I am a hospice patient and every Walgreens I've ever been to since being on hospice and even prior to that act extremely rude or sometimes flat out refuses to my pain medication so my hospice switched to a hospice only pharmacy, Enclara, but that means wau for FedEx to deliver the medication and, due to natural events, such as the major had in Florida, I have had to go without my medication for breakthrough pain for two days now because of the arrogance and attitude of Walgreens, which is what caused me to switch to the order as I mentioned
this country does not have a opioid epidemic, that is simply a fault Hood and I should know as a neuropsychopharmacologist, with doctorate degrees in both the aforementioned and medicine as a medical doctor, anesthesiologist, the problem we have is hyped up, but it's really because of government and pharmacy restrictions that people the street to get relief from pain and who is anyone that denies pain relief to those in need but an evil, uncaring person. If you look at true statistics, alcohol is the main contributor to addiction and mortality and morbidity related events by a factor of nearly 10! For those who don't know, Walgreens has a checklist that was very secret, but got leaked by a good pharmacist they had, in which they fill out silly questions for any controlled substance and then send it to the and as living more than 35 miles from the pharmacy or attempting to get the drug filled at a different pharmacy before coming to Walgreens, even if it was out of stock, will cause a red flag to be put on you.
furthermore, there is no need for rudeness and arrogance shown by these pharmacists who think they are physicians or at least they want that and they exert their desire for power by not only embarrassing patients with narcotic prescriptions, but refusing to for whatever reason which their terms and conditions give them the right to do if you shop with them. I will never set foot inside ever again and I suggest nobody else does, Walmart and have been wonderful towards me, but Walgreens is a completely different story and it's quite sad to be honest that they're still even in Business... please excuse any typos and or grammatical errors as I dictated this from my iPad. Bottom line is I would give a negative rating if I could, but Walgreens abuse of authority, belittling patients with pain and so much more is unmatched by any other large pharmacy chain - by a long shot. read more
