for Walgreens? During holiday rush and cold/flu season no less?…read more YES! I stopped yesterday to get a few supplements and pick up two prescriptions. One associate hunted in the store and online for one supplement with no luck, but all the rest were steeply discounted. One prescription was awaiting some details before it could be filled, but staff unsuccessfully checked for my provider one more time. Throughout staff were pleasant and professional. Today when I returned for the script, I was greeted by name by Cesar who let me know that he had called again without luck, but would try again while I was there. 5 minutes later I left with my prescription in hand. The group behind the counter worked as a highly functional team. Well done!

My only regret with this review is that it's a few years too late, and I'm not sure if the current…read moreworkers there are just as incompetent as when I sought service there, but I don't figure I'd be interested in finding out anytime soon. And with my recommendation, neither should you. Here goes. If I could give this Walgreens zero (or negative) stars, I would. Being so traumatized years ago at this location has left me only recently able to reconcile with how I was treated, giving me an ounce of courage I finally have to share my experience. I rarely get ill and rarely need to seek medication at the pharmacy, but I usually accompany other older friends when they need help and support at the counter, so I know how this works. This first direct and personal interaction for me though left me truly shaken and I will not go or step into any Walgreens ever again. The pharmacists loudly asked me to "verify" my condition in front of other customers, which put me in a vulnerable spot. Their tone was "are you sure" that I had [fill in the blanks], and they wanted to know what I was using the medication for, even though THEY clearly knew what it was for. Only later, after sobbing into a puddle of tears, in the parking lot, speaking to my doctor on the phone that I found out that the pharmacy had called THEM just prior in order to verify my condition WHILE I was waiting to be called for my medication. The fact that they called my doctor is understandable and it made sense, but then they preceded to embarass me in front of a long line of customers in the pharmacy where my neighbors probably also go to? I asked why they were asking me this and provided a mumbo jumbo answer. Well, my truth to God answer for them is that, up to my long and living years, and up to that waking moment, I've not yet met a group of inhumane AND unintelligent human beings put together. Never have I met a group of healthcare professionals, so unprofessional, unkind and with a lack of empathy, that disregarded the sensitive information of their customers. Forget the hippocratic oath, Walgreens has the hyprocrisy oath. Never again!
